    Underrated song from Megadeth , it's like Poison Was the Cure and 502 had a child

    I'm studying the right hand technique. No sounds spikes, very even/consistent Sonically. I hate to draw comparisons but this is tighter than other professional bassists I've seen play Megadeth tracks.

    • @thomasbuysse3159
      @thomasbuysse3159 11 дней назад

      Couldn't it be possible that potential sound spikes just got compressed?
      If it isn't, then he played this verrry thight as you said.

      @@thomasbuysse3159 Yes! Also playing with a lighter touch is what I've been spending the last year really working on. Giving a better tonality and leaving more dynamics for notes I want to emphasize. A good basline is Wherever I May Roam. It's not overly complex at all but to sound good it really takes precise dynamic control.

      @@danadane2501 Lately I've been focussing a lot on my left hand, also I almost never play with a pick.
      Maybe I should spend some more time practising right hand consistency.
      Do you have any other recommendations next to "Wherever I May Roam"?

      @@thomasbuysse3159 Okay, if you're a finger player and you're working on your left hand technique. I would recommend something like interstate love song by STP. Aldo Wrathchild is great song to find coordination between both hands by Iron Maiden. Those are good ones to work with right now. Also Jeremy by Pearl Jam is a good one because it's demanding of both hands and really force you to do something that isn't too straightforward time signature but isn't for only super advanced players. 3 totally different styles that will give you will make learning other songs all the more easier. I recommend all these songs because I learned them. Won't tell you to learn something I haven't done. One more example is The Mountain Song by Jane's Addiction. It's a great song just to find your groove and you can do with a pick or finger style. You'll notice how these totally different styles demand similar techniques.

      @@thomasbuysse3159 I'm more than happy to answer any question you or any other serious player may have. How Long have you been playing? There's no such thing as a wrong answer or is there a bassist that sucks. There's bassists who wanna progress and that's it.

    The Best Cover! Andriy Greetings from Odesa!

  • @Nestorglass
    @Nestorglass 17 дней назад +2

    The best Megadeth song from their mid era honestly, well done with that. By the way, is it really just mostly F#'s on bass on that pre-chorus?? on guitar they basically go F# - A - F# - G - A - G - A *palm mutes* but I wouldn't be surprised if Ellefson kept it on the root note to make it more solid, he's one of the best at making bass lines differ from guitar in a simple context. Awesome cover!

      Ви щодо мастейна? За ці два роки так і залишився ні туди, ні сюди, а на даному етапі цього вже недостатньо, що палити його. Лімп бізкіт, сабатон, система - їх точно ви не побачите тут. Хоча Серж вже почав наче правильні речі казати.
