great vid! I've been using blender for ages and seeing you just parent the camera to the empty blew my mind. I've been using object constraints and curves to do rotations for the camera and I had no clue it was that easy
I'm a beginner to blender about 4months in and i just got the handle of complete modelling, still have basic knowledge of shading and animation, i must say this was of great help. These kind of tutorials is needed to give an overwhelmed beginner the confidence to start doing cool effects, and understand a bit about them. Thanks alot and come back with more please 🙏
I did EXACTLY the same thing you did but I didn't get any flashes, it was just a red streak that swept over logan? Do you know why and if so please tell me?????????
God dangit when I extrude my vertices they disappear behind the reference picture! So annoying, I don't know how to fix it. Other than just turning off the reference but then I can't see what I'm doing lol
Shit.. I figured out what it was. I was moving the view around with the trackpad on my Macbook and it was like tilting the whole thing slightly.. so when I went to extrude it into a 3rd object, I noticed the vertices were dipping down and over the plane and I created a weird, messed up, flat object and didn't realize it. This shit is hard bruh

If it looks fine when you render it, then the issue is probably with the sharing. Depending on where you’re sharing it, the file probably gets compressed.
Whenever I add the emission to the cilinder, the scene quickly becomes too bright and it's just white with the logo in the center, when it's off obviously you see nothing of the background. Any tips on how to fix this?
@@salfolio I did, I'll redo it, and see what I did wrong. But basically it looks nice in the "shaded" viewport, but when rendered the background is dark when emission is at 0. and when emission is at 1.00 or higher, everything just gets washy and white.
as a protip if you export / find an image with the vector format .SVG you can import it into blender , and no need to manually build it

followed everything you did, how come mine doesn't have colors? like literally nothing changed. Is there something that I missed to toggle on?
are you in render mode? or material preview mode? cause otherwise you won't see the materials being applied

Did you play around with the strength value for the emission node?
