  • In Las Vegas, an enraged inmate damages the window of a patrol car. In Portland, Oregon, a man overestimates the consequences of his actions. In Tacoma, Washington, a couple denies getting abusive with each other, but evidence apparently shows they are.

The way she peaks out from her crying eyes, is sad...
The person behind the camera should have not been there imo, maybe farther back. I know the edit we see was later for the show and makes it closer but when you see her crying like that though...
Man, as much as I absolutely think she needs to make better decisions in her life she definitely didn't deserve to have her emotions zoomed in on like that
Kinda heartbreaking... I've definitely known people who never seem to get it and it finally clicks.
I hope she gets to that moment quickly. She has a little one who needs her so they don't end up in the same place later. Ugh

I can relate to that poor girl with the eating disorder. I, too, struggle with weight. I pretty much stopped eating due to stress. I'm 62 years old, 5'2" and weigh 80 pounds. Nothing was intentional. I'm trying to gain it back, but, it's hard. I hope she can get the help she needs. Treatment is great; however, when she got out, she went back to the same environment. That never works.

I do also. Ive never had an eating disorder but i had an opioid and benzo addiction that led to just very poor eating habits, never seem to feel hungry and I've always been pretty skinny too. Even after being clean for 15 months ive only gained back about 10lbs. Im about 5'10 and weigh around 130. I try to force myself to eat enough to stretch my stomach out and that would lead to feeling hungry more but like u said its hard gaining and keeping weight on. I try to stay positive and not care about what ppl say or think. I hope things are going well for you. God bless and take care

I felt Jordan's story too. As a teen I had a horrible eating disorder, dropped outta school and would be at the gym from 10am til 8pm working out all day Monday to Friday. I survived off of water, slices of celery and cucumber. I lost nearly half my body weight very rapidly, ended up in the hospital with a feeding tube down my throat and permanent damage to my stomach and liver. I haven't set foot in a gym in 25yrs almost, and going back soon to help me gain some muscle and get my weight under control. I'm petrified to slip down that slope again

Oh I feel for the girl with an ED. She’s suffering & made a VERY bad decision, very serious mistake. But she’s just gone from deadly sick having been extremely emaciated a significant weight gain that is fantastic heath-wise but likely has terrified & overwhelmed here.
Surprisingly enough judges do consider trauma & addiction / mental health / EDs when making decisions. She will have to at least reduced SIGNIFICANTLY. This depends on the state of course but I imagine with some of Oregon’s politics that it’ll be dropped or - more likely - lessened to a far less serious crime, probably a misdemeanor of sorts. No jail time. Maybe required therapy (which she’s probably already doing). Maybe community service. Probably some sort of fine. & then she can get it exported rather soon, a year or two.
I wish her the best in life. Care for yourself. Be gentle with yourself. Make better decisions. You’ll do so when you care more about yourself & your life.

I wish the best for the girl with the ED & the young mother selling herself. I know these are old videos (or so I think, right?) so I hope they are better now…
I imagine the charge was dropped or lessened for the first girl (which is what I truly believe will happen) & she’ll begin to find herself & navigate the world in a healthier manner, with support. I imagine the second girl stayed off drugs & stopped selling herself, got a job, rekindled with her mother (maybe lives with her again as social support), & has her daughter back, raising her with her mother’s help & guidance.

Don’t ask people with Anorexia/an ED how much weight they restored, especially so recently out of treatment. (I know they can’t possibly know how to handle every situation of course) and especially don’t ask what their lowest weight was or sound surprised they gained so much weight in a short period of time. They have been starving so it’s very easy (physically not mentally) to gain some weight once they start fuelling their body again.

I personally know several women/men who have recovered custody of their children and stay clean. We just needed to be shown the way and given a temporary helping hand. To see them trying to help is very destructive to individuals sense of empowerment. Building healthy communities would incentify individuals faith in themselves to solve daily problems that may arise. As long as MONEY and POWER are the goals taught to individuals, this lawlessness must increase. The primary question is WHO BUILT THESE COMMUNITIES?????? Oh, maybe power and money constructed money PITS with a government supported approval!!!

Prostitution should NOT be incriminated like this! Services need to be provided, not criminal sentences, as then these women feel even less hopeful & less likely to make a change as it seems even more impossible with each new charge. So often these girls are addicted, traumatized, being pimped out. She clearly wants better but has no idea how to get out of the hole she’s in. The idea of getting a job (the fear of not being able to find one that’ll hire her with a criminal record, first of all) & her own place & supporting her daughter (as much as she loves her) must be utterly terrifying- she has NO CLUE where to start. Especially as she needs to live somewhere & for that she needs money, but she needs to live somewhere before getting a job to make sure she’s stable, so she turns to quick ways of making money, probably staying in cheap hotels or with awful men. That first rung on the ladder to pull yourself out is ALWAYS the one that looks farthest away & the most likely to be unstable & collapse. However she must climb that first rung, take that first step before she can get herself out of this sad existence.
THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO SUPPORT THESE WOMEN, NOT CRIMINALIZE, as then it keeps them where they are, if not feeling MORE stuck.
