- Just getting to the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo is an endurance event, let alone the full weekend race itself. I've teamed up with Alex Howes while Laura is partnered with Paralympian Meg Fisher.
Not everything goes to plan in this early season adventure, see how it all shakes out here. - Спорт
The ultimate type 2 fun is the roads trips with young kids where there are too many logistics and too many things go wrong….but man when you flip that photo calendar to Feb 2024 in a years time the pictures sure hold sweet memories.
Very well said.
Your crash was no joke, I'm pretty sure I was one of the folks who walked out from our camp to make sure you were alright. Im Glad it wasn't worse than it was. Heal up man.
Also great work hauling the kids out there, that might be more challenging than 24 hours of racing, Cheers
Damn peeps, amazing ride ladies! Welcome to the amazing desert riding! Raised two kids in VT. Left in 15, Taos NM now home.
Loved seeing vermonters crush it!
Sorry for your crash bro. You are so even keeled!! Heal up and love those kids!
fantastic content!! Uber athletes and relatable human content! What lucky kids
Great VLOG Ted! Shows all the good and the not-so-good of a weekend like that!
You got that right. Don’t even show you the real nitty gritty. But that’s only cause I don’t have images of the X-rays or hospital shots. 🫣
@@TedKing1 FWIW, you made the right decision turning back on that muddy road. We didn’t and almost rolled the van.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing another great adventure inspiring others along the way! Heal up Ted!
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for taking it on all of you and congratulations….Epilogue?
Awesome video, that event would be a blast.
Like a Fisher Cat! Team KingFisher Tough as nails!
Sorry to hear about your crash,Ted, but props to Laura and Meg! Well done!
Kudos! I used to do solo 24 hour racing when it first started. Glad that it has continued on.
That face on Hazel staring at the barrel cactus : -)
Way to go guys, enjoyed seeing your precious children in the vid too. After all the hoopla, gather your children and hug them n kiss them a lot!! 😊
Bravo King Family, Bravo !
Great video.
Speaking of "off course", I crashed on my gravel bike in Saguaro National Park East (a couple miles from my house) here in Tucson when the trail abruptly went downhill, off-camber and loose gravel over hard pack and was on Rene Herse Barlow Pass tires which slid out instantly. Got a palm full of thorns from a prickly pear cactus at ground level that I stiff-armed to break my fall. That sucked a bit. Try to avoid the chollas, they're worse lol.
Well done Laura. Get better quick Ted.
thank you!
this video is so badass. congratulations to laura and meg 🎉!!
thank you!
Bummed to hear about the crashes, Laura' such a bad ass mom! Hope you heal soon man!
thanks Mike!
I see Hazel found Blippi...
New sunglasses sponsor Mr King, looking fly
I’m loving the new SunGod shades! Good eye.
Took our dog to 24hop this year and poor thing ended up with fox tails embedded in his paws, but, thigh. $900 vet appointment with surgery and antibiotics for 10 days, eye drops ever 6 hours (had a fox tail in eye) and pain meds later. Lessons were learned.
Yikes. So fun but so hard.
Son took second in corporate category.
congrats to your son! too awesome. I hope your pup is ok!
It would have been boring if it were all butterflies and sunshine........keep up the good work, thank you.
I am surprised you can hold the little one with broken ribs . Your pain threshold is high . 6 weeks
Howes didn’t finish the rest of the race solo after you crashed out?
Go team KingFisher! Total bad-asses. And bummer bout your crash Ted.
Love it!
Awesome!!
1:12 , so cute !
Cracked ribs and that DNF, that's a heavy price to pay, hurts to hear that, Ted. And what's the future of protective gear for these events? I'd think anyone not actually paid to ride and represent should suit up somewhat like a motocross rider so that falls are more an embarrassment than costly injury.
i would never do one of those 24 hr races again.
ugh!! desert crashes, thorns on everything, need pliers painful, always one more, picking out gravel bits for weeks, "soft" looking trails are way way harder...cool scenery though
Love the bike design ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
Your wife is a beast, hands down. Ted, how are you feeling?
thank you!
Who said you need mountains for mtb races?
