Thanks for having me round guys!! So much fun playing the bagpipes with Aimee and demolishing some walls too! Can’t wait to hear some tunes from Craig and to see how this epic renovation project develops 🔥🎶💙
Brought me to tears. My Scottish heritage spoke to me. Hopefully, one day, I will get there! My mother's family, her parents, were from the Isle of Lewis. She visited as a kid then got to go with her sister about 5 years before she passed. Her dream was reached.
Thanks for going round! So much fun watching you play bagpipes and demolishing some walls too. If you're looking for a boyfriend, I'm your man
Bro! You have to teach Amy flat fingers on the practice chanter 😂
@@lynnees9828amazing! You gotta visit. I’m sure it will be an unforgettable trip 💙🔥
@@user-bw8es2rh8rhaha thanks 🎶⚡️
We need longer videos, guys. I can't wait for a whole week for 20 mins. I need more 😂❤ xxx
❤❤AGREE 👏👏👏 I couldn’t stop laughing with this one .
you've got to wait 2 weeks 😂, but they are busy doing the house, so 20 mins is more than we can ask for with everything else they have on as well.
@@mindyedwards2699 I just have to repeat their Japan trip ❤️❤️
You have to remember that they are probably the busiest they have ever been right now. I'm happy to get anything on a weekly basis to be honest.
100% agree! They should do a live mid week! I don’t care about editing as most of yous won’t either!
Hey guys Danny here me and Ashleigh followed you for along time loving the renovation! After seeing your adventures we’re about to finish our van renovation and heading off to Europe for three months next week!
I’m self employed heating and gas engineer and see your having some problem with the plumbing. You’ve got to be sure the loft tanks aren’t filing, as long as they’re fully empty you’ll have no water feeding the gravity hot and cold water and the radiators. You will have a lot of water retained in the pipes and radiators so if you do remove a radiator and water continues to flow don’t fear just contain it and remove the water till it stops again as long as the tanks are empty you wont be refeeding the pipes so your okay to strip out and remove what you can. Couple tips do not remove the 15mm copper pipe feeding the tanks that will be live all the way to your stop cock which would usually be under the kitchen sink. If the tanks are still being fed by water even tho you’ve isolated the valves some old valves can fail so use some string and tie the float valve up so it stops filling.
Honestly as long as your not feeding the pipes then any water you get will be a couple buckets and finish leaving you free to strip out the drained pipes the only pipe that should be left still live feeding water will the be the cold mains which will feed the kitchen tap and the loft tanks only.
Grab yourself a angle grinder and go to town on the unrequited pipe work if your upgrading to a pressurised system
Then I would isolate at the kitchen tap and strip everything and go for fresh but depends on what you can continue to use with new layout and design.
Hopefully helpful and not sounding like nonsense 😂 happy to offer any advise if you need!
P.s we think you should name the lawn mower Robocrop or sir lawns a lot
Keep up your amazing content and beautiful energy!
omg Sir Lawns A Lot!! great name
You both are such good sports even when things go wrong. Having a great neighbor like Brad adds to the awesomeness of your new home.
Sitting down to watch this after a long day of driving the Put Foot Rally!❤️❤️❤️ guess who inspired it😏🫶🏻
Make sure to sell your copper tank and pipework to a local scrap yard. Couple of hundred quids worth there easy 🤙🏼
I'm a little late to the party. This house build is really going to be something else. Everybody should take an example of your relationship How fun you guys are together after many years❤🎉
Awww thank you ❤❤
I love watching them together❣️ They've got an awesome relationship ‼️
Sooooooo the burning questions are, in that order:
- is there a miss Brad?
- does Mr Brad own a kilt?
Asking for, ermmm, a friend 😍
*looking up plane tickets*
😇 🤭 ❤
All your videos are so delightful! I loved the bagpipe lesson being interwoven with the demolition, the editing is top-notch, and the cursing at the end was chef's kiss!
Ahh Thank you very much! Appreciate that!
Love you guys. But anytime you bleed the water pipes you have to open all the faucets and radiators. After you shut the water off. Then go to the lowest part of the pipe run and open it up.Oh and the radiators especially the top fed are always have water in them.
Ijust want to see everyone
win in life. So if you're
reading this, I'm rooting for
you. May all your soons
turn into finally🥰💜🎣❣️❣️❣️❣️
Legend x
Craig, you need to listen to your plumber better. The hot water cylinder is filled from the big tank in the loft. And the heating is filled by a small tank in the loft. And both are feed from your main drinking water. And the radiators, also will still have water in them downstairs as the drain off valve is probably no lower. So if you leave the valves on the pipes. Take the rads off from the union the nut that goes onto the rad it's self. And then use the rad valves on the pipe to drain the rest of the water out the system. Then you need to cap the pipes that go to the tanks to stop them refilling. Before you turn the water back on. I hope this helps. Go guys.
😅
Is this french? Lol 🤯
Hahaha can't say I didn't tell him 😂😂 I did say there would be water in the pipe that are lower than the drain pipe
You guys are cracking me up again. Thanks for showing Brad off. I love the mower and hope he serves you well.
Iam 77 and confident you two will be together for decades because of your humor and love for each other. Love Brad, just subbed his channel. You keep me so entertained. When you get to gardening and house deco I will be glad to share my years of knowledge. Please name your m over--Thor
Craig you have a very handsome smile. Keep the clean shaven look 👍 that’s my vote (lol) if there is any.. Good luck in the rest of your renovations.
He is a gorgeous guy! And always smiling, even when he wants to cry.😊
I can see a tap dancing, bagpipe playing Aimee busker in her dotage. Cause it's gonna take a long time to master both! But what a blast it will be!!
Loving the project, water running everywhere in the house now is WAY better than after it's all done!
Hugs from 🇨🇦
Your videous are the best and i always get in such a good mood from them! Just a little note about your new lawnmover; keep on mind that robot mowers can seriously damage hedgehogs, for example. Avoid use at night.
Bloody love you 2 😊 Don't get why you haven't got MILLIONS of Subscribers, you're the best on RUclips!! Love Rose xx
Hi Brad! Glad to have you onboard!
Blessed to have come along on the journey! 🙌🎶
Brad is an absolute LEGEND! I want to see more of him!!! Minute 8:27, I can't stop laughing!!! Just hilarious video, guys :D Well done on the job this week!
I love your channel so much. Honestly as soon as you post, I shut down whatever else I’ve been watching and move over to your videos!!!!! ❤
Me too!
Afternoon lads. Hope you're dads getting on ok 🤞
Thanks Allan, he's doing okay! Thanks for asking ❤
The lawnmower can be called Sebastian (first name I thought of) or a proper Scottish name like Hamish! p.s. I love Craig's hair bows!!!
Currently in bed feeling rubbish with my hot water bottle, full of cold, laughed so much i started coughing and wet my pants,( Craig throwing stuff out of skylight onto Amy), cheers lads, I so needed you both today 😂😂❤ xxx
Every Sunday I get so amazed at the work you are doing that I find my mouth dropping most of the time and I am literally LOL. For a small house, there is a humongous amount of work. Good thing you are young and can handle it. I cheer you on during every video. Wish I had expert advice but I know nothing about house building. I hope someone helps you.
I just love the bagpipes. What a fun neighbor to have. A good name for the mower would be Piper :) Good luck with the plumbing.
Abso-frikking-lutely needs to be Larry Lawnmower... fastest grass cutter in the North 🤣
Ace video guys. Loving watching the Scottage progress. Excited to see more of the same xx
I just suggested Larry, also, before I saw your comment
Wow!!!!! Bagpipes and Brad! That man can swing a sledge hammer👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻💪🏻
You should name the mower Chompers🤣
Blasting the pipes and wielding a hammer are a Scottish right of passage I guess 😂🎶⚡️ it was so much fun doing that all with Craig and Aimee
@@iambradarthur Thank you for sending a message to me! I feel special👍🏻
Your bagpipe playing is amazing! I hope you can teach Aimee how to play🙂
There are 3 water circuits in your house. 1. cold water from a stopcock; 2. hot water from a tank in the attic; 3. water in the radiators and boiler. Easy.
Is there a construction trade school nearby where teens are learning the trades electrical, plumbing, where they have a teacher who knows what they are doing? Extra set of hands and young kids are learning while being extra hands helping you under an expert's eye?
I don’t know where to start - and I don’t know how to stop, LAUGHING 🤣 . Craig ponytails, KANCHO MOMENTS, and Aimee bagpipes musical talent. The lads are the best. AIMEE KEEP PLAYING YOUR BAGPIPES I CHEERING FOR YOU ❤❤❤
Have a smashing day everyone!!!
Nothing beats demo!! Good for getting any angst out 😂 very therapeutic 😂
I love seeing your journey I have been here from watching from day one. Keep it up guys you make my week. Thank you x
Yay! Thank you Jade!
I’m back just popped over to see Brad, He is so talented, thanks for sharing his channel. You guys are gonna have so much fun having him as a neighbour,
@BradArthur is @Kinging-It ! Legendary Amy/Trev! Well done, Craig!
⚡️💙 let’s gooo
Can’t wait to see the finished product of this house you guys have smashed it already!
Fun vlog. Doing well guys!
Please do always check for animals before lawnmowing. Don't run it at sunrise, sunset or nights because so many animals eg hedgehogs are injured by the robot lawnmowers. Even though the companies claim their lawnmowers have sensors to not drive over animals... but it seems they don't work!
My favorite instrument is the bag pipes. I get all goose-bumpy whenever I hear them. Good luck Amy. Don't give up.
You guy's always cheer up my Sunday's, just keep doing what you are doing ❤
I'm loving this journey 😊😊
Make sure to save all the copper pipe and use it as rods in the soil to grow your vegetables. It makes veggies flourish, grow faster, and bigger....it's amazing! There's lots of info on it on the web. Copper also has a lot of healing properties.
❤ Normally the internal stop tap for mains water is under the kitchen sink or in one of the kitchen lower cupboards ❤
The green thing is a cylinder not a boiler (except you may have an immersion heater in it), it is normally used to provide hot water to the taps and is heated via the heating loop from the boiler / heat source, therefore it will be full of water so not sure what your plumber was advising, unless all you are keeping are the cold feeds to toilet and washing machine, which is fair enough.
Also the hose was not unravelled so you possibly had a kink in it 🤔
Bit of a blast from the past but Patrick Mower must be in with a shout 😂
Aimee, you and Craig are couples goals fr. I've been single for a good long while and don't want a bf, but if I ever do fall for a man again, I hope to build the kind of relationship that you two have. Very wholesome, sweet, respectful of each other, best friends... y'all are just the cat's meow 🐱💜
Amazing how bagpipes can be background music for anything, happy, sad....crazy, manic 😁👍
We think you should name your lawnmower either Duncan or Malcom. Two amazingly wonderful Scottish names. Duncan is also the name of our beautiful Shitzu. He says "Hi" and waves his paw at you. We are also living in Scotland and are massive fans of your channel ❤
I named mine " Patrick " some will know.
These vlogs are the best...I know they're the best cause it seems to fly by and the end...love your enthusiasm..I smile and laugh through the whole show. Thank you so much.
Glad you like them Pat - thanks for the love!
You worked so hard cleaning that room .. definitely ask Brad back , he looked like he was really enjoying smashing them wall ..
Brad's a good looking bloke. Glad he came by this week! :D
Best part of the day. Love seeing a new video. My favorite RUclipsrs!! ❤❤🎉🎉❤❤
You both are doing a fabulous job.
Wow, Brad and the bagpipes 🎉
"HERE YE, HERE YE", This is my favorite channel for a list of reasons, but natural humor and being down to earth personas are🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Craig and Aimee you do so well at being Craig and Aimee. From Los Angeles, California on a Saturday evening.😅🤣😂🤣😅 laughing out loud until the end. I will miss you, until the next post.
i dont know if its my scotish heritage but i think the bagpipes are such a beautiful sound
Have great week guys! Will miss not seeing you next week!!
Your new mower buddy should be Grasshopper. Aimee, i believe you can learn to play those baggies and make your dream come true 🤩
Watching this on my first little solo trip in the new (to me) van, which you had a huge part in inspiring me to do 💕 love from one Welshie to another! 🏴
Somebody suggested ‘Piper’ as a name for the mower. Considering the theme of this video was drain pipes and bagpipes that sounds fitting 😂🎶
Get it guys!! Aimee you're the next Ross Gellar with the bagpipes 😆🎶
I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.. now i need to go google Ross on the bagpipes!
Loved the bagpipes! We had bagpipes for our wedding to walk in and sooooo loud! Hard instrument to play so best of luck xx
Malcolm Mower, or Garson Grasscutter are my suggestions. You guys are the best! Love you both.
House is empty do just rip out rads you won't have that much now you emptied cylinder and wood burner all be dry by following day you will have black sludge in rads make them heavy look under sink or bathroom for incoming water pipe alter there for temporary water supply easy😂 well kept me entertained ❤
I love how far you guys have come it's great to see all the work you've done xx❤️
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for the heads up on no video next week. Love watching you guys work as a team to get it done! 😍😍
just sub to Brad he is so talented, Great video and your progress on the cottage demo moving along great with no one getting injured, Name the mower. Sir Mow a lot.
You guys are my weekly dose of sunshine 🌞xxx
Owen. Mowin’ Owen. 😊
Loved the bagpipe lesson ❤ It was giving a Ross from Friends vibe from the bagpipe episode. Can’t wait to hear some future bagpipe face melting solos!
I have just come back from a visit to Scotland and happy to see I have some videos to catch up on!
👋🏻 How is GARY doing ??
We shall give him a ring this week and ask!
@@kingingitawe. Thank you. He holds a special place in our heart❤️ ❤
"Sound like a pair of ducks screaming at each other" was the line of day 😂
I have to share a laugh, I’m Scottish and love the bagpipes and so occasionally listen to them, but my cat was definitely not having it when you were playing, Aimee! He kept looking at the tv and then me like WTH? 🤣🤣🤣. He liked the other guy’s bagpipes though, not an ear twitch. He’s a snob! 🤣🤣
You will get it though and will be brilliant!
Mowey McMowface has got to be the name for your robot grass cutter 😆
Brad ❤
Haha 💙🎶
❤
Brilliant, same as lots of others have said. I look forward to your video on a Sunday, sad you won’t be on next Sunday. ☹️. BTW can we have more of Brad please. X ❤
nice to see how you 2 learning
EARLY LOVE U GUYS ❤❤❤❤
Under one hour gang 😂😂
I love the sound of bag pipes. Maybe not so much when Trev is playing them.🤣
Robbie Churns? Name for the mower. He is Scottish right? You go with the pipes Aimee! Loved this video guys!! ❤
You guys got this! this cottage will be AMAZING!!! 🫶🏻 love from pennsylvania!!
A friend once gave me some very good advice, if you're doing home renovations don't touch water or electricity. Knowing a plumber and being a plumber are two very different things😄
Mate love the blogs, now if no water is filling the tanks in the loft then your good to pull the tank and rads out. Do not cut through the pipe that feeds the tanks, before blanking it of near the source.. You've got this👊
If you need a laugh - come to Kingin it 😂 never fail to crack me up these two 😂 big love guys ❤
Please please please get a licensed plumber and electrician over there before you do your walls and paint everything and then have to open them back up for a leak or an electrical issue. You won’t regret it!!!
Ember that there will be water in the pipes upstairs, so when you take the rads off downstairs, gravity will force the water out.
However it would be wise to find the supply, unless it is coming from the tanks in the loft, trace the pipe work from the bottom of the tank in the loft to see where the water goes
Sooo Random lol. Benn following Brad for years.
Craig and Aimee’s house renovation!! I love it ❤
Please make sure your lawnmower doesn't go at night, because it might do serious damage to hedgehogs. Thanks!
Removing a radiator from the wall: Turn off the heat and the power to the radiator, Drain the radiator by attaching a hose to the drain valve at the bottom of the radiator, once the radiator is drained , u can remove the mounting brackets that hold the radiator to the wall, with the mounting brackets removed , you should be able to lift the radiator off the wall.
Provided you have the main completely off. I don't think they have the main completely off.
Craig and Aimee - please use a local Architect for future projects. I recommend Scott Gibb who grew up about 1/4 mile from your house. Andrew Keir at Finzean is another great option. They understand the weather, the countryside and Scottish Law. They also know all the local Tradespeople and can recommend the correct people.
Wow- how great is neighbor Brad!?
Is Brad single? Asking for a freind.
Kinging-it, cup of tea... I'm ready for my Monday morning!
My poor cat when they were playing the bagpipes 😂😂😂
Mine too!😅
Lawn mower: Mow? Or Mo. love you two!! So funny …still in awe you don’t have millions of followers…you’re so fun! One day!
