Thanks for your kind words. The back story of how this was built is impressive. 14 years in the making and the work it took to build the foundation on top of a mountain without a road was crazy. The builder is a genius.
@@TedBainbridge is there more footage of this home while it was being built on RUclips? This really is unlike any other home I've ever seen in this world. With its design layout to just how many very large stones there are, topped off by a massive timber frame ceiling, this is the most monolithic home ever built aside from a castle. Just fantastic p.s. do I even wanna know what a house like this must cost with 8 years of carving out a mountain replaced with a structure of equal amount of rock quarried off site & imported😂💪👌
I have been designing homes for over 3 decades and as a part of the building industry for that long, I am still amazed at the incredible workmanship that still exists and that there are still builders of this quality, creating monuments to architecture. Thank you to the builder and the architect!
This home is the place of my dreams, just staggering! It would not look out of place in England, it reminds me of a medieval village! I’m lost for words, it’s beautiful
This is by far the most incredible house I've ever seen. I feel like there was so much more to this house we didn't get to see for instance the archway over the gate when you pull in & what appeared to be a lower level that seamlessly blended with the landscape as if it was a slab carved out of a hill with a house on top. These 2 did an amazing job reviewing it but like I said, I feel like this was worthy of at least an hour. I have never seen a home with the sheer amount of stone, with many being large boulders. That stairway into the office legit looks like you're going through a mine. All that combined with those massive white oak timbers in the ceiling really is just fantastic & unlike anything I've ever seen. The layout with the way the roof on the back side extends over and beyond the outdoor decking area stood up by 2 massive timber columns that look as if too extend down off a cliff. When people talk as if there aren't still men on this earth who are craftsmen that can build structures like they used to centuries ago, this house will stand through history to prove them wrong. 👌💪There is so much more I'm blown away by but I would really love for an extended cut of this house with every square inch garage, basements, etc, as I feel this home is unlike any other in this world & deserves the recognition for the sheer amount of muscle & precision from the masters of the craft that built it. It's stunning
I talk to some people who say "no one should own a house that big"... As if it's their business to begin with. I don't look at this with envy, though. This inspires me! It's a work of freaking ART! ❤️ What an outstanding job. I appreciate that you shared this.

It is such a breath of fresh air seeing something that is built to last in today’s world. This home is absolutely gorgeous, by far the coolest houses I’ve ever seen!
Hall of the Mountain King's! The only thing missing are dwarves hammering on anvils! Loved the stone bath, the flaming torches in the gateway. Could have done with a much longer tour.

Absolutely everyone involved in that project should be very proud of themselves. What an awesome GC he is! Not only does he have the capability to manage that job but he has been in business long enough to know every true craftsman in their trade. When constructing something like this, you have no clue how valuable that is until you have a build with fly by night Subs. This is an incredibly well executed piece of art that people will just happen to live in. Looking at the construction, though, I think that people will be able to live there for generations to come! Bravo Zulu❣️❣️❣️
Usually when I look at houses of this magnitude I picture myself living in them, but this house is such a gem I would want to treasure it and live in a van parked in the garage 😂 what a ABSOLUTELY I MEAN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL estate. ❤❤
This may not be everyone's cup of tea but I think it's awesome. Love how the external portion of the house matches the rock in the area so it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. The craftsmanship and thought that went into this house is crazy.

I love love love love stone work, and this is just insane insane insane!! Amazing work. And nice to have a customer with such vision and big bank account. Great use of their money and your time!!🙌
One of if not the most beautiful and amazingly constructed homes that I have ever seen!! I would absolutely love to live there because I adore that area as well and I love Glacier National Park but my one thing that makes me a little uncomfortable is those big heavy stones right over the head of the master bed where you sleep, I worry that over time they or one of them may get loose and fall on you when you're sleeping 😂😂😂
It’s basically an American version of a castle. It’s a dream house. However, one thing I would do differently is no exterior wood that’s exposed to the weather. The outdoor wood columns I would instead have stainless steel or concrete columns overlayed with pvc that looks like wood. Why? Any wood that’s exposed to the weather will eventually rot. If I’m going to have something built I want it built to last with minimal maintenance.
I'd love to hear/see more in terms of a deep dive into the construction techniques they used for the massive scale of stone work in this home. The engineering that goes into that sort of structural work and foundation is staggering!
This is the most incredible, imaginative house tour I've seen yet. WOW There's so much of the house we did not see and that was disappointing. He said the elevator went up four floors but they didn't go up. The wife was really disappointed they didn't really show the kitchen and its features much.
That is the most awesome house ever! Amazing craftmanship! Now my dream home! Just missing a nice pool. That stone mason is truly and artist. The wood work is amazing but the stone is off the charts!
Breathless! Never seen anything like this home. The details, engineering, materials, artisans, construction... perfection. Even though the house is giga-big and the rooms grand, they seem cozy. Thank you for this video and explaining some of the materials used. Just breathless here.
Been to Montana and the summers are beautiful. The winters with the below zero temps only a couple of rooms within should be heated. Dressing in layers is a definite.A lot of craftsmanship/ lots of local materials . Wondering how it’s heated during the winters/roof runoffs when it rains and walking on those stone pathways during winter might be tricky. The place leaves one speechless…
@finaboykm - yeah. My first thought was Montana winters you gonna freeze your nuts off cos rock will not hold warmth for long. Hence the many fireplaces I suppose.
I am sure they have not overlooked how to keep that place warm in winter. Yeah probably expensive but if that's your house you aren't worried about it.

Very nice. Love the layout from the aerial views. Only complaints: 1) Would be nice if the "entertainment side" were connected, or more connected, to the main house. Maybe it is, but they just didn't show us?; and 2) While this is generally stunning and magical in some ways, after a while I feel like it's just too much rock. Agree. My thought as they were taking us up the rock stairway is the feeling like a train going thru a tunnel (the owner's interest in trains). The house is dark to me. I prefer a lot more natural light and the feeling of being out in nature. But, wow, I can sure appreciate the craftsmanship and extensive detail in this build.
