Happy gaming!
Ylands, cave diggers 2, and Darkstar one look pretty cool. Id like reviews of any of those. Its a pretty stacked week to me when i see three interesting, unique games coming to the switch this late in its life.
Every time Glen classifies a game as “a game you play when you don’t know what to play”, I can’t help but burst into laughter. Seeing that I have a backlog of 50ish games (and 3x that amount on my wishlists) it’s never a question of - what do I want to play. It’s plain and simple - when?
Same here! I still have NES and GBA games I haven’t played through.
as someone with a huge backlog I know exactly what he means. Sometime you wanna game and dont know what you wanna play so you boot up something comfortable while you figure out what you want to play
Been waiting for Moonstone Island! Probably picking up Everafter falls too! :)
my exact thoughts
I’m adding that Echo Generation to my waiting list. It looks absolutely lovely
Between Moonstone Island and Everafter Falls, cozy gamers are eating well this week. Nice art styles.
Echo generation looks interesting and of course that moonstone island. I do find it funny that we're getting all four of the garden of banban games but the prices are so wild.
I have added Echo Generation (looks like quirky fun), Moonstone island (looking forward to the SwitchUp review), Y Lands (again keen for the review), Darkstar One (when I hear "Space Opera" I think Mass Effect but if this is half as good then I'm in) and Everafter Falls (Stardew with a darkside) to my wishlist. Wow I've never had a week so full of games I'm keen for, thanks SwitchUp I'd have missed them were it not for this video!! 🎉😊
Echo Generation really caught my eye this week, looks very enjoyable. Tavern Talk too, but I’m not really down with the artwork on that one.
That Echo Generations is my big take away here. Needs a physical ASAP.
Ylands and Darkstar seems to be games I could pick up. However it looks like while Ylands is a modest price. You need almost twice as much for all the DLC they have listed. Going to wait for the review before I decide.
Thank you! :) The "DLCs" are simply pre-made structures that you can choose to buy but they are not necessary. You can even build the exact replicas of them in the game if you'd like :) Feel free to let us know if you have any questions!
That Tavern one looks really intriguing and relaxing, thanks for the heads up!
I remember playing Darkstar One: Broken Alliance on Xbox360 (still have it) and it was one of my favourite space operas of the generation. Is this a remaster of that game Glen?
If so, it’s🔥🫶
Tried the demo for Dicefolk on Steam and I absolutely LOVE it! It's like the Rotation battles from Pokemon Black and White; and anything that reminds me of those wonderful games is good in my book!
Echo generation seams beautiful
Darkstar One looks like the 8-bit classic Elite on steroids.
It should, it originally released in 2006 on PC. It got a release on xbox 360 in 2010, and here we are... a mere 14 years later and we get it on switch. It was pretty meh in 2010 and there are much better options on switch. Buy Rebel galaxy Outlaw and relive some Privateer vibes instead.
Times and Galaxy, Tavern Talk and Darkstsr One all interest me, but'll be wishlisting for now
Aahh. A slow week. Im glad. My wallet is safe. For now... 😂
Ah another great SwitchUp video and well worth swapping mid way through another video when I saw this pop up in the feed!
I was trying to spend time at the beach and get some sun like a normal human being this summer BUT with monster hunter stories remaster, paper Mario thousand year door and Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance, I’m going to have a hard time getting out of the house tbh lol
Moonstone island I’m so excited about!!! I can’t wait to try it! You guys will love it I’m sure! Ylands, Everafter Falls and Echo Genreation look really neat and now they’ve been added to my wish list! Thanks for the great video as always ☺️
Ylands appears pretty cool. Looking forward to your review.
We are looking forward to it too!
Love it when you post a video. I do pity my wallet though.
Relatable comment
I will wait on Cave Digger 2 until SwitchUp does a review on how it plays on the standard Switch. Very interested, but concerned about lag and so forth.
Idk, other than Moonstone Island, there aren't any that interests me. Although I did bought two ganes, one from Limited Run Games and other from Super Rare Games not that long ago. I'm looking forward to those two. Great video as always!
Played times and galaxy demo, very fun! Might pick it up.
Not blown away by this week's selections but might get Cave Digger. Thanks for the video!
Lovely stuff ❤ echo generation has caught my attention!
I got a steamdeck back in January. And while I still play my switch, I still enjoy your videos for Steam as most of these games are available there as well
Ylands is a day one buy for me at this point i did alot of research on it ive played the free one i definitely will be getting this one day one ! If anything just to build beautiful stuff in
Been waiting for Moonstone Island to release on Switch! So excited for it! Love the card-based, turn-based battles. Too many cozy games have real-time combat and it makes the games very uncozy for me.
Dicefolk looks like fun! I'm quite curious to see how it plays with dice.
I played the demo for Tavern Talk on Steam and it's so good! Definitely going to get this.
oof, this is an expensive week!
Really hoping for reviews of Moonstone Island and Everafter Falls 🤞
I was about to preorder Moonstone Island, but I saw that the availability isn't there yet, so I am simply waiting on it so I can purchase it. Ever since last year. I've been really interested in playing it and it's finally happening! 😊
I hate to say this (but my 300+ backlog loves it), but nothing this week tickled my fancy. Still, a great video as always, Glen!
Darkstar One looks like something I may be interested in. I will look out for a review of that one.
Ylands looks neat 👍
Though, i will get Darkstar One first as loved Wing Commander back in the 90's ❤❤❤
Been playing Tunic and got Dragon quest 11 on the big sale been really looking forward to getting dicefolk. Evolings got an update recently and is a monster catching rogue like
Tunic!
Some good games this week to consider picking up. I wonder if we’ll get a Nintendo direct this week as well?
Echo generation has a similar look to the Touryst, with some stranger things elements. As someone who grew up in the 90’s I hope it captures the feel of it. Yeah I think I want this game.
Honestly most of these games look great, id try them out.
Thanks for the vid❤
Imma pick up moonstone island and echo generation looks cool cause I loved costume quests .
Darkstar One looks appealing, but I think I'll just be sticking with Everspace for now.
I am intrigued by darkstar one and will probably get the last two at some point. I am a fan of coffee talk so Tavern talk seems like more of that.
Woah, echo generation looks really cool- I would never have heard of it without watching this!
Holy... Darkstar One is now over 18 years old. The footage you showed here doesn't look much better than back in the day but my mind can trick me of course.
If you HAVE to play a space game and haven't played Everspace yet, then rather pick that one up.
The summer sale has taken the main attention this week, I'd say
Moonstone island is the one I have to get!! I’ve been waiting for awhile for that one
Nothing this week, just got Dark Souls in the sale so putting myself through that currently, as well as about 7 other games that have gone down to their lowest prices that I've just picked up. On another note, every game should have a demo/trial version. Publishers and developers shouldn't be allowed to hide poor games behind impressive imagery or overpowered hardware demonstrations, so we all know what it is we're getting into before putting down our money.
So far I've only been burned by one game. Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom. It has a good idea but is mostly just a point and click VN with very little replay ability.
Ylands and echo generation for me. But im a physical kind of guy so just waiting. Cave digger also looks interesting
Okay I have to say it. I think it really needs to be mentioned that Everafter Falls is not quite what it appears to be. This is even teased in the trailer.
I like the darker/scifi undertone that is shown. It was very different and would set it apart from just being a farm sim. Please look at the trailer and the END. People are seriously going to write this one off based on a bad presentation and not seeing a bigger and more interesting picture. It has potential and I have personally wishlisted it to keep tabs on and quite possibly buy. If the mold is broken in a good way then that is......err....good? Yes that is good.
I'd really like to get Steamworld Dig 3. Dig 1 was good and part 2 ramps it up, I'd like a 3rd.
Echo generations is a great game, played on xbox. Ill get it now on switch as well as moonstone island and ever after falls.
Echo generation and Everafter falls look really good
Dice Folk looks fun! I'm into it!
Echo Gen and Ylands looks cool
How can you boys sleep at night, knowing the damage you are doing to our backlogs with your amazing work lol
Definitely a couple of buys this weekend, fathers day gifts to one's self 👍
Echo Generation looks pretty interesting!
What’s this? Echo Generations?! I’m getting Stranger Things vibes, this looks magnificent! How have I never heard of this? 🤯
Echo Generation and Cave Digger 2 piqued my interest enough that I'd want something more in-depth on them, but I don't think anything shown ranks a day 1 purchase, especially after what the recent sales did to my backlog.
I’ve been playing Paper Mario 64 lately, it’s fun if you’ve got the digital N64
I really love the look of Echo Generation
I’d love to play some games but I’m on holiday and my blooody left joycon won’t connect!
A lot of these games looks really good to me. There isn't enough time in the day to play them all.
I hope moonstone island eventually gets a physical release that’s when I’ll get it.
Cant wait for more quality reviews 😊
I heard you say Moonstone and my heart skipped a beat, but then you added island...
I feel surreal. _Times & Galaxy_ goes bizarrely well with the "live, laugh, love" inspirational poster parody I'm sketching at the moment. My work has a delightfully dark Hunter S. Thompson quote on it, so I really wish some lovely weirdo wants it on their office wall.
Galactic gonzo journalism, yes please!
Echo Generations looks cool.
Echo Generation looks like an awesome game.
I have recently become a subscriber and would love to see my name in your videos ;) Not sure where to tell you "what to call me", but if this will do then "Adib MH". You guys are the best! I'm always excited about your Chip Butty selection :)
My hat is off to you @SwitchUpYt as it must be such a slog to trawl through the ton of shovelware and scam games in the coming soon section of the eShop to actually find some, passable games to talk about. I’ve given up on visiting the eShop now and wait in hope that whatever the successor to the Switch is has a better eShop.
I now buy off what I see on your channel. I will look forward to Darkstar review.
I must be going senile because I could’ve sworn Moonstone Island was already on Switch
Been waiting MONTHS for moonstone island.
Cave digger has to be a vr port😂
Playing ylands on Deck at the moment its a great game. I think it will be a perfect fit for switch.
Thank you so much, we appreciate it :)
Came expecting nothing…
MOONSTONE ISLAND FINALLY!!!
Happy Moonstone island is finally coming to switch.
I would recommend against buying Ylands. The game is mediocre and the developers are underhanded. I purchased the game years ago on steam where it was early access. They completely changed the game, and then just prior to release they made the game free-to-play without any compensation for those that bought it. I would expect them to eventually screw over those who purchase this on Switch as well.
That's F'd up 👎🏿
Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for the heads up!
Yland looks fun which is kinda sad really and I also did a quick google search; the game is indeed Free To Play on Steam AND on Mobile so its kinda baffling why they are selling a F2P game at 30$ 😅
What’s mediocre about the game?
Same developer of DayZ. They've pulled this move TWICE now. I was interested before but this is gonna be a hard, sad pass for me.
Raycons ordered = first play through of Killer frequency once they arrive.
I tried a pokemon Stardew type game before and it ok but wasn’t that polished and was pretty weak on both parts it was pulling from so I wonder how Moonstone is but will wait on reviews rather then jump the gun this time.
Also Cave Digger 2 has less than 70 reviews on steam at 87% and was vr so it could be a really good hidden gem that maybe finds better success on switch.
Ouuu moonstone island is calling my name!
i get a mother 3 vibe on echo generation.
Man , I want all of these games
is cave digger 2 one of those games that sucks when you play it solo?
Echo generation looks so.....90ish!
I want it so bad
Ever since Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for GBA I wasn't a big fan of deck building games, but Moonstone Island looks gorgeous enough it makes me want to try it. I like the alchemy element, I just hope it won't end up like Potion Permit - fun concept, disappointing gameplay.
Don't think u need to worry about that. Moonstone is out on steam already if u wanna check out some gameplay. Plus the devs are already working additional content. Moonstone has a ton more to do then potion permit. I know that much.
Echo Generation, Moonstone Island and Darkstar One look good. Not a good week for the wallet
is it wrong that I am interested in most of those, lol
Moonstone Island or Everafter Falls? Which one should I play all weekend?
Hmm, no physicals this week
Moonstone island!!!!
Nothing for me, I will be to busy playing SMT V.
Echo generation goves me thimbleweed park vibes
Moonstone
Do people reckon moonstone island will be good on switch? Never played it on anything else
Nothing that really excites me this week unfortunately and with sooo many other amazing games on sale atm there’s no shortage of option rn
RoooooOooh!😖 why, why do the games i often find to be the most appealing visually turn out to be turn base?? Whyyyyyy??🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️😭😅
Good list tho.❤
i still wonder why is there no fallout game on there. really frustrating
wait ylands is on switch?
Tomorrow! :)
soon Switch 2 reveal🎉🎉
hahaha.. possibly we have to wait a bit longer.
