This recipe is the closest that mirrors my late grandmother's and I got so excited watching it. We made them every Easter so I'll be trying this this year. Thank you so much!
I JUST found your channel!! Thank you so much AND you speak Polish as well! I am of Polish descent. My mother was 100%. I want to learn to speak it and learn how to cook/bake Polish dishes. I will be following along from here on in. Again, Thank you. :)
Hi Lois! Thanks for checking out my channel! Now is a great time to start learning the language and cooking the dishes 😀 If you want to start off easy, try making my szybkie gołąbki(quick stuffed cabbage)... tasty with a fraction of the work. Smacznego (Enjoy!)
Rafael thank you for this recipe and the step-by-step directions on how to make it. I made paçzki (and celebrated Fat Thursday) for the first time, and they were a big hit. Appreciate you sharing.
GOOD FRIEND.....your suggestion about dropping a piece of dough in a glass of water.........GREAT IDEA!!!! MY SAINTED GRANMOTHER ALWAYS MADE THESE FOR SPECIAL HOLIDAY OCCASSIONS. GRANDMA USED home made raspberry filling, lemon, or vanilla . delicious !!!!!!!!!!!than you..........Dr.Bob;-)
Thank you for checking out my video. I assume that you would be able to bake them but it is not something I have tried before. Needless to say, they would not be the same 😞
Woah, these look fantastic! 😍 I’ve never actually had paczki, I’ll have to give this recipe a try! That dough is beautiful, sooo sticky though! Love that fried color!! Awesome job on these! Cheers from a fellow foodie/creator! 🤗
Thank you, Maikoh! You should give them a try. You're right, this dough is super sticky. To make it easier on you, you can wet hands to avoid the dough sticking to your hands.
Looks so good! We are obviously on the same wavelength, my recipe just went live 😂 I love yours though, I have never tried the proofing the dough 3 times, do you find that that makes a big difference? I went with the rose jam too, its a classic 😋
I have never experimented but I have been taught that proofing multiple times leaves the final product fluffier and chewier. I would think that it follows the pizza dough rule: more time = more complex flavor.
Hi Maggie! If you have any Polish stores near by, you should be able to find it there. If you cannot find it, other jams work well too. I also like strawberry and raspberry
Maggie you can make your own so easily! I keep rose syrup and rose petal jelly in my fridge always. Just google or search youtube. Once you make it you'll be hooked! I also love 🌹 rose-raspberry, rose-raspberry-pomegranate syrups & jellies 💞

These look amazing! I’ve never had Pazcki sadly, but I’m Polish and I really want to make them! I’m definitely going to try your recipe 😍
You must try paczki! Store paczki are good but nothing beats a warm paczki that you make at home! Enjoy 😋

All those flavors sound amazing! 😋
Loved them as a kid from a bakery raspberry
Love it😊
I hope you enjoy them!
These look awesome thank you. Would it be possible to bake this recipe instead of frying.
Hi! Look at Jennycancook - she has a recipe for baked pączki here on youtube. She's Polish too. (From the old Jenny Jones show...)

Thank you Rafal, I too grew up with all the great polish food. Polish American here. Where are you located??
Born and raised in Connecticut
I LOVE powdered paczki!!! ❤️

@@RafalLovesFood no jak teściowa pochwaliła to musza być super😉
Aqui onde moro,em Erechim, Brasil, havia uma família polonesa legítima, que faziam esses Pazcki. Nós chamavámos de "sonhos". Eram uma delícia.
Estou tão feliz em ouvir isso. Obrigado!
Great job, how many will this recipe make?
Thank you for checking out my video. Depending on how big you make them, around 3 dozen
Delicious
… and helps the PAUNCHKEES , not POONCHKEES, be fluffier….
I feel attacked XD
Judgment-free zone. Whatever you call them, they are still delicious 😋

ahhh this is cute :)
There’s no where in my state that sells paczki so I REALLY need to learn to make them lol
They're all over in Wisconsin. 😊
Fat Thursday is coming up. This may be a good time to make them :)
Rafal, what kind of oil do you use for the oil bath?
I use lard but you can also use canola, vegetable or any neutral high-heat oil
I never heard of them until I got a box in Wisconsin at a Piggly Wiggly.
Fat Thursday is coming up. You have to try paczki from a Polish bakery
Does this recipe work with a fewer amount of eggs?
I agree that this recipe calls for a lot of eggs! I have seen recipes that use less eggs.
Pączki is already plural. One pączek, many pączki
Yes, you are correct!
Where do u get the rosehip jam??

I'm making prune and applebutter and raspberry. By request.
Prune is also a classic and one of my favorites. Let me know how they turn out!
@@RafalLovesFood they're are gone

Yummy...

Dunkin Paczki...hmmm...paczki kreme...PUCKIN PACZKIS.
Are you saying you want in?

@@drmiteshtrivedi Apparently donuts gained popularity during WWI. Who knew?!
