Most homes of that size, seems stark, clinical like a hotel or doctors office. Whoever designed that, from the decorating to the architecture, is a mad scientist. It’s wild something that gigantic, can be cozy and beautiful. What a masterpiece.

As an architect with a passion for cabin-inspired homes located in the wildreness setting of the American West, this is perhaps the most magnificent, well planned and exquisitely crafted home I have ever seen. Kudos to the architect. If it were even remotely possible, my husband and I with our two ski-crazy sons would move in tomorrow!
They even made the home theatre fit this homely oversized woody style. And the library sharply more refined than the living space. And these corridors (5:13) actually achieving to look like a walk in the woods. Somebody really cared.
Now THIS is a home! It's huge yet feels so cozy.

I finished building my own log home just 3 weeks ago took about 2 and a half years to build i had my dad and my brothers help me really looking forward to christmas in it plus it snows everyday so it makes the views much better

This is incredible, love the house and would want to live here! I see so many new style mansions being built up in LA, NY, and NV but the problem is the dwell style mansions look too much like shopping centers, coffee shops, or corporate business offices and I want my home to look like a home! This log cabin mansion looks like an ideal home!
This is one of the few mansions where I can see the appeal. It feels like a home, just very large with fancier materials than most.

Nice tour! My favorite parts of the home are the fireplaces, the bathrooms and that epic movie theater. And the location..Aspen is such a beautiful town.

I love the idea of the geode vanity with glass cover...I work for a glass fabrication company in Denver and am fascinated with the unique ideas people come up with in home design/decor when money really isn't a concern. I like log cabins but don't love the idea of a home this huge with a log cabin design but it is beautiful...besides I could never afford it haha.

Home is magnificent. Everything about it. From the materials chosen/furnishings/use of light. The home flows really well. It feels open but at the same time, cozy, with spaces dedicated to specific activities.

Don't most people call their half bath bathroom in the main area a powder room? That term was pretty common I thought. Basically any bathroom that's just a water closet/toilet and sink.
@@jimzecca3961 It's very much a regional/class thing as far as I'm aware. It's fairly common in the south regardless of class in my experience, as well as in upper class homes such as this one, so also common in areas with extreme wealth where there are a lot of mansions. Elsewhere, not so much.
