Sierra is a world class musician! She never ceases to amaze me.
Absolutely stunning! Mr. Jodziewicz has a beautiful tone and technique. Ms. Hull makes her mandoline sound like a clavichord. They both make Bach sound totally authentic.
Sierra Hull must be the worlds best musician, comeon playing the mandolin like her it's fantastic i'm speachless
Love this, you inspire me.
In addition to all of the good comments that were given I’d like to add that to do that without sight reading to have it memorized it’s also extremely impressive. Thank you!
I love when Bach is played by virtuosos, who are based in a folkoristic background. They have this certain flow that so many classical-only-musicians lack. Keep going, Sierra and Ethan! Along with Johann Sebastian you guys make a perfect trio of geniuses! (And I know from a relyable secret source, that Bach is smiling in this very moment ...)
Absolutely freaking phenomenal, both of you.
This just goes to show once again that Bach can take--and will take over--anything you throw at him, no matter how improbable. Both these fabulous young musicians show super-abundant natural talent; but they're also very well educated (Sierra went to Berklee, Ethan to Curtis) and it shows in their second piece here, maybe even more than in the Bach. It makes this old plucker's heart sing to hear such music pouring out of them.
Hello from England, unbelievable playing by both world class musicians .
Outstanding. Absolutely great!
Fabulous !
I love that swing in Bach!! =D
Brilliant!
This is fabulous
Amazing musicianship.
This is brilliant. Sitting on the dock loving life. Thank you
Thanks again Ms Hull...and the guy. On the big guitfiddle.
So cool
I am trying to teach myself music theory for the guitar. I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me. Whatever you do in life please never stop playing mandolin😀
Bravo!
This is so hard to play as a duet, with all the off-beat notes! It's fun to watch Mr. Ethan turn his bass into a cello :-D .
I just noticed once again the moment that the Bach piece ends.
It is the most perfect musical finish I think I've ever heard- and seen. And they know it. Look at her face. Absolutely stunning.
Bach was very good at finding musical perfection.
Shes a keeper.
Great performance by you both. - Justice Constantine
Wow!
That second tune was almost breathtaking, it was a brilliant composition on top of that! From what was said it was an original, I think.....
The greatest mandolin players of all times.
Wow
Briljant!
Amazing. I've never heard Bach played on a mandolin before. Awesome.
try Chris Thile
@@bryanjohnston6193 3 years later but thanks for the tip.
My absolutorium!
Great
Versatility to the limit. Playing Bach and wearing cowboy boots :-)
This is the opening music for the next Wes Anderson movie.
There is no trace of the authentic Bach in this performance. The two performers are racing through their scales - and that's it.
You gotta love them scales
Johann Sebastian wrote some good stuff, n'est pas? Really bought to life by this amazing duo. Two seriously good musicians...
If he were alive today, I know he'd approve of this arrangement and performance; that piece really sounds great this way.
ThE Bach piece was a slightly faster tempo than its usually played, but it's interesting the way the melody is split up between 2 instruments. Beautiful!
I don't know what that 2nd piece was, but I love it, it's very original, and I don't even know what to call it- it's sort a almost like a quick little jazz/folk fusion.
Windham Hill/NPR/Bela Fleck style. As a jazz musician I'd say not jazz. But no one owns the definition.
Wonder if She ever met Jethro Burns.who started out in "BlueGrass" then went on to play in many styles of music including "Jazz" he was awesome,She seems to be following in his directions
Considering that Sierra wasn't born until two and a half years after Jethro died, I'd have to say probably not. Duh.
The tempo is much faster on this version than the one from January 2016. Were you guys experimenting? Plus, always like e-tune.
Sierra Hull on oikeasti huippu soittaja! Näin pitkään mietin?
Amazing. Is there any style of music she cannot play? Sierra Hull is a game changer
HUZZAR!!!!
E tune AKA "Ethan is not a Jerk"
You will notice no sheet music in her face here.
bluegrass girl play Bach - unique...
Johann Sebastian probably would have appreciated Bluegrass as well I suspect - it has a lovely complexity.
I Imagine J.S. Bach and Sierra Hull would have gotten along excellently.
Who is her husband? Somebody gave her that big "Rock" She's wearing ?
Richard Prince She is married to musician Justin Moses.
Justin Moses.....there are some videos with the two of them playing together available.
@@lorenzolarue337 And they are just stunning and so endearing as well...
@@45067daddymac he was named after a man of the cloth at least the last name
Mark Hoemmen, I disagree. IT CAN'T BE DONE ! ! ! With someone keeping time for the two it would be extremely difficult. Without that, it is impossible. This may be one of those instances when I dislike people doing the impossible. I just can't wrap my head around it.
It does sound good though, doesn't it
Funny, he doesn't look like Edgar...
