Slight post-stabilization works nicely on my X-T3, some times the IBIS on the X-T4 would compensate too much and there's nothing I can do in post for that. So I hate taking my chances with IBIS unless it's really really good. I do like the curve feature on the X-T4 and the battery life, but I just carry a ton of batteries with me so that's not a problem. Thanks for the video!

Great comparison and review, well presented...I am privileged to own 4 x X-T3's and 2 x X-T4's. Fujifilm is an amazing proactive and forward-thinking company. For MF I use a couple of GFX50s's.

This was a fair and honest comparison, thanks!
My previous camera was Sony a6300. The image quality and autofocus were great, but I did not like the shaky, jittery footage and the need for a rig adding weight and stability. I wanted a more minimalist setup to produce gorgeous films, often times filming myself. That is why I wanted a 10-bit 4K60p camera with IBIS and flip screen, and the X-T4 was perfect for me. Now the rumour has it that the X-T3 will be discontinued soon. I believe Fujifilm will upgrade the X-T4 firmware with e.g. object tracking autofocus, so X-T4 could be more future-proof in that sense. Anyway, both cameras are great!

Lovely job again John. I have the H1,T3 & T4. I was lucky enough to be sent by FujiFilm to Kenya with a pre production T4 to film wildlife for the release video of the 4. I know it sounds odd, but for me the increased battery size alone would make me choose the T4. I appreciate everyone’s needs are different but I use my cameras professionally in harsh weather conditions so the extra battery life is invaluable. The T3 is still a great choice and I tend to use mine as. B camera. That said, my favourite body in my hand is the X-H1 with that amazing shutter button! Keep up the great work!

They all got the money let me buy XT4 lol
XT3 is a powerful camera and for new users it’s the best option. I noticed that when I did some iso comparison XT4 is a slight winner but no one will notice it till you zoom in. Battery and IBIS is the need I was looking for and XT4 brought it up to the table. I am a time laps shooters and using XT3 was not fulfilling my needs, battery would die in between 300 to 400 straight shots, I tried the USB powering technique but in extreme cold weather the power bank would get wet and stop working after. F-Log assist and dual card recording is another bonus for pros.
Anyhow for someone who use the camera for professional work, XT4 is a great choice otherwise XT3 is still a great camera.

Hi, nice video, you're honest about your choice to go for the XT4 which is great! I'm just about to buy my first Fuji camera and I'm torn between 2 main options,so maybe you could tell your opinion😇 Would you rather go for the XT3+16-55 f2.8 lense (save on the body, buying a better lense) or the XT4+16-80 kit lense (comes at a very good price, lesser good lense but coupled with the IBIS of the XT4). Given the fact I like shooting all day from morning till nighttime, would the XT3 not be limited as soon as the light conditions start to fade? Would the XT4 provide much better options when shooting under bad light situations because of IBIS? The 16-80 also gets good enough reviews to be a very good allround lense, perfect for hikes and days spent outdoors? Hope you might give some of your thoughts😎👍Cheers!

Ibis for professional video isn't good at all.. those systems produces an ugly microgitter making it bad for vfx or cgi addings... also in regular shoots that microgitter ruins very beautiful scenes.. and buying the xt4 for having ibis off for achieving professional video on external stabilizers doesn't justify the 1000 dollars more .. the flippy screen.. idk I have few cheaper cameras with these screens and to me it feels cheap and less professional than the tilting system on my xt3.. all that metal and brackets makes it feel very premium so.. I don't like that on the new one... I planned to keep my xt3 until the 5 or 6 model

      interesting stuff mentioned.
im testing the xt4 right now , here in my country the price difference between xt3 and xt4 is 220$ from a main store but it's a 4 hours drive to each direction to get there lol,
I dont know i think the tilt screen on xt3 is awesomn but the articulating on xt4 can be handy at times.
dont know, its a hard pick for me since they really are more similar than different..

I hear you JD, those are fair points. it might be worth waiting to decide for a full review but also you can always turn it off OR like you said just keep on the XT3! I always love hearing folks who are content with what they have not just itching at every upgrade!
