I have same problem mate. Have you found any solution so far?
@@LllaKI989 Yes I have. Searh on your task bar for device manager. Click on Display adapters and choose your adapter. Then go to "Driver" and click update driver
@@KILLERCANE42 Thanks, thats good advice. But i just found out that my graphic card doesnt support 3 monitors...

This video was kinda helpful but for me is that monitor 2 is extended to 3 but when I extend it to my desktop but it goes back to disconnect this display.
My too
The reason it dose that is because you would need a graphics card that can handle 3 monitors and the device is just stretching the 2nd display to ur 3rd monitors but I wish he would have said it in this video (hope this was helpful)
@@nickowen4285 Hey, did you end up finding a solution for this? I am having the same problem.
Gio Pascual so what the problem was was that the splitter is only meant to replicate the 2nd screen to the 3rd

my problem is apparently i cant have all 3 slots used up on a gpu (desktop pc). When i would change a monitor to extend, a different one would disconnect. Im now using a better GPU, with 2 slots, but one monitor is using internal graphics. HDMI and DVI are in the GPU, while the worst monitor of the 3 is using the internal VGA slot on the motherboard.
thank you lot
Thank you so much!

I am having a similar issue. I have 2 monitors plugged into the docking station for my laptop, ThinkPad (in case that makes a difference).
The were working fine when I decided to rearrange my desk. I unplugged everything. Move things around. Then when I plugged everything back in including the 2 monitors the laptop only recognizes one at a time. So it will display on one monitor but not the other but then I unplug the first monitor then the second monitor will display the screen. I have switched which monitors is plugged into what part of my docking station but still the same thing happens. I have replaced all of the cord incase that was the problem but same thing. Not sure how to fix this issue.

I have a hdmi splitter adapter that hooks up both monitors to my laptop via one hdmi port .. But the two monitors show up as 1, so when I go to display settings I only see 1 & 2 instead of 1 2 & 3... Is there a solution for that
Hi, did you find a fix for this? facing same issue
why does my laptop still try to show multiple displays after I have removed it from the dock?

i have internal elgato with two displays, mistakenly clicked on disconnect the display, now I'm unable to use elgato, when i unplug my elgato hdmi cable, then only getting display output, while connecting it back it's not working anymore. any solutions?
I'm using a desktop. all 3 ports are used and have displays connected to them, but when I click "extend desktop to this display" it disconnects the other display, basically keeping me with 2 displays, rather than 3. is there a fix for this?

This exactly happens to me, but the 3rd display just can't be enabled even with this, gives error "The display settings could not be saved. ..." Both my alternate monitors work if I plug them individually to my laptop, but if I try to use them both at the same time, that issue happens. Any idea? I have an Alienware m17x (2012)

I have a other problem. My screen is still black while its on "Extend destop to this display. Is it a hardware fault or should I buy a new monitor?
Given your description, the first thing to double-check is that the source video input setting within the non-working display is set to the correct video input given the type of video cable in use (for example HDMI, DVI or VGA). * Please note - DisplayPort displays are not supported with the UD-3900 *
If that does not help and you are using a Plugable UD-3900 docking station, please reach out to us directly via support@plugable.com with the Amazon Order ID number for your UD-3900 purchase and the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug --> plugable.com/support/plugdebug while everything is connected (even if not working as expected) so that we may assist.

Having this exact issue, but when I followed your steps to extend desktop to the last display it just keeps defaulting back to "Disconnect this display."
1. The cord and monitor works, whenever I unplug one of my other screens the monitor comes on without having to shift cords.
2. The graphics card is good for it. This setup was working until I unplugged it and plugged it back in this morning.
3. I made sure all drivers are up to date.
4. I did try restarting the PC.
Any help anyone can provide would be amazing.

What about when it says it's connected - one display port and one hdmi cabled in - cables good - using now direct connect hdmi to laptop with no problems and the only video in dock now is display,
but no issues of blinking - not coming on etc
Not quite we understand the present condition based on your description, however any video cable with a 'DisplayPort' connector is not compatible with the UD-3900 dock. Only HDMI, DVI and VGA cables are compatible.
