@@rockrollangel1972 that is not up to the jailers. Detectives and police officers at the scene depend on probable cause and ultimately the District Attorney decides to to proceed with a criminal case or drop all or part of the charges. Good question

I have never understood how anyone can get drunk. I don’t even like being buzzed. Guess it’s the control freak part of my personality.
It's a coping mechanism. Not a very healthy one but most of those people are probably dealing with depression and anxiety and the drinking takes the edge off.
I'm kind of the same way, I don't like not having control over my own life and circumstances and I've got friends who smoke Crystal Meth. I drink a little and smoke weed in moderation but will never touch Meth. Once you start it takes over your whole life and you're miserable 90% of the time PLUS your dealer literally owns you.

Being a police officer is probably the toughest job in the world. Dealing with a myriad of different people with a pleuthora of problems.

I ran into a guy like the first “UFC” dude in college. He had a Mohawk and was pushing everyone out of the way to get a beer…girls…guys, threatening to beat them up if they had a problem. I was tasked to escort him out of the party. Once outside, he stood in the middle of the road and started doing a fake karate stance wanting to fight me, motioning with his fingers to “bring it on”…I had been training a few yrs in martial arts…judo, aikido…so I thought, sure why not? He projected his first punch so much I was able to step off the line, grab his wrist with one hand and the back of his head with my other. I then proceeded to use his face as a street sweeper. Ultimately, he stumbled away with his face covered with pieces of asphalt lol
People who actually know how to fight RARELY look for trouble like he did.
Judo and Aikido actually work pretty well together whether you're an offensive or defensive fighter. What made you choose those two styles? Asking because I've been into martial arts since I was seven years old and taught for seven years.
I've only had to use my martial arts training once or twice in all these years. The first time I got jumped by five dudes at once; first one got me in a headlock and all I did was reach under his nose with one single finger (pressure point under the nose) and pushed him backwards and then got away. Nothing spectacular, it wasn't like the fight scene in "Jack Reacher". The second time I didn't even realize I was using martial arts until after it was over and somebody said it looked like I was using martial arts but in the moment I wasn't thinking about any of that & it was pretty simple too, all I did was block a punch and it was over.
Wise words for everyone pick and choose your friends very carefully. My Grandfather always said, you tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are.

The 21 year old girl at the end didn't seem to care that she caught all those charges as long as she had fun. It's really sad to me that hooking up with strangers that have a lot of money is what is attractive to so many. Are we going to see her in a year with rotting teeth and tattoos, addicted to drugs?
