- "Still the One" is a song written by Johanna Hall and John Hall, and recorded by the soft rock group Orleans on their album Waking and Dreaming, released in 1976, which made it to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Filmed March 2018 at The Stadium Theater in Woonsocket R.I.
This was "Our" song. 48 years and we're still together. She is so lucky..... hehe
The dual harmony guitar break in this song is completely, totally and utterly one of the most melodic, cleanest, coolest ever recorded. It makes complete musical sense. It never falls to satisfy my ears...Face it, lyrics, melody, chord progression, harmony, arrangement: it's got it all baby...
...and have you ever tried playing a left-handed Strat srung upside down?? Jeeeeze!
Absolutely❤
@@jimincairnsI play left-handed bass guitar I have a 1956 Fender bass guitar
It's amazing that at his age he can still sing that high register. Impressive!
Sadly it’s not Larry Hoppin who passed away. But this guy NAILED IT ! Kudos to Orleans …
Beautiful! Just beautiful! 🙌🏽💯
Respect for the lead vocal. Tough song to do live.
That’s Larry’s brother lance paying tribute to his brother in my opinion he sounds just as good great music never dies
My favoite song by this group, it is mine and my husband's song. He passed away a 4 months ago. The group is amazing.

Who doesn’t get a glimmer in their eye when they listen to this song???!!! If you’ve been with somebody for a long time and you love them, this song is perfect!!!
After Larry's passing John, Lance and Fly still get it done LOVE ORLEANS
Ruger Rocker....love the handle! You’re describing me: Ruger in one hand; Les Paul in the other! 😂
One of the best songs ever written and recorded. Definitely in the top 100 of all time. Surprised the car companies haven't incorporated it into a commercial. A mustang commercial would be cool.
Yeah, it is surprising it hasn't been used for commercials, good point.
AMAZING!!! LOVE THIS SONG. Orleans is amazing!!
Love it!! Fly, a lefty, is playing a right-handed guitar upside down!!!!

Sam's the reigning GOAD (Greatest Of All Dudes)!
I never get tired of this song. Great version!
It sounds just as good live if not better.
Awesome!. Love that duel guitar lead too.
One of my all time favorite songs! The '70's rock!
pretty freaking awesome! ✌
This is a great+relaxing 😎 comfortable song to listen 👂 to +reminds me of close friendships l've had w certain friends!
Back in the day when this song was brand new, it was my friend Gary Buechs' favorite song as it inspired him. One time he played it on a jukebox and " ran " the balls on a pool table. The other player never had a chance to shoot. R.I.P. Gary. This song will always remind me of you.
Orleans is still a great band after all these years! I LOVE this song, and love all the singers' voices. And, the bass singer adds a special flavor!

I like this great singer good guitar player 👍
Classic!!!
Would love to be a roadie for these guys, can you imagine how many older ladies would show up at they're show's? Hahaha.😂
Very good sound...
Brilliant Band we use this as our opening song in our set
Orleans forever !! 👍
Magnificent
I love the lyrics; rather rare for a full sone to have no repreating [refrain]. The only lyric that is reoeated is "You're stilll the one." Not repeating chorus. Love it!
WOW ! The singer had all of Larry’s phrasing down , remarkable! John Hall still the best baritone out there, and the SOLO ! It makes the Eagles Hotel California dueling guitars sound trite … Red Creek in Rochester, and Jeff Springut’s house all those years ago …
Crear, they sound just like the old data. Love it
Great, they sound just like the old days.
Love it, my days at high school
AWESOME.....thanks for recording this amazing band. I didn’t know that this band was still going. A mixture of Little Feat and the Eagles and the twin guitars of wishbone Ash. Did you record anymore of this great band? Thanks a million
cool!
Just thinking about being a young kid skating to this song at the Pulaski Roller Rink in Pulaski New York. I couldn't dance to good, but I was really fast!
The way it should sound
Lead vocalist plays a left handed Strat, strung backward. Don’t see that everyday...
I have been in bands since the '70's, toured across America and attended many concerts. I have NEVER seen it until now! Amazing. I am a lefty myself but I learned to play right-handed.
I believe Dan Seals did the same thing.
Doyle Bramhall ll also... He played for Pink Floyd after Gilmore.
Paul McCartney...plays left hand....
Do you really love me
great\
Yessss
I got to jam with John Hall in Key West with Sweet Daddy. He played my guitar which is right handed, but plays lefty upside down! Incredible! Sorry we interrupted your dinner John! It's great to hear these songs again!
cool gonna try to get john in studio
Don Odell Great!
John plays right handed …
Aint there a live viedo where the lead singer is wearing a blue shirt
I love that John Hall was a member of the House of Representatives pursuing a truly Progressive agenda. Thank you John.
And lost to a conservative Republican in 2010/11.
No one can sing it like Larry could.
F***N ACE
In North America great music was turned out for people until 1987 when the government shut down the last un government controlled radio satiation . I think it was Ktla in Long Island. Ever since the 90s the pop music has been putrid !
Wow love those harmonies. Your “ Still the one”
Is he the original singer ?
Is this Larry singing?
Reflexiones tempranas sobre POLET
POLET
God this sucks this is not orleans
Who is it then numbskull ?
