Season 4 Episode 12 "Don't Ever Change"
House and the team encounters a woman (Laura Silverman) admitted to Princeton-Plainsboro after she collapses at her wedding. Her test results come up negative for a variety of common diseases, which leads the team to suspect foul play, but when they discover the woman is a former music producer living in the fast lane until she began to practice Hasidic Judaism, House insists people do not change, and her seemingly rash decision may be a symptom of the underlying condition.

"I need you to sleep with Wilson"
"Good morning"
Damn, Cuddy is absolutely perfect.
@JustinBieber Not really. I was commenting on the dynamic between House and Cuddy. She's so familiar with House's provocative comments that she's no longer fazed by them. Plus, it's a pretty badass response.
Anish Poddar yes every morning when I say “good morning” I’m a badass, like what do you mean
She's the worst character in tv history
@@Lubble- Care to explain?

Does he have a genuine realisation or was he trying to disgust Wilson ? I'm still wondering.
@@Morbacounet yes
I still remember that scene to this day. It's hilarious. 😂
Will always love that scene
2:54 “Give him back his sweatshirt” all in all I find so charming that protective side of House with Wilson. I remember in season 6 when Wilson started dating his ex-wife Sam again and House tells her: “I watched him struggle for years to overcome the damage you did. And there's no way I'm going to just let you reel him back in so you can do it all over again.”
Also: just because someone doesnt have ulterior motives, doesnt mean they deserve them
“She’s a needy VERSION of me”
“Hard to imagine such a mythical creature”
I think Wilson cracks me up more than House does some times
Sparky Nicole My God, this is so true.
Oh yeah, his comebacks were perfect.
Because Wilson is the guy that completes house's jokes with the punchline.
Lol, the wishful thinking on House's part. As Cuddy put it, House is the long-distance runner of neediness, he just can't admit it.
The straight man is the funniest part of a comedic duo. At least to me.
"You're the long-distance runner of neediness."
_Damn_
Long distance runner...debilitating pain in leg. That's just mean.

MrMikado282 LOL, I didn’t even catch that till you said it. Ouchhh 🔥
That was a little bit harsh though
@@duruuzun1355 Nice shot Cuddy. Give House a taste of his own medicine!
Amber was one of the few people in the series who knew exactly how to leave House completely stumped. When he breaks into her house and runs down his list of theories of why she’s dating Wilson, she doesn’t try to be combative or prove her point, she just plays along with every single one of his predictions, forcing him to realize it’s ridiculous. This leaves him no choice but to inevitably come to the conclusion that Amber and Wilson just legitimately like each other and have good chemistry. She’s definitely one smart girl
...normalizing breaking and entering. So messed up!
@@lulahbelle970 House's doing so doesn't' normalise it. He's an entitled jerk, among other things.
@@yelenaangeleski3354 House would attest to this statement himself.
The older I get, the more I appreciate Amber as a character. She was fantastically written, I knew she had to go when she did but boy do I wish we got more of her.
Because she is femhouse.
"...She's not dying is she?"
...Wow... in hindsight, the foreshadowing was fantastic in this series.
cbozlol well she was never dying per se, she just died instantly
Usually entire seasons/plotpoints are written in one go.
Their finer details are filled in as the season goes along but the general idea of events is usually written up before the season begins.
@@thefallencog It doesn't have to be foreshadowing. He was referring to his past. House's remark is entirely relevant within its context.
Javor Georgiev but it can be. Just because it works within the context of his past doesn’t necessarily mean that it doesn’t work as foreshadowing too. The statement could have a double meanings.

That little smile House and Amber share right at the end: that's perfect storytelling.
That was House's hope that he can change for good too.
Why did they smile at each other? I still need to watch the series...
6980MulhollandDrive: she was the only character that ever came close to being on houses level and holding their own against him. That's why she turned him on. Lol 😜
Sal Adeboye: they are both very similar and almost know what the other is thinking. Both cunning, manipulative, snarky and formidable
That's thr most smile you'll ever get out if house. Ever.
"We should date. We're basically a couple."
"Are we still speaking metaphorically?"

C'est la vie 😅
She has a really murdery vibe. Had she stabbed Wilson, I'd have not been surprised.
Yep. She (the actress) played the part well.
Maybe she injected Wilson with cancer. Motto fits. She is the female House after all.
"Ow you DRUGGED me!?"

"oh good...."
I just gave you Cancer, now ill brb i need to take the train. But its ok, i'll cure it later.
Were you surprised she didn't?
@@DocRunaway but Wilson did (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I don't think she'd stab Wilson. But she might cold heartedly dispose of someone who threatened him.
9:06 you have no idea how powerful and touching this scene is for me. House really believes that people don't change and finally seeing Amber changing for a better and more satisfying life gave him hope In a way and shocked him. This scene gives me chills and tears.
Same with me. Just that one little smile from House took me down...
House said "people don't change because they wish they could", not that people don't change. He knows relationships change people that's why he works hard to cultivate them all through the show.
Is it that? I saw it differently. I saw House think he HAD to change to have somebody love him, but after seeing so many other people claim to have changed themselves only to reveal it to be a thinly veiled lie he doesn't believe it's possible. Not for them and it would be hubris to think he was different.
But then here's Amber, the female version of him, in a relationship with Wilson. Two people damaged in different supposedly unlovable ways, getting along.
It suggests he may not be as doomed as he thought.
He just needs to find a female Wilson
Well said bro!!
Hot take: I don't think she changed, I just think she felt safer with Wilson and tried to let go of being in power and on top of everything all the time, but deep down she was the same person, had she not died, their relationship wouldn't have ended well anyways
"She's the anti-wilson.. the force of evil.." - Greg House 😂😂

I know Wilson is the dream, even with House.
"I need you to sleep with Wilson."
"Good morning to you too."
Yes, that's how I greet people in the morning. I loved the dynamic House and Cuddy had and I wish they had stayed away from an actual relationship. Oh well.
Actually that sexual tension and anticipation made it more real and relatable and house isn't loving kind of guy so trying to fit fangirls demand was the worst possible thing they did but I guess its good that it happened as that made the show end in next two seasons or else we would have had the lengthy cash cow that was just hated by everyone by the end ...
Me too. Their interactions were way more fun before.
Yeah, I wish they’d done another dream sequence, even with rehab being an illusion, like Dallas lol. “None of that season actually happened, carry on...”
I think it would have been boring if their relationship never changed.

I love how Cuddy called House needy.
Amber is the character house respects the most across the entire show. After her death, she appears in scenes acting as the embodiment of houses subconscious, his brain, the thing he values more than anything else. To have her be that embodiment is telling of his opinion of amber
And kutner as well.
I just realized...Wilson is dating Amber because she's House.
House clarifies that she's a NEEDY House, which is what Wilson wants, someone to need him.
Isn't that what he said to Cameron on their date?
So basically Cameron could have been HIS Wilson equivalent.
I always thought Wilson and Cameron were very similar people! and from all of House's lackeys Cameron and Wilson were the ones who got along the best too (prolly because they had a lot in common) also on a sidenote: there really isn't a "needy" version of House, since House himself is already VERY needy, which is prolly why even tho House is very mean or does terrible things to Wilson sometimes, he keeps coming back
@@sprachen7122 the original three got links to the older 3 wilson-cameron, house-chase, cuddy-foreman.

0:21 sounds like really subtle foreshadowing for Wilson’s Heart…
In an alternate universe House and Wilson would have been a perfect (romantic) couple and Wilson and Amber's relationship proves that
Bold of you to assume said perfect relationship only exists in an alternate universe :)
Well the fact they are guys goes against it. But I think Amber and House actually could have worked. Amber shows here she can change and is complex and House is quite a romantic deep in his heart. But he isn’t very attentive to others feelings like with his relationship with Cuddy, but Amber would not have needed that form a partner really, as long as she knew she was valued and respected she would not have needed him to be there with stereotypical relationship moments.
@@sarasamaletdin4574 i agree with you on Amber x House being an interesting ship but, first of all, but off topic. Secondly, I don't get get the "both guys" comment. I mean, OP already said "in an alternative universe" ight.
@@sarasamaletdin4574 I disagree Amber and House would have been a wreck because they are too similar and they'd fight all the time to see who's in control and they'd NEVER allow themselves to be vulnerable with each other (which is very important for a relationship) they couldn't even work together for that very reason, remember the reason House fired Amber was because she pulled a lot of "house typical moves" on a case

considering that her death was a stunt caused by the writers' strike that year, they turned what could have been a complete failure around.
