Wow, he's such a sweet boy with great parents... I just looked through his IG and he is so loved... Thank you for your patience, time and love in grooming him and he's living his best life thanks to his owners...
No judgement for his owners or you - except praise! They obviously love him and you are a very special groomer to take on those difficult cases! Yes, it's a cautionary tale of sus breeders for certain. Storm looks gorgeous and I 💯 agree! Having worked in the veterinary field for about 25 years, there are very few owners who would go to these lengths for their pet. It's usually a very kind community here overall. We all learn so much! Let's save the negative comments for the behavior channels where people are pure idiots and endangering their dogs and humans. (Still it should be done nicely and with instruction - there's no need for nastiness! There's enough of that in this world!)
Amazing owners giving great care to a special needs dog. I can't imagine the cost of 23 pills a day and vet bills! Then they drive hours and hours to get to the best groomer. Thats devotion!
@@timmit-s4d Your comment is unwarranted and improper. There is no need to put him down. The ethical thing in this case is to be sure he is neutered and care for him as these owners have done. Sadly many special needs animals do not end up with owners that have the financial means to provide them with a chance at life. I praise the owners for what they have done. Thank you Vanessa for your part in this dog’s care. (P.S. Thanks to the person who came in to help you.)
Anyone who cares for dogs shouldn't buy pedigrees. They're always riddled with genetic maladies and rewarding sickness with money isn't loving animals, it's wrong. By all means, have dogs as pets, but buy mongrels or get rescue dogs. The list of problems pugs have is abuse beyond measure. I don't doubt the owner's heart for one minute, but it's easy to give into animals because they're cute rather than questioning is it fair or humane to animals? I want everyone to think carefully about that.
@@SevenEllen I agree with you about unethical breeders but this dog had a brain lesion. This is very unlikely to be due to breeding and more to a development issue in the womb or possibly an accident when he was a pup.
In theory this should not happen, unfortunately we live in a world where greed and selfishness prevail, but I guess if no one bought from them they would eventually get the message, but then what would happen to these poor animals who are the victims of this cruel society
@@SevenEllen i think the discussion around breeding is more complicated than that. working lines of dogs that strive for fewer health and behavioral issues are very important. service animals, livestock guardians, search and rescue, and the many other jobs that dogs can have are possible because of selective breeding and people ensuring that there are lines of dogs that can continue to work faithfully far into the future i 100% agree with you about dogs like pugs. it's really unfortunate that so many people prefer a cute dog over a comfortable one. i hope the decline of backyard and unethical breeders will help decrease the number of dogs in rescues and everyone can be better off
Let me express as a veterinary nurse that these owners pay upwards of $500+ /PER MONTH to keep this baby alive and that alone is no easy thing. Let alone driving as far as they did to bring him some relief for his coat. That was a much-needed groom and good on them for exhausting all efforts to take care of him. Thank you for helping them as much as possible.
I’d think more. My sharpei/pit mix costs me an easy $500 in one vet visit when she has a skin and/or ear infection from her allergies. Between the skin scrapings, allergy shot, ear flush, two antibiotics, office visit charge, etc.
Wow, in that case, most owners wouldn't be able to afford keeping such a pet alive. It breaks my heart but if I was in that situation, I'd have to give up the dog or make the hardest decision of euthanasia. That's not even including the time commitment to staying on top of the dog's health needs. You really put into perspective just how much these owners deserve praise, not ridicule.
Thank you for standing up for the owners from backlash on the internet. RUclips comment sections can be absolutely brutal, and it would absolutely destroy them to be putting so much money, effort, love, and time into Storm's comfort and health just to be slammed by complete strangers.

For sure! he looked far better. absolute kudos to the owner for being willing to go so far, figuratively AND literally, to provide what's best for the poor dog. I looked at the Instagram page, so much love there for him ❤
I think he looked much better when you finished, even though you don't think it is up to your usual standards. I'm hoping that your tips-and-tricks suggestions to the owners will help them deal with the coat on their own. If they can get it under control on their own, then maybe they could make a trip to you twice a year for more extensive grooming.
i am severely disabled and it is a massive, eternal, daily challenge to convince people, organisations, and other entities that we're worth every ounce of the work, time, energy, care, and accommodations it takes to not only keep us alive, but ensure we have any quality of life to speak of. happy disability pride month to storm ♡ thank you to him and his family for taking care of him and giving him all the love he deserves. he looks beautiful and i'm sure he feels so much better now
Thank you for your wonderful words. As someone who has been disabled for more than 3 decades, I sometimes find the will to advocate for myself to be exhausting. The empathy of my loved ones and people who understand is priceless.
@@courageouspotato-pc7gh ♡♡♡♡ thank you for your comment and thank you for being here. we dedicate so much of our precious resources simply to surviving, to trying to obtain our own contentedness, to seeking comfort, to securing access to the people, places, and things we need and love. advocating for ourselves is one of the most difficult things, impossible for many of us!, and i firmly believe those of us with this ability should use it to advocate for other disabled people, too. know you're valued and loved. i hope you have a peaceful, comfortable, pleasant upcoming week ♡♡
It's not a matter of being "worth" the time, energy etc - a lot of disabled people can't "give back" much to the community. The real reason is all human beings have the right to certain things simply by being human. That is why we as a society should help disabled people whether or not they can do anything in return.
Honestly he and his family are a really good example of why disabled animals DO NOT NEED to be put down at all. They need owners willing and able to accommodate their needs. But when pets are treated as inanimate companions like stuffed toys people are completely willing to believe a disabled animals life is not worth saving. That there's no way for them to be happy or live a fulfilling life. That's something that is also reflected in the way people view disabled people but we haven't caught up as a society that our companion animals deserve to be cared for and given the best life possible. And I don't mean that in like ... support of irresponsible breeders who are literally breeding deformations and major medical issues into their puppies. Just that if you see a special needs dog at a shelter....maybe don't skip over them as a rule if you have the means to give them a happy life. I know not everyone can because it's expensive but ....this dog seems very happy, polite and well adjusted. The fact that he got extremely good care lessened his seizures and while he may deal with some chronic pain and fatigue he seems to be doing very well. It's honestly so heartwarming to see.
@@gafairbanks2434 Honestly even people who do a lot of research are being bamboozled by some of these breeders. There are very few responsible breeders after the pandemic hit. There was this huge influx of adoptions and while most of it was super cute and wholesome a lot of people decided to get into breeding. And that's on top of how many irresponsible breeders were already out there. Finding out the AKC isn't reliable either makes it a daunting task. These owners thought they were at a reputable breeder too and look what happened to this poor pooch. I'm still a huge advocate for shelter adoption. Especially considering how often those dogs end up in shelters anyway. Because most people who were sold a disabled or very sick animal would just surrender them to the shelter. Usually because they can't afford to nurse them to health. Irresponsible breeders will also take in the last of a litter if they aren't puppies anymore because people specifically want PUPPIES from a breeder and they'll get rid of any they can't sell to start over rather than waiting to find good owners and run their poor female through with back to back litters. Like. At this point I would consider it a bit of a red flag if they ONLY seem to have very young puppies available and they push super hard for you to buy immediately before you can notice any birth defects or health concerns. It's so bad out here for dogs right now ...
I wanted to let you know how much this means to me, a fellow owner of a disabled dog. She is a two year old golden doodle who has had epileptic seizures since she was born, and has her medication upped about every 6 months. She was from a breeder originally, and was adopted and then returned when learning that she had seizures. The breeder then did the right thing and gave her over to a local rescue, one at which I volunteer for, and we had her as a foster two days later. She was our tenth foster, but our first foster fail. Sadly, she is going through a bit of a hard time right now, but we have been in contact with both her vet and her neurologist (yes, my dog has a neurologist lol) and we can only hope for the best. Seeing this beautiful, older special needs dog gives me hope that she can pull through. Thank you again for taking the time to care for him and adjust for his needs, it means more then you know.
I wish you all the best with your furry ball of love. Our cat called Mimi had health problems and was a major handful of work but we loved her dearly. Unfortunately her last seizure was too much for her tiny weak body and she crossed the rainbow but will never be forgotten.
Same. Epilepsy/seizure disorders are tough on everyone, animal and human, and it helps to know you're not alone and there is hope. I also adopted an epileptic goldendoodle who came through a place I was volunteering. She's four, and hopefully we have many good years left together, but it's difficult not knowing what the future holds. We send our best to your pup and hope you and your vet team can get her stabilized.

The fact that they would drive that far to get him groomed by you shows the level of care and service you provide for these animals. Not even including the fact you do these grooms for free for your clients. It just blows my mind. I've been binge watching your videos since I found your channel!
I'm sure he wasn't as angry but you must consider the fact he may have some numbness in certain areas, legs & underbelly. He may have been experiencing a tingle and never felt that before. With that much matting, I'd say he did wonderful with you. Such a beautiful baby with extremely good manners 💕
I have a brain lesion (schizencephaly) and blind in my left eye, too ( septo-optic dysplasia).... and seizures ( big ones fully controlled... partials are not). I can sympathize with this gorgeous boy. It's a scary life. Bless you for working on him!
*waves* Me too! Was lucky do not be blind from the lesion, but seizures and migraines are a huge issue. Always nice to find people in the same, or similar boats. We tend to come out of the woodwork on videos like this.
As someone who had a diabetic dog with Cushing's disease that later resulted in seizure clusters, the owners are doing a great job at taking care of this pup. It takes so much time, effort, emotional strength, and money to really care for a disabled pet, and it's clear that they love Stormy very deeply
We’re big Storm fans here. Thanks for helping him with a more comfortable coat. His parents really are amazing. What a good dude for enduring the long groom and getting this much done!
Thank you. As a disabled person and accessibility activist, this video is terrific. Your presentation advised of his disabilities and then you groomed him like you always do - with care for the animal and the quality of your work. It is the way it should be.
i'm disabled and coordinate access for other disabled activists in activists spaces, and i agree that this video's presentation is well done and a gold standard example of how to approach tending to disabled animals, and even people. be well, thank you for continuing the fight ♡
Same. I am the disabled caregiver of my disabled adult child. I see what Vanessa is doing here, explaining the dog's disabilities and showing such compassion and understanding, vital to the acceptance of all creatures with disabilities. It normalizes it in a way that doesn't feel 'preachy' or like she's pushing an agenda. This is a good example of what inclusion should look like.
I appreciate how matter of fact she is about his needs. They're just something to be kept in mind and worked with, not some tragedy to be milked for sympathy or drama.
He seems like an incredibly sweet pup. I'm glad the owners are giving him a home. A lot of people would be turned away from a dog that needs 23 different medications.
Which is insane, by the way. Based off what the lady said, he honestly shouldn't need THAT many meds. Sounded like he should be on five, ten at the extreme most, though seizure meds would probably need to be on a revolving door. Like, I just cannot fathom what all those drugs are supposed to be doing.
It is VERY apparent to me that his Mom and Dad love this baby more than anything! He is so beautiful, what wonderful parents! Many long and happy years with your teddy bear.
I have to give the owners a shout out here. Not many people would have kept an animal with so many health issues. Love of animals makes my world a better place.
Not many could have afforded the expense of such intensive, constant medical care. Stormy is fortunate that his family is not only willing, but also financially able, to extend the care he needs.

His owners obviously adore Mr. Storm, and are so fortunate to have found such a kind and patient groomer as yourself. He looks so handsome and I believe he feels it too!

You groomed an angry Great Lakes Ice Bear! His coat still looked 100% better when you were done and he looked like it felt so much better for him. Makes my heart happy that his parents didn’t just abandon him to a shelter or worse. Our rescue we saved on the day before the shelter would have put her down and had no idea she had seizures until a month or two in and we cared for her until the very end. ❤
To the owners, and this lady groomer, you all are very, very special people. Storm is beautiful, would make you want to give this big, gorgeous fluffenstuff a enormous hug (if permitted). Kudos to you all!

And having seen/heard a dog seizure, I'm also extremely grateful that such a thing would not feature in the main video. That is a sound I would prefer to never again hear in my whole life. At the same time, I understand the educational benefit being able to see/hear such a thing could be for other people.

I had a very fluffy dog (Finnish Lapphund) with a host of medical problems. He had Cushings Disease, multiple adisonian crises (medication was consistent, we don't know why it happened), regular housebreaking accidents that we tried to fix with training and dog diapers, and at the end of his life complicated diabetes. You are good pet parents. His medical conditions are not your fault. Get some rest
As someone with mild congenital endocrine problems, I’m expecting them to get worse later in life. Thankfully, I only have to take one pill for it and wear an ID bracelet (which I really need to update, actually). I feel pretty lucky. But I’m prepared for it getting worse.
It’s hard enough to keep a dog without a disability & such a full coat consistently brushed let alone groomed. It takes a very special person/persons to take care of a special needs animal. He is a very beautiful dog & I wish him a long & continuous happy life. Godspeed to these owners. Just keeping him alive & loved is truly amazing. ❤
I have a special place in my heart for dog owners who spend money to give sick/disabled dogs the best life they can. We got a porch puppy rescue a few years ago, and he ended up having a congenital heart defect. We decided that we would give him the best life we could with his limited time. We only had 7 pills a day and it nearly broke us financially (still recovering) and it prolonged his life until he was 2 years old. He was a happy dog. It’s hard and scary, but so worth it. I hope his owners know how absolutely amazing they are.

Storm's owners are the type of dog owners you want every dog to have. They clearly love him so much and do whatever they can for him. Partial transformation? Judging? This owners deserve an award! And your job was flawless!!! He looks amazing! This is precisely why I watch your videos! Come on! You all deserve all of the credits!
I love the way you stood up for the owners and their dog. Sometimes people judge precisely due to a lack of information and jump to conclusions far too quickly.
It's evident in your commentary that you think of *everything* - the looseness of the noose, not wanting to put the muzzle on in case he has a seizure, your education on what a seizure looks like, how aware you are of everything having to do with him. This is the reason why the owners drove so far, because you are YOU. I wish everyone was as loving and conscientious as you. Thank you for respecting these pups so much!
Just watched your latest podcast, I am sad. You are amazing. I am not a groomer, but I am smart enough to understand that not all pets are the same, nor are all groomers. It takes more than just going through the actions to do a job well, such as you do. Haters gonna hate. They are bored or feel threatened. Lovers gonna love, keep doing what you do without changing anything. Love you and your work, Vanessa!
I just saw the podcast also. The non helpful comments that come Vanessa’s way are just absurd. She proves her determination, dedication, and love with this one groom alone. Doing what she does as a career is a step out of most people’s comfort zone, requiring courage, perseverance, and willingness to open your life up to more people than most of can conceive of. Not to mention that this career doesn’t have a 9 to 5 schedule, it requires more hours than most of us are able to give. Caring for a large dog with special needs is expensive, physically and mentally draining. We’ve had several that in their last few years of life needed intensive care, and our last was given a grooming session just a week before her death. Our groomer was so kind and supportive to her and us, and it was nice that she was clean and comfortable in the end. Thank you for your kindness.

Storm hit the jackpot with these humans. They fight for him and love him and do everything they can for him. They are to be praised and respected for how much they clearly love this big fluffy. I commend them.
I think there are moments in someone's life when they realize they were meant to be where they are. And this is a perfect example of that. Storm needed someone who is patient, kind, caring, and altogether loving to all animals to help take care of him, and that's what led him to you. A definite meant to be moment. My dog Punkin had seizures. We just came outside one day and he was sitting in a chair on our porch. He had a giant bump on his head and started having seizures soon after he arrived. He looked like a dwarf labrador, but was probably a mutt best we could tell so he had short hair and was easy to take care of. But after his seizure was over he would soil himself wherever he laid down so he could not live in the house. We built him a very nice house just off our back porch with fans for summer and heat for the winter. Even though he was an outside dog, we gave him lots of love and until he died, our American bully kept him company and they loved each other and shared the house. I miss you, Punkin❤

Taking care of a friend with seizures can be challenging and heartbreaking. In this gentleman's case, he had the additional challenges of ataxia (you did pronounce it correctly), limb weakness, and vision impairment. While his grooming service isn't going to be something considered an acceptable breed standard situation, the removal of the offending matted hair, the attention you give, and your willingness to help those individuals who have been turned away by others makes whatever happens by your hands fantastically beautiful. Peace always.
What wonderful owners who decided against putting him down when they learned of his disabilities. And to drive 9 hours to get him groomed by the Girl With the Dogs shows such compassion and devotion. Love and light to them and to you.
It takes a special kind of soul to give so much to an animal like Stormy. Big man got dealt a bad hand in his life. Despite all the upset he was putting out. Wow. Considering all his health issues, he did an amazing job tolerating the groom. You showed a lot of patience and compassion for him. What good pup.
The owners are absolutely wonderful, as are you. They clearly love him dearly, and are doing the best they can for him within the constraints of his medical complications.
Wow, I stand in awe of Storm, his people and you. The love and devotion these people have for their dog is wonderful. However, Storm has shown his patience and his lovely nature here as well,, even though he growled. To be handled like that, even with all the care and gentleness you gave him, that can't have been easy for him, you and your reinforcement friend being total strangers to him. Hat off all round!
These owners are really committed to their dog. They've taken care of him medically and thankfully you can help with the grooming. You're the best! He is beautiful.
This may not have been “perfect” in the sense of show ring preparation but it was the most PERFECT BLESSING for the dog and owners. Thank you for everything you do for all the last resort pets you groom! 👌🙏💕
My heart goes out to the dog and the owners and I think you did a fine job. Something that they may consider which is what I've had to do with my dog I buy the extra large gel caps and a thousand in a bag from Amazon and as a result I'm able to actually combine some of her pills into one gel cap and it makes it so much easier than giving multiple pills like that
Storm is so lucky to have been adopted by such caring parents! My heart goes out to them for the absolute love they have for this big guy. You did an amazing job with him!
Definitely not just time & money invested, & that's a lot all by itself! There's also so much love & care & that's magnificent!!! Hats off to the owners!!! As for you Vanessa you are a true Angel for dedicating your life & skills to these animals! You're a miracle worker & a saviour for all of them!!! An amazing person & professional, I admire you immensely!!!!💖 And I loved Storm!!!😍😍😍😍 For all his issues he's very... energetic!!!😁😁 And absolutely stunning!!!✨
His owners are special people that take the time to drive all that way to get help with his coat. Taking care of a dog with all these medical issues is not easy, and not inexpensive.
Considering his disabilites and grumpyness with grooming, he seems to have done a really good job! I'm sure his humans will be relieved to learn some skills to help him stay as clean and comfy as he can. I admire them for their commitment to this cute fluffy friend
Oh bless his heart. We would see these babies alot when I was a vet tech. Those with epilepsy and vestibular diseases and such. It's definitely a 'kid glove' situation when dealing with them. Thank you for your caring heart and patience while caring for him. You rock!❤
Thank you for caring for these pups. We lost our girl in September at 14 1/2 to sudden onset vestibular disease the vet believes was caused by a stroke or a brain tumor. I miss her so much.
My dog had vestibular disease. I thought she wasn't going to recover and almost put her down. She recovered a lot and gave me another year of love, but then it was getting bad again so I put her down because she wasn't leading a good life anymore. It was the scariest thing I experienced.

@@timmit-s4doh shut up. You wouldn’t say that about a baby or child now would you
@@timmit-s4d Your comment is unwarranted and improper.
@@timmit-s4d Should we put down disabled people too? You monster. Just cause he's disabled doesnt mean he's suffering.
Any owner who cares this much about their pet has no need to be criticized by anyone.
@@SevenEllen better yet rescue mongrels
@@SevenEllen i think the discussion around breeding is more complicated than that. working lines of dogs that strive for fewer health and behavioral issues are very important. service animals, livestock guardians, search and rescue, and the many other jobs that dogs can have are possible because of selective breeding and people ensuring that there are lines of dogs that can continue to work faithfully far into the future
i 100% agree with you about dogs like pugs. it's really unfortunate that so many people prefer a cute dog over a comfortable one. i hope the decline of backyard and unethical breeders will help decrease the number of dogs in rescues and everyone can be better off
Let me express as a veterinary nurse that these owners pay upwards of $500+ /PER MONTH to keep this baby alive and that alone is no easy thing.

@@anncook1436 thank you so much :) love and hugs for you, too - we all need each other ♡
It's not a matter of being "worth" the time, energy etc - a lot of disabled people can't "give back" much to the community. The real reason is all human beings have the right to certain things simply by being human. That is why we as a society should help disabled people whether or not they can do anything in return.
Poor Stormy got a raw deal in life with his medical issues. He's a handsome pup with a sweet nature. Such a good boy. 😊🥰
Yep his growling is his breed, he really did a good job.
@opheliamunroe1110
I totally agree with your statements. Many bad breeders and you must do your research or be prepared to care for the outcomes.
He got the golden ticket of a family though❤❤

Vanessa, you give the dogs, cats (and the occasional pig!) as well as their owners and your audience, an immeasurable gift. Give all the nay sayers the reply of the most loved dog in the world: Snoopy’s iconic “Bleah” raspberry.
I checked out one of her critic’s pages. He was literally seated at a gaming console in what appeared to be a basement 😂😂😂. No wonder he is threatened by her success.
I’ve listened to a couple episodes of the podcast and I’ve learned a ton, the kind of info that helps me keep my girl healthier and safer.

I must occasionally sing the song of my people.
He's beautiful!
I just love it when you wash their face. It’s so cute.
yess the bit at 6:09 it’s so cute his face!!!
@@Mr.Claws_ I just commented that too!
@@Mr.Claws_ That part made me crack up laughing! He's like an angry wooly mammoth!
What absolutely beautiful people. So many people give up for alot less! Theses owners got alot more than they were expecting and gave him the life he deserves
Getting all those tablets into Stormie is a miraculous feat! Breeders do have a lot to answer for! Stormie did get very crotchety and all that "snow". & your back?
Storm hit the jackpot with these humans. They fight for him and love him and do everything they can for him. They are to be praised and respected for how much they clearly love this big fluffy. I commend them.
I think there are moments in someone's life when they realize they were meant to be where they are. And this is a perfect example of that. Storm needed someone who is patient, kind, caring, and altogether loving to all animals to help take care of him, and that's what led him to you. A definite meant to be moment. Thank you for always showing such love and care to all the animals that enter your shop. The animals are not the only ones who appreciate it (much love from a very busy dog sitter 💛)
Seriously, the kind of people that can go to this kind of length to take care of a dog are the kind of people we need in the world because I don't want to imagine the cost of 23 pills in a day and long hour drive to meet the best groomer.
You made a snowball. 😊 So clean and fluffy.
He is a lovely dog! He's just standing up against something that is stressful for him, and I can't blame him a bit. We all get cranky when things are too hard for us. Well done, you took such good care of Storm and paid attention to his clues like you always do! Thank you for sharing.
As a disabled person I salute this woman for agreeing to groom this special needs dog. The transformation is mind blowing. Thanks Vanessa and staff at Girl With The Dogs, and thanks to the owners as well for making the long trip. You're all amazing. ****Last but not least, thanks to all RUclipsrs for the likes. You are equally amazing.****

The bills must be outrageous... poor baby.. he is SO LUCKY TO HAVE A GOOD PET PARENT WHO HASNT GIVEN UP ON HIM!! WE LOVE YOU STORM❤
The pup laying there at the door reminds me of a child waiting for Mommy to come pick them up😊
I think the owners deserve a huge thank you. Not many people would have continued caring for this beautiful dog once the health issues became apparent. I am grateful their are owners like them out there.
I'd love to hear more about his special house!
@@originofsky it was about four ft cubed, the front was hinged so we could completely open it because we had to put an armchair in it for him
He refused to sleep on the ground, only in chairs. So we put an oversized chair in it so he had a nice place to sleep. It was very nice and he loved his little palace.
He doesn't even look like the same dog! He looks so beautiful! Such a great groomer and great owners! And it is so satisfying when all that fur gets blown out. Thank you all for sharing!
As soon as we saw the first blow dry with the conditioner in I knew it was going to be a satisfying one.
Is Vanessa not the best groomer, as well as a wonderful human? Her concern for her four-legged clientele's well-being is truly heartwarming. Thank you to both Vanessa, and to Storm's caregivers/owners. You are all champions!
Love how not only do you care about the furbaby you are grooming but also the parents, giving back stories, and how much they love their pet. A channel for respect and love ❤
I love Storm & his Mom & Pop! I was going to mention how extraordinary they were to save this big man. The cost must be crippling & driving to Canada for help proves they are lovely. As for Storm, what a great love! He's never experienced grooming....awake. He did fabulously until the clippers came out & he was probably exhausted by then.
You are amazing, Vanessa! And incredibly strong....a true Tink - fierce, feisty & (in your case) witty as hell! 🧚♂️ ❤
Love and light to them and to you.
if an owner is willing to drive that far for their dog, it simply shows how much they love him and are dedicated to him ❤
It takes a special kind of soul to give so much to an animal like Stormy. Big man got dealt a bad hand in his life. Despite all the upset he was putting out. You can tell he is a loving and caring dog. Like you said average people would have had the dog put down. So that fact that he's still here is truly a blessing. We get to see this wonderful dog and to enjoy his presence.
He looks amazing
This is beautifully beyond just 'difficult dogs'. That you are taking on a disabled dog touches my heart. Bless you!
The owners are warriors!
@@norfolkngood8960 they are recommended for dogs with thick coats.
Their dedication and love is amazing.
@@norfolkngood8960with disabled dog of that size, a prong collar is almost required. If people use them right they are no different than any other collar.
@@norfolkngood8960 And of course, you know all about keeping an animal with medical issues safe and in control. You also don't know if they put that collar on him for the safety of Vanessa. Great conclusions!

They obviously love Stormy very much! Thank you for helping them to know how to groom him in the future.
You're joking. She's such a scaredy cat. The minute a dog starts continually growling to try to scare you, it works. This poor dog was driven all that way, and everyone knows he'll get matted again in no time. God, I hope this was at least free! Those poor owners were ripped off if not.
I'm not saying I know a solution for them, but thanking her was ridiculous. They could've gotten that level of demonstration from a how-to video by any groomer on YT.
@@mandymorrow5473A. the grooms are always free B. she needs to work within the dog’s boundaries in order to do her job without traumatizing the animal for future grooms, esp on a disabled animal C. what a rude and judgmental comment lol
@@mandymorrow5473Mandy you are such a Karen... if you don't have anything nice to say just keep quiet nobody wants or asked your opinion .... now try and have a good day!
@@mandymorrow5473 before you make an absolute fool of yourself on this page. You should find out a little about Vanessa. She doesn’t charge for these and she takes on animals like who are difficult to groom because of medical conditions past trauma, etc. She grooms animals that are up for adoption at shelters and does a lot of charity work with senior homeless animals… absolute ignorance.

Amaizing! Thanks to you & of course the owners!
He’s a beautiful snow fluff!❤
I think the owners are wonderful people. They obviously love their fur baby & treat him as a member of the family. I applaud them.
Storm was such a sweet boy even though he was a bit grumpy. You can tell that he is well loved and well taken care of by his people.
The partial transformation was from dog, to cloud, to half loaf. My heart goes out to the owners and their dedication, it’s hard handling an8mals with so many special needs and some pup as high maintenance as this baby deserves all the love.
Poor baby. Glad he has great parents. ❤❤❤
Storm looks too be a very well cared for, and well loved dog! Plus he'd an adorable marshmallow 🤍
I love the compassion you have for the pet parents who have to do the best they can with a dog who brings such a challenge to them. I love that you try to get your viewers to understand the circumstances before just firing off judgmental comments. People can play rough on the internet and I love that you try to keep your channel as safe a space as possible.
Wow. Considering all his health issues, he did an amazing job tolerating the groom. You showed a lot of patience and compassion for him. What good pup.
The owners are absolutely wonderful, as are you. They clearly love him dearly, and are doing the best they can for him within the constraints of his medical complications.
He's such a sweet boy with a great Temperament❤❤❤
Such a sweet floofy bear. Glad he has a good family to help him through all his issues.
My heart goes out to the dog and the owners and I think you did a fine job. Something that they may consider which is what I've had to do with my dog I buy the extra large gel caps and a thousand in a bag from Amazon and as a result I'm able to actually combine some of her pills into one gel cap and it makes it so much easier than giving multiple pills like that
He looks incredible!! Kudos to you and his parents.
My compliments to the owners and groomer. You’re all so committed to him and did your best. He looks better than when he came in.
Storm is so lucky to have been adopted by such caring parents! My heart goes out to them for the absolute love they have for this big guy. You did an amazing job with him!
The way laid down the first time ... So softly, so gracefully. What a wonderful boy. A big soft cloud/bear.
He looks great! Probably a LOT more comfortable without all those mats pulling on him. Great job, as always! ❤️
He is a beauty and you are an Angel. Thank you for doing the best you can for him. God Bless
I follow Storm on IG and was so happy to see that he managed to get an appointment with you - as always thank you Vanessa for being the kindest person with your words, attitude, and care for both the furbabies and pawrents ❤ people like you and Storm’s pawrents truly make the world a better place (and Storm too, of course!)
