most, if not all, walmarts have fishing lure keychains for $2-3. if you look at the keychains and then look at the ozark trail lures, you'll notice that they are the same thing except that the ozark trail lures cost $4+. if you get the keychains and add hooks, they work the same and catch fish.
Yup I agree the Shakespeare ugly stick GX 2 spinning rod and the Shakespeare ugly stick GX 2 bait caster reel are the best I Cached a stingray on my ugly stick GX 2 spinning rod

As an Alaskan I put about 150-200 lbs of salmon away for winter and the vac sealers bags leak over time and you end up with 70# of freezer burned salmon. If you put up a lot of fish that needs to last months and months spend the money on a commercial sealer... Thanks for sharing your great tips. You're right...you can't beat them for price. I prefer to pay a little more sometimes to support my local bait shop. We've lost a few in our area over the years...probably due, in part, to Wal-Mart's lower prices.
None of the many WMs that I have been in carry aquarium supplies such as the bubble stone. The selection definitely varies by store and area of the country.
I was in pigeon forge the week before, bought my TN fishing license and some tackle at that Walmart, wish I knew there was a fishing show, I would have stayed longer.

Love it. When I went to the US I had it on my itinerary to visit a Walmart lol. You guys talk about Walmart so much I couldn't go to the US and not visit one, it was awesome lol
Yeah, we talk about Walmart because in most rural areas they’ve become all we’ve got anymore. And it is now the largest employer in the US. Even when I lived in a larger town, I would try to go out of my way to stay out of Walmart, but the place I’d go didn’t have everything I needed on the shelf and we would wind up having to go to Walmart anyway. It’s even worse in small towns.
@@tannertuner true - that’s the sad thing about big chains. They kill the little guy. Same thing happened over here with hardware stores. A big chain opened up everywhere and put the local guys out of business. And when supermarkets started having a meat section in the 80’s it was the death of small butcher shops. Supermarkets were only allowed to open till 5 or 6pm here once. That way you had to utilise your corner grocery store after work. The big supermarkets wanted to stay open till 9pm and they were told if you do you’ll have to do every weekend and public holiday too because the little mum and dad stores will lose all their evening business and close. But that’s all been forgotten now. They close on public holidays and you can’t buy groceries anywhere. Once the competition is gone they can do what they want.
@@Beyondthebackyard-au Walmart is like a predator. If a town they move into has a good sewing/craft store, they send scouts in and scout out the situation then they blow up the size if their craft section until they drive the small store out of business. Then they might cut out their craft section all together to make room to focus on a sporting goods or electronics store or office supply, until no competition is left. And then they quit stocking that section in the store. But nobody has the money to invest in even trying to compete. It costs too much for overhead to make enough money to live on. Walmart added groceries in the late 80s and 90s in order to capitalize on the $80 billion food stamps budget, and they keep as many of their employees qualified for food stamps as possible, by design, so that essentially the taxpayer is paying for the employees to work at Walmart. I still have ugly sticks rods I bought over 20 plus years ago that still brings in huge fish. Can not go wrong buying stuff from a Walmart, best prices out there an I like to see what I buy. Unlike buying from Amazon, an in past two months almost everything I bought from them was so tiny. They have good cameras taking the pictures of stuff they selling. Close ups to make us think it's bigger but it's not when we take it out of the box. Love these videos buddy
I have one of the cheap Zebco 404 combos from the early 90s I bought at Walmart when I was invited to go fishing and didn’t have my other gear with me. Yes, even the cheap rod that came with it - still catching fish like the day it was new. Granted, I don’t go fishing all the time. But that cheap rod and reel is still one of my all time favorites to fish with, including my Shimano spinner reel from the 80s (also likely a Walmart or KMart purchase). I just took the 404 apart and cleaned and lubed it and it works as smooth as room temperature butter.
Ammo box! That's the first thing I bought from Walmart after seeing your DIY video of ammo box hacks. Thank you for sharing! P.S. Walmart should pay you for this free advertising.
One thing with those cheap vacuum bags and sealers. Sometimes to keep a good seal, move the bag out about 1/8"-1/4" and reseal it. After a while the clamp pressure gets meh and a vac/seal cycle leaves wrinkles that slow leak😊 had one for 5 years now. Good video, thank you!
Love your videos, they are very helpful but you have one heck of a mind on you. With your attitude you would be fun to fish with. Great videos keep them coming.
I definitely agree with you that Pflueger makes some of the nicest spinning reels for the money. Last year I purchased some Pflueger President Lady's Edition reels that I guessing were going to be discontinued. They were the rose pink color reels that are identical to their blue reels, but were at least 30% cheaper. The color difference won't give you any advantages, lol. Walmart makes fishing affordable and that's why I like shopping there. Thanks for the research on items that you don't necessarily have to be purchased in the camping or fishing department. Stay funny and don't change anything on your videos. Your drawl make you impressionable!
Ding dang i can't believe I been thrownin.. out bait cause I'd triple ziploc it in the freezer and my sensitive nose say oh no you gotta get out that bottom rack in my freezer. I'm saving up for a vacuum sealer..thanks so much for the idea 💡 I've also caught some great Penn reels on sale at Walmart before...I always got my eyes open for gear on sale🎣🎣🎣great video🏆🥇🏅I love me some ugly stixs💝
If you need to catch some small bait. Buy some straws and pinch the ends with needle nose pliers and weld them shut with a cigarette lighter. It makes a nifty float. You can even put a small split shot on one end or both ends. I like to use the tiny copper wire thats in a burned out evaporative cooler pump for making the eye-loops. You may have to twist it into a two strand wire. Then some black tape to get rid of the sharp prongs that will snag your line. Custom make them by floating them in a tuppaware bowl or something. I like to float mine straight up so as to not to scare the small fish with the movement when they bite.
The 1st time I watched this guy's video I wasn't too sure but after watching video after video this is perhaps the best channel on RUclips hands down

But that cheap rod and reel is still one of my all time favorites to fish with, including my Shimano spinner reel from the 80s (also likely a Walmart or KMart purchase). I just took the 404 apart and cleaned and lubed it and it works as smooth as room temperature butter.
Thank You. Some very good tips on fishing items to purchase from Walmart.
Ammo box! That's the first thing I bought from Walmart after seeing your DIY video of ammo box hacks. Thank you for sharing! P.S. Walmart should pay you for this free advertising.
Lol I agree but that ain't gonna happen lol
This guy is great ! Some things I never thought of before . Just don’t go and buy “Hops n Stuff” at the liquor dept.
I'm still using it 3 years later , it does decent I guess , I never had a good one to compare it too lol
Nice work mate. Great presentation, content and humour. Very entertaining .
All the best, from Australia.😂
Recently stumbled across your channel. So many good ideas and entertaining also. Always cracks me up, especially the talking spinner bait!
Lol thank you Sir
Found hand and foot warmers on the clearance isle earlier this year at Wally world, half price, so I bought a box of each
Love your videos, they are very helpful but you have one heck of a mind on you. With your attitude you would be fun to fish with. Great videos keep them coming.
Thank you very much I really do appreciate that .
I love watching your videos. They crack me up.
Lol thank you Sir
I found some lady Presidents for 17 dollars a piece on clearance and I'm not to good to use a rose pink reel lol
I love love love your channel, your jokes are accurate and your videos are too
Ding dang i can't believe I been thrownin.. out bait cause I'd triple ziploc it in the freezer and my sensitive nose say oh no you gotta get out that bottom rack in my freezer. I'm saving up for a vacuum sealer..thanks so much for the idea 💡 I've also caught some great Penn reels on sale at Walmart before...I always got my eyes open for gear on sale🎣🎣🎣great video🏆🥇🏅I love me some ugly stixs💝
When using that vacuum sealer after it seals the first time run it again it will vacuum it down more and reseal
Love this guy, makes me want to go fishing, after I just got in from fishing.
I got my paracord from the hardware section, same with my carabiner. That's what I use for my anchor on my kayak.
Mountain Walmart's do carry different stuff for anyone wondering. They are great for fishing and camping gear at good prices!
