@@fellowcitizen haha nice find! I think you could spot a few more dozens 😅
Enjoyed your video. Yes, I would like to see more video on how to make videos.
Same here, me too! Thanks for great work!
Same here. Many more. I am only a beginner. Actually, I don’t have a camera yet but very soon. Just starting to learn early.
me too!
I have been watching RUclips videos on film making for years. This is the best beginner video I have ever seen. You explain things in a way that us neanderthals can grasp.
I finally understand the connection between frame rate and shutter speed - thank you Chris!
Your channel is the very best for learning FujiFilm techniques, tips and the added humor and enthusiasm are a bonus. Thanks for your efforts. I am sure these vids take much more time and thought than we can imagine. Thanks!
Please make more videos like this! I learned a lot! I recently brought an X-T30. I'll definitely try these tips 🙌
Please do add more videos. I have been making videos with a dedicated “big” camera and have recently started using my xt3 . I would love to learn how to set it up properly. I did a documentary last year, but winged it and it turned out superb. I do the odd wedding and football game and the difference in my health at the end of the day is remarkable.
yes! please make some more fuji video for those wanting to start using more features in our camera! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 greatly appreciated Chris
Looking forward to you coming back and keeping us up to date with Fuji tech
Dear Paul, your youtube videos are always interesting, lively and so very funny. You manage to convey complex notions with irony, grace and a lot of sympathy. I follow you with great pleasure from Italy and I am a great admirer of yours. The use of Fuji cameras for videos is very interesting ... I would like you to continue on this side as well as on all your advice relating to the settings of our beloved Fuji. A big hug from Italy. Antonio Eugenio Gambino -
I am amazed every time how mellow and full of information your videos are. I consider to be a experienced photographer but still learn from you each time... especially in the video realm.
Tom!!! Thanks pal!!!!
Greetings from Turkey. I am a fan of yours for quite some time now and you even gave me the courage to start my own photo channel quite recently. I am new in the video world and on a learning curve. I unfortunately sold my 18-55 long ago and aquired a few other lens for still. Would say that the 16-80 is a reliable lens for outdoor shooting on autofocus on xt4 or xs10 Thank you and God bless you my friend
No video comes close to help amateur video shooters than this one. Thank you so much
Joops!!! Thanks man!! I really appreciate the kind words!
Thanks! Appreciate the “keep it simple” approach. Can you put something together to address video focus, autofocus settings, zooming, etc. ? Thanks again.
Thank you and GREAT suggestion!!!!
pal2tech I was going to add the same request. The video autofocus seems mysterious. It seems like the two modes are Manual and Magic. I don’t know how it “thinks” or what to expect.
Great tips! Changing from videocam to xh2s for me it is very confusing, so much menu choices! This helps a lot! So tips like this for XH2S very welcome!
Chris, your video on shooting video has been very very helpful. The settings are keys to better video recording that you provide. You actually go into detail on what h264/265 & long GOP "are", than all the others on the same topics.
Chris, yes please make more videos on shooting on FujiFilm cameras. There are not enough video tip on shooting on FujiFilm cameras.
Your tutorials and videos are a god-send, love your style and ability to command attention as I easily get bored watching others!
Thanks for all these effort you show in videos and yes, send us more video please. Hi from Turkey by the way.
Intermediate users be yawning but we’ll watch to the end of the video because, I mean, it’s Chris Lee! 👌🏼
Hahaha, Vishal!!!! Thanks man, seriously, as sometimes I feel like I may bore the audience with some of the intro/beginner stuff. I was thinking about that a lot lately. I really appreciate hearing your feedback. Thank you! 🙏
Vishal - Maybe the word 'Beginners' in the title might confuse some Intermediate users.
Sir your videos and knowledge are really incredible and easy to understand and that helps me to understand many settings in my fujifilm xt3 that improve my video shooting skill and make me more knowledgeable about my camera thank you very much sir for these amazing knowledgeable videos really appreciate your efforts love from India
Well, well, Fast Friday was very fast this week Chris ! This is so helpful to me as I have never really shot video on my xt3 due to looking at the settings, scratching my head and putting it into the "too hard basket". Now all I have to do is watch this Vlog again, probably again and again, with a notebook and bingo I am shooting 4k video. I have an ND filter so you will not have to get mad with me ! Codex, compression etc etc can now go away I don't need them to confuse me anymore.
That's so awesome to hear Tony!!! Yeah, video is fun once you get over the initial steps of frame rates, compression, etc. And GOOD that you have an ND filter!!! Proud of you pal!! 👍
Thanks for your hints & tips not only here but all the other vidoes you make.
I find your tutorial style vey interesting and straight to the point.
Keep up the excellent work..
Wow that's awesome loved it..few days ago i bought Fujifilm camera but struggling to shoot. But your tips are very helpful to me as a beginner thank you so much.....
I've had my XT3 for over a year now. I rarely shoot videos and as such, I struggle with it. This will definitely help.
Fantastic video! Cleared so many basics that were hard to find with Google or on RUclips.
HI, I've been watching your videos for 4 days.I'm fully impressed by your knowledge, and the way of "selling". It's informative and not boring especially with your sense of humor. You really convinced me to leave Nikon APS-Cstable and buy FF xt3 waiting for delivery. So I'm new to this brand, but not to video. I love my old DV camera Canon XL-1 but I'm looking really strange using it :). Kudos for you and please, continue those awesome videos!
You have became my mentor. I learn a lot from you, thank you so much for all this effort ! Great content!
Yes, more video on video, please. Even if there is no fix, please bring attention to the exposure ramping issue. More attention brought to it, more likely Fuji will do something. Thanks again Chris for another great video. 👍
Yeah, I need to mention something about that. It's starting to bother me more and more.
The sharpness, color, crispness and cleanness of your videos is amazing! 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
The content is just as amazing and informative!
If I start shooting video for youtube, I'll aspire to do it as well as you!
Your videos have been so helpful in learning tips and tricks on how to use my XT-4. I'm new to videography and your guides have been amazing, so thank you!!
Hello, I switched to Fujifilm after watching most of your content, and I got XT-4 along with an 18-55mm lens. Since I do more videos than still, and as a new user, I have difficulty finding a video-friendly lens from FujiFilm native. Could you please talk about video lenses for the fuji camera or suggest some for me?
Yes, we definitely need more videos on shooting videos. The video settings on the XT4 are incredibly goopy! And most RUclips videos are far to complicated. This is the first video I have seen that finally explains why my XT4 videos are so choppy and “weird.” Thanks.
That's awesome!! Thank you so much for letting me know! 👍
Yes please! More videos on making videos with Fujifilm cameras
I really enjoy this guys videos... His ability to teach is superb.
yeah, he's ok. a little goofy but his dr. says if keeps taking his meds he'll be just fine.
These videos are far the best fo me. Just at the right level. Thanks a million for making and sharing. Is there a video about shooting for RUclips only with X-T4? Sorry to sound lazy but that would be REALLY useful!
More videos on using Fujifilm X-T3 and X-T4 cameras for video beginners, please. Thanks
Very good stuff you make. Love to hear and see your lessons....please more more more.
Your vids are so helpful
Thank you
Loved your video! Please more videos on video for X-T3/X-T4!!! Great job as always.
Please make more RUclipss on tips and techniques for shooting video with the X-T4. This video was great! Thanks.
Yes, definitely more videos please of shooting video on Fujifilm cameras
I like the fast and enthousiastic way you present. Learned a lot. Thnx. And yes I’m interested in shooting both stills and videos with X-T4 especially with 16-80, 50-140 and the teleconverter 1.4.
That's awesome!! Thank you so much for letting me know! 👍
Where were you when the XT-2 came out and I was struggling (my first video DSLR camera)! Excellent tips, would love to see more - and intermediate set of tips then and advanced maybe? Thanks. Big thumbs up!
Clear and very useful tips for fujifilm camera user 👌👍👍
Thank you for another great video! I was also thinking of choosing between H.264 or H.265!
Love this! Thank you for the great tips, I'm going to be putting these into practice straight away.
And yes.. please keep these videos coming in regards to shooting video.. I have the xh-1 and I hope that you can cover all the video aspects...
Excellent tips ....YES more videos settings for xt4
Thanks for the great content. Please do more about filming with the Fuji!
Thank you so much!! I definitely will. I do enjoy the video features and there are so many to cover!! Take care my friend...
You are legend for me, I learned too much from you! Now, it is time to practice what i learned. Thanks a lot!!
Thank you so much!! 🙏
You present information in such a clear and concise manner. Really, really good stuff. Thanks for this. I did learn something, and yes, please continue making content about Fujifilm video.
I'm getting the XT4 next week and I'm just starting out on RUclips. This is so useful! Thanks for posting this!!! I'll be watching again next week when I set up!!!
Well done! Great resource for beginner Fujifilm-makers.
Hi @pal2tech, as always, your video was incredibly insightful! I was wondering if you have any tutorials on event videography? If not, would you consider creating one? It would be really helpful!
Man, you are good! I am new to filming and the X-T4. I chose the Fujifilm for the colours and quality, but all the settings are a bit much to digest in the beginning. Hence, your videos are my goto for all things Fujifilm! THey are just short/long enough! Thanks a lot and I am very interested in seeing more videos on actually hands on filming for beginners and intermediate film makers. Keep up the good work! :-)
Wow man this was a awesome video and straight to the point. Thank you so much for this. Definitely helps. I’m a fan. Keep up the great content.
Hi Chris!...only if I had seen this video earlier... hummm my SS!!! Well, better late than ever and stoked with your videos, as usual. Big Yes!!! from me, to future videos.
Coincidently, one of my goals is to reach the same level with video as I did with photography in 2020... Cheers
Great video..please make more..I just bought my xt4 ..really helpful tips..thanks
Great and useful. Thank you very much for this Xt4 video series.
Really loved the video, hope to see more like this.
Thank you so much Stephen!!! I really appreciate the kind words. Yep, I have a new one coming out tomorrow (Tuesday). See ya then!
Thank you for these tips! I'm new to Fujifilm cameras.
Great video and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Chris!
Thank you very much for this video. Really helpful I look forward to seeing more videos on filming with the Xt3.
Thanks Arnold!! You got it!! 🙏
I do really like your videos .I hope you start it as episodes be sure to keep it symbol and easy to understand for the beginners like me 😘
Hi Yousef!!! Thank you and a GREAT suggestion! I love the 'episode' idea a lot. I'll come up with something for that and will definitely keep easy to understand, etc. All the best to you my friend!
Loved this video, love your humour. I will be buying Fuji X-T4 but I am totally new, so to speak, to this type of camera. Any chance you could do a video for dummies in the near future for this amazing camera, many thanks
Great video... Thanks. My X-E3 has a smal "Auto" switch, that turns the camera into a point and shoot camera. Great for holiday and family situations, where you dont want to tweek the camera, or when your wife is behind the camera for once. It is a sham that not all Fuji models has this. And btw is the X-E3 a great camera. I hope there will be a X-E4 soon.
Yes make more please. A lot of confusion here. Like setting up the Q menu for video.
Perfect timing for this video. I was just thinking of shooting video some time in the coming weeks with my X-T30 for a little project I have in mind.
EXCELLENT!!! Good luck with this and I know you'll get some amazing footage!!!!! 👍
This is great. I just started experimenting with shooting videos. This is so helpful. THANK YOU!
That's great news Wandy!!!!! Keep filming and you'll get some GREAT footage!!!!
Thank you for this video, a new camera user, my first camera is XT-4...a lot here. You helped me choose it. Mostly for video but excited to learn the camera. So yes do more of these! You see very good at this RUclips stuff!
Thank you so much for the nice words!!! You are going to get some GREAT shots/video with your X-T4!!!!
I think I learned more from this video about video than the rest of the 100s of hours I've watched on youtube
3:55 "You're kinda screwed." LOL.
I really enjoy your videos - great topics and easy to follow/understand! Thank you!
Hi Chris. What a great enlightening video - loved it! Yes please do some more tutorials on how to film using the Fuji system. Thank you very much for taking the time to put this great tutorial together 👏👏👏👍👍👍
Thanks! This is exactly what I needed. I’m planning to video myself playing to a number of different tunes on the drums. These tips will get me started on my new X-T4. I also have the “kit“ lens that you mentioned. I’m not sure if you have already done so, but could you have a video about taping personal music videos for online auditions, lessons, or personal use. That is to say, folks who want to video themselves playing musical instruments such as the drums. I have electronic drums, so I can feed the audio directly into the camera. However, many folks have to mic their acoustic instruments, so that might be a challenge for them. Thanks again!
Thanks David! Great suggestion and good luck with your shoot. I used to play drums when I was a kid and LOVED them!
Great video! Love this guy! I learn so much but even better: he always makes me smile!
Yes, I’m just starting out and so far so good. It’s a way different deal than shoot with your iPhone, but actually pretty cool. Thanks!
I subscribed to your channel.I started following you.you are a really teacher. grazie
Great tips! glad to know I was on the right track at least. I would also love to see more advanced tips on xt3 video!
Hey make more videos about videos on the XT4 camera. Love you videos, thank you for teaching me how to use my camera
So glad you did this. I've been shooting with Fujifilm gear since 2015, but exclusively still photos. This is a very timely tutorial for me, because I have been wanting to experiment with video. These tips are perfect for me. I would love some more. I mostly shoot photos with MF using back button, so I would be interested in focus and metering settings. Note: I shoot X-T2 and X-T20, and don't plan to upgrade in the near future. I do own the 18-55mm, so that's good.
Excellent Michael!!! Glad to hear that and yeah, I'd love to make more of these!!
Superb video with lots of information. Please can you do a video on good microphones - how to set them up, record and post-process? Many thanks!
Thank you! Beginning Fuji video shooter here and appreciate this very much.
You are most welcome Pat!!! Keep up the great work and welcome to the crazy Fuji family!!!!
Thanks a lot for this video! I have a xt-100, and my videos suck, I need to put these tips into work ASAP!!!!
thank you very much! you are the best and the kindest bloger ever
Thank you so much!!! Very kind of you to say my friend!
Many thanks !!! Oui je veux bien d'autres vidéos concernant le film sur X-T3 -T4 please !!!
I shoot with an XT3 you're content is so helpful.
Yes please, I would like to see more on shooting videos (X-T3)
ditto thanks
Video idea for you. Show us your workflow on recording audio while talking to the camera and show us what you do in post. I would love to see your settings in final cut. P.S your audio sounds fantastic. Better than most RUclips channels.
Thanks Johnny!!!! Great to see ya hear again pal!!! Yeah, I'll do something about audio for sure. LOL, someone just commented that the audio on my Viltrox 23mm video was out of sync... and they are CORRECT!!! I still have a lot to learn about audio myself, but I'll be happy to share what I know. I hope you are doing well!!
Yes, I would like more videos about making videos with the XT3.
Great video as always! Thank you buddy! I'd like to learn more about video myself, so any tips you can share would be very helpful...
Learning my X -T3 with your great instruction. I noticed your California plate. Are you here in CA or have you been one of the many and said Hasta la vista , baby? All video tips are greatly appreciated.
Please make more videos like this to help us!
Thank you so much!!! This is extremely helpful! 💕🙏🏻
Your videos ROCK! So educational. Thankyou !
Great video about video! Yes, pun intended.
I think a very important tip you probably might have already covered in another video is to make sure IBIS is on.
Yes. Would like to see more on taking videos with fujifilm
Yes please, we need more of your incredible tips !
On it!
Thank you for yet another awesome and interesting video! Yes, please make more videos on filming videos. It would be nice to have something instructional on how to actually do instructional videos. Thinking of having the camera filming too down on a white table. Just a little request 😁✅
Great video for beginners like myself. Now, what about one on video editing using simple software for beginners?
Yes! yes, yes, yes, yes we want more videos on making videos!! I'm new to filmmaking in general so my question might sound too basic..., but in my XT4 I can only record for small bouts of time (why??), I know filmmakers usually connect the camera directly to a computer? Could you elaborate on this, and in general on the shooting process in that sense? Thank you for your awesome videos!!
