    So I just saw an ad for this and am interested but have a question. So if I already own a bench am I able to use that or no?

    I bought my first one a month ago, its a very good workout equipment, just kinda sad that the resistance is not heavy when you go down compare to when you go up.

      I like the going down weight too, so I attached a resistance band just to feel it a more on the way down. There could be multiple ways to do this, but in my case I used BodyBoss 2.0 board which has some loops at ground level I attached the resistance band there and the other end on maxpro bar
      So the layers look something like this.
      Maxpro
      --------
      Bodyboss board
      -------
      Floor

      You mean eccentric resistance? That is what builds the most muscle unfortunately if you want something with that it will be thousands of dollars.

    Are the resistance levels only in numerical order? Or do you know what lb each level represents?

    what if i have a benchpad that is more wider than the maxpro bench?

      We do not recommend it since our bench designs are uniquely engineered to hold the MAXPRO down into place for stability allowing you to take your MAXPRO experience to the next level.

      Hello John, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately We no longer recommend any bench other than the MAXPRO bench. We had someone's MAXPRO break using a bench that was not ours. The flat leg of the bench creates instability and puts pressure on the hinge eventually leading to the hinge breaking. Our bench was built specifically with the hinge and platform length in mind.

    Prob with this is that you can only bench with your shoulder too exposed. Elbows are needed to be tucked in. An incline or fid bench would have mitgated that. I use the ironmaster super bench and it fits it perfectly. Love my max pro!

    On the heaviest resistance about what would be the equivalent in free weights on bench press?

    I am still a little confused on how to use the suspension trainer handles. I've been seeing videos where the MaxPro is faced downward, but mine will only face straight on because mine is attached to a wall, not a door. How do I get it to angle downward?

    If you create a bar attachment, bench press exercises can be more efficient.

    does the bench incline or decline?

      The bench is only a flat bench with folding legs for space savings. But, because you are pulling on multi-directional cords, and you aren’t lifting linearly like with a bar.. you can change the direction of the pull angle for upper, mid, and bottom chest workouts, all while laying flat in the bench, or sitting up. I hope that makes sense? Overall, the bench really expands the workouts you can do with MAXPRO.
