I lived in Vail for a while. There was a house right downtown that belonged to a Prince, and there was a stream going through the middle of the house. They built it around it, so this guy had an inside room with basically a river going through it. Pretty badass.

@@leonardtarver149 Nor heated ceilings/roofs for that price... you would think these were included...personally, if I owned it, I would have put in heated driveways and roofs...so the snow wouldn't cause any damage to the latter and the former wouldn't be slippery...that is one heck of a mansion I wish I could own....perhaps in the next life? 😊😁

Aspen is beautiful in any season. As a child we stayed in one of the ski resorts in Snowmass, probably around 1972 or so and it was wonderful back then. Hiked up to Maroon Bells and toured something like a castle. Out of my price range now. I already live in Texas, I would take the money. I love the art work, I have the one in the study, a reproduction of course, it’s Caravaggio.
Killer house, I would love to see more Colorado homes that have such an outdoors feeling. Preferably not 30mil homes though, maybe a 400k home or something more affordable for the mass majority of the viewers! Thanks!

Amazing house. Would need to have some kind of business - luxury accommodation/retreat, medieval themed weekends, snow sport weekends, company/conference/training workshops, weddings. Lots of possibilities. Would need staff so it would also contribute to the local economy. If I was only 40 years younger.

Always like your videos but Theo just makes everything that much awesomer! That is an amazing house. Two questions come to mind, how many staff does the current owner have for it just to get an idea of upkeep costs and how does parking your Jeep work, how much is parking and do you keep it in the city or are there parking lots just outside the city?
I would take the cash. It has been my dream to have a ranch where retired horses can live their lives out. I would use these horses for handicapped people to come ride and enjoy these horses.
I used to think I wanted a big, fancy mansion when I was young. Not anymore. I enjoy the idea of traveling more. Just wish I had the means to go places. Come to Florida and take a guest(me) on a tour of a fancy house. Wink, Wink.
One of the many downsides of owning a home like this is keeping it clean throughout the year. I would like nothing better than to live in a mountainous region of the country where part of my mansion was carved into the mountain. Also, it must contain a separate wing for an employee, or employees, whom would help to keep the mansion clean as well as run some errands in town for me such as grocery shopping and such. I would even consider purchasing a vehicle for their use for doing this. Another thing is that there must be a sizeable walk - in pantry which has space for a large freezer for meat, vegetables, and other frozen foods. This pantry must also has more than enough space for any other types of food which doesn't need to be refrigerated. The reason why I would want this is in case we cannot leave the mansion because of weather, or the SHTF such as WW3. Another reason is if my family wants to stay for an extended length of time( Heavenly Father help me ). Security is also a concern. I would want cameras every where along the outside of the house covering the perimeter of the property as well as the outside of the house. If there were any blind spots, then these problems will need to be dealt with right fast and in a hurry. Cameras, with microphones, should also be placed in all public places of the house. All these cameras should be tied into a security room which only I, as well as anyone I employ or trust, will have keys which will be necessary to gain entry into this room. I think that a safe room would also be something to consider as well as a hidden vault room for valuables as well as personal protection( guns and ammo ). Anything else would be considered within reason.
I'd take the 1.3 mill and use it to buy my first quadroplex, fix it up a bit, wait till I start making profit from renting it out, then after a year buy my next one and let the snowball affect start rolling haha
Mansions in lesser populated areas especially mountainside areas like this are the best!! I'm so jealous of the corporate moneybags that can afford this stuff...

It is ski in ski out on Aspen Mountain, has an indoor pool, bowling alley, incredible views, and even has a waterfall covering the garage door.
