#230 owner here for the 2024 Eray. It's an amazing car. Bang for the buck it's a much better buy over any porsche in my opinion. People don't realize this car comes STANDARD with Carbon Ceramic Brakes & rotors, Magnaride suspension, Forged wheels, Wide body kit, Stealth Mode, 360 degree cameras, self closing front/rear trunks, etc and people are dynoing 575 hp/620#Torque TO THE WHEELS bone stock. Incredible value for an all around sports car. The fact that it can look good while hanging with super/hyper cars stop light to stop like for 1/4-->1/10th the price is incredible.
Loved your reaction for your 0-60…2.2 is pretty darn good!! I feel this car is a sleeper meaning it will destroy most cars on the road!! Lastly it might not be track focused, BUT I feel it could hold its own🏎️
Ya know what I loved most about this video? It made me remember my old home town of San Clemente! My wife grew up there, my kids grew up there, but we moved out about 9 years ago to a beautiful little fishing surfer village in Costa Rica! Para Vida!

I'm just concerned how few are coming off the assembly line these days. Is there something wrong with it? With the ZR1 been announced for production soon, will the E-Ray fall further behind in production and become obsolete soon...?
Well as fast as this car is it will NEVER Draggy at 2.2. The other RUclipsr Jesse has already gone to a track and proved this. The in car timer is definitely NOT accurate. But most of your friends will never know so just tell them 2.2! lol Awesome car! With the latest release of the ZR1 being a Flatplane crank twin turbo this won’t see much more hype. It’s a great car like you said though. And Zero to 60 will beat most out there!

Then you add another instant delivery of 160hp/125lb-ft torque to the front and make it AWD, the E-Ray should be much quicker than the Z06 in a straight line. The only factor that I can see holding it back is the increased weight.
I would love to experience a new GTR! I'm definitely going to add that to the list. I think you are right... it has been very illusive to me. Thanks John!
why the e-ray? its not a direct competitor and built differently. From system, tires, no wings , the z06 would be. its only a hair quicke to 60 than the z06 and running about the same quarter. But around the track that wasnt what it was designed for unlike the z06
Sorry, but this is simply a better car than a 992 Turbo S as a GT car for the road by a wide margin. Regardless of price, there are very few cars that can actually match Y chassis cars for handling regardless of weight with the ERAY on the road. The level of car propaganda in the modern era is off the charts. Porsche is not giving the public A GTLM CHASSIS on ANY of their production cars or GMs magride. Way too much missing on a Turbo S to be competitive against this car.

Chevy has seriously stepped up their game with the C8, but the Turbo S still has a better quality interior/materials, and in general is just a more refined car. The ride and handling on the C8 is similar or maybe better, but the Turbo S is significantly quicker. Car and Driver tested it to be over half a second quicker through the quarter mile, and it traps a 10 mph higher speed, which is the difference between an E-Ray and a Camaro SS. Porsche is often hyped to the moon, but the Turbo S is no slouch.
Guess what neither does any ice motor until its max rpm 🤣. FYI electric motors put out max power immediately when commanded and will achieve much faster like having a twin turbo one small and one large where the efficiency ranged touch. So yes it is calculated together. Look at the sf 90 it can hang with 1000 hp cars and even beat them same deal electric motor and an ice motor and boast 1000 combined hp.
@@3120DownForce Not possible without dynoing the front motor independently, but dyno charts seem to suggest they have different peaks due to a low peak hp number and a high peak torque number. The e-motor does visibly start to drop off by the time the gas motor is making peak power.
Love the channel and most of your vids but leave the walk arounds to Raiti or Dougie D.... you're the actual driver and i like watching you rip these cars on the track not walking around them telling us about quirks and features lol
I hate to tell you this, but the timer on the ERay’s are not correct. PURPOSELY DONE OR JUST NOT CALIBRATED, either way They lie! Those cars DO NOT get 2.2 0-60 Please use your dragy and you will see..
Fortunately GM has it listed as a Carrera 4S competitor in their marketing media, which it is significantly faster and cheaper than still. The Turbo S is still fairly peerless in the realm of ICE cars in its category.
@@NiceterCoolster throwing an electric engine upfront does not mean they should charge Z06 money basically for a stingray with an electric AWD. it does not get any faster 0- 60s as they claim. The timer in the car is off. In the world draggy verified it barely gets a 3.0. My stingray does a 2.7 and my Z06 will do the same. The only thing that makes the Eray great is being able to twin turbo or supercharge it. I’ve seen one in person with the lingenfelter and heard it and yes, that thing is a beast.

It looks better than a Turbo S, it sounds better than a Turbo S, it's cheaper than a Turbo S, it doesn't have the blank buttons or the piano black plastic that the Turbo S has. They're not exactly in the same category, but the Turbo S isn't absolute as you think

TBH, I was kind of unimpressed by the numbers from this car, relative to the Z06. It SHOULD be way faster than the Z06, but it just isn't.

I have 992 Turbo S and a new Z06, ride, performance and fun they are equals
Compared to a z06, the eray is 8k less, faster 0-60, faster 1/4 mile, no gas guzzler tax, carbon brakes standard, still get the muscle v8 fun.
