I live in eagle colorado, ski vail often, it looks better in the summer. The stone work and the infinity pool look worse with snow.

id hate to live there in the winter, once you live in mountainous snowy areas your entire life eventually it becomes nothing but wet and ugly in your mind, atleast for me anyway
This house is north of i-70 (across the interstate from vail village). Since it is on the south facing slope it will get a lot of sun exposure. This will make it very hot out in the summer and little snow in the winter as the strong sun will melt most of it.

@@Sarvagya4 nah I don’t know who they are. I heard it a long time ago and it was attributed to Benjamin Franklin at the time but I’m not sure he was the one who actually said it. Either way, hearing it so long ago, it’s stuck with me since and will probably stick with me for the rest of my life.
First time seeing Erik and I am impressed. That video flowed so well with his presentation that I wasn't sure what I liked more, the house or the way he presented it. He gave detailed information without wasting his words on adjectives which most agents and especially you-tubers heap on. Well done...

I think Erik is the best mansion showing youtuber. He is so detailist. He describes everything it is like if we were there with him. He has 200% knowledge of what he is talking about. I try to watch others, because I enjoy the content but just can't.

You did a wonderful job showing the house. What a fabulous house!! It's tough to pick out a favorite part because EVERY area is beautiful, my fave however was the kitchen/bar area and the fabulous pantry. And the etching of mountains in one of the powder rooms was gorgeous.
I would love to see it in winter too! Would be extremely cozy. Imagine spending the entire day snowboarding and coming back to a home like this?

Wowwwww blown away by this house 10:35 into the video. like he said the attention to detail is INSANE. the refrigerator in the hall way and every room having a private outdoor area are by far my two favorite features so far.

Aw. Sorry to hear that. It must be hard. But trust me, the novelty wears off. For the first week or month maybe you'll feel good living in a big house, but after that it's all the same.
The pool, living and kitchen areas and everything in between. The view makes it a win.
This beautiful home has many more good features that so many more expensive homes do not have. Just gorgeous and worth the money.

Gorgeous and visually stunning! The architect is a winner on this one. Everything is so beautiful from the creek to the Venetian plaster and Colorado moss rock. Every room was well planned out to the littlest details.❤

I know this is a joke lmao but restaurants actually serve warm food on warmed plates, and cold food on colder plates to keep the food temperature in balance.

There's a mansion much bigger than this in Brentwood, La, selling for 45 million.
Ski towns are hella expensive too. For example I’m pretty sure that in 2020 in Aspen Colorado (a small ski town) over 4.3 billion dollars in real estate we’re sold and rented.
Vail and Aspen are both insanely expensive places to live. A lot of that price on that house is due to the location.
Colorado really is one of the, if not the most beautiful state! I'd love to eventually move there!

My God the views on its own are worth millions! I actually felt a "this is home" moment. This is the perfect house. I don't need all of the luxury though, just the view, a decent size house, a good road into the city and most importantly a community of friends and family! Hope I can't someday achieve it (with less than a million euros).

This might be my favorite home you've featured on your channel. Beautiful scenery, architecture, and all those little things that up the comfort and convenience factor of homes like these. My favorite feature though was the creek/waterfall.

It's absolutely not worth $40m. It sold for $18.5m right before covid. The owner is trying to take advantage of the housing market bubble before it bursts soon but it doesn't apply to mega mansions. It will sell for $25m tops.

Sure, since everything there is super expensive and the cost of living is huge, it almost makes up for the big wage, but just for perspective, minimum wage in Brazil is around 200 dollars a month/$1,25 per hour.

You would also want to factor in the running cost over time (electricity bills etc) and having some full time staff like a full time house maid or maintenance person and if you can afford maybe a chef. These costs over time would be a lot. But I guess if you can afford 40 million on a house you can do the extras right!?
