    The kitchen over the door for scrub brushes doesn't have a drip catch tray, over time the water drops damage the wood on the door and the under cupboard.

    I found keeping my water bottle lids on my water bottles so I don't have to dig thru a full container to try to locate the correct one. Just a thought 🫠

      Right, I don't know why that lady had to tell people to first remove all the bowls before putting shelf liner in her bowl drawer. I kinda felt like she thinks everyone has the iq of a 3 year old

      Anything with a lid, I never store it with the lid on. Prefer to let them breathe.

    I didn't like when she hung the swiffer dusters inside the cabinet with food items. I cannot put cleaning products and supplies in the same cabinet as my food items. But I like the idea for a different cabinet. Maybe next to the brushes in the other cabinet.

      The wall cabinet with the Swiffer hung inside the door had canned goods on the bottom shelf and food in envelopes on higher shelves.
      Why not hang them on doors under the sink with the cleaning products?

    While I love these ideas, many of us don't have these large cabinets with pull out drawers. I'd love to have them, but our kitchen is small with the "traditional" style cabinets. I'd like to see examples of how to work with those type of kitchen cabinets,

      I have been buying heavy duty draw runners and making a pull out base in my cabinets it’s cheaper than ripping out my kitchen and buying new units that are draws. I bought mine from the hardware store in the kitchen department. They also have pre-built metal draws that can be inserted into the cabinets just check to see if they have any that fit the cupboards that you have, yes they do take up a bit of space but I found that I can get my items from the back of the cupboard now, so worth losing a little space to gain a stacking draw space.
      I used 6mm plywood and added a strip of wood under the board for added strength at the front, centre and back to stop it from bowing I found 10mm plywood just too heavy to pull out and to push back into the cupboard.
      I found it was cheaper to buy the draw runners and the required plywood to make the base than it was to replacing all of my cupboards. I found that the hardware store carried different depths for the draws and they have different weight baring draw runners which helped a lot. I like the fact they pull right out of the cupboard fully as well.
      Check out the inserts that you can buy for a new built kitchen cupboards but only buy the inserts as they are sold separately and just use them on your existing kitchen.

      I added pull-out shelving to my cabinets. The frame screws into the shelf and the basket is on rollers. Bought them at Lowe’s. The back screws are hard to reach, but I got ‘er done. Did 6 of them.

    You can get some low boxes at Aldi’s for organizing your cupboard shelves if you don’t want to spend the extra money for now. The empty boxes from 2 lb. cheese boxes work in drawers for organizing a junk drawer. 😊

    usually I like your videos but this one was a swing and a miss. The pantry organizer ended up using more space for everything that was in her pantry and left a lot of space within her pantry that could have been utilized. The woman who did the draw liners and canisters was talking down to us in my opinion. Plus, I use canisters for items like oatmeal and rather than writing on the canister itself what ratio's are to be used, just cut out those instructions from the bag or box and put it inside the canister with the product. If that isn't practical, then carefully tape it to the outside of the canister. Easier, and you don't have to worry about smearing or erasing the instructions when handling the canister.

    • @magaperson3402
      @magaperson3402 2 месяца назад +14

      Agree. I cut out the directions and tuck it inside the container.

    • @dawsie
      @dawsie 2 месяца назад +7

      I have been cutting the instructions and taping to inside of the canister as I found it stayed put longer😹😹 for years. I like square containers as they stack better and you are not losing space like you do with round containers.
      You’re right I use boxes in my pantry but I do not have all that space left in between the boxes. I bought different sizes to utilise all of the space but I store items that are used together in the same box don’t like the lazy susie as it wastes space, but I did use one on my bench top for my most common items used in my everyday cooking, I made it a two tiered one so that it’s smaller and takes up less space.

    Save an old dishwasher rack. Perfect to keep dishes in your pantry. If you don't have a pantry, cut the tray in half and fit in your pan tops or dishes in your larger cabinet where you kept all your pot tops, etc perfect.

      I'm renting and the dishwasher doesn't work so I store pots and pans in there . By the the only cabinets are under the sink. I'm having to get very creative. I never watched these shows until I moved in here a couple months ago. I need ideas for storing without cabinets. None in the bathroom either. I started out using cardboard displays from the dollar store. For free they work great.😊

    You can put your garbage bag in a cute cylindrical container that will fit the whole roll. PULL THE CENTER BAG, the next one will come up, this will allow you to pull your bags from the middle rather than unrolling them. Think of it like pulling tissues out of a box.

    (1) Most people don’t have cupboard doors on drawer units (2) Hanging pot brushes and cloths inside cupboard door is disgusting. They will drip and make door wet and smelly even (3) A pantry? Not many have one but also that storage takes up too much room. Those baking pans can be stacked easily in a cupboard or drawer. (4) Drawer dividers with categorised tools good. (5) Dry goods in lid labelled containers in drawer I like … but I don’t have spare drawers. (6) My water bottles have lids stored on them and who has that many?!
