Very nice Singapore Hawker. So good I want to eat everything! BIG LIKE!
Thank you so much 😃
Wow, what a difference two years made. Visited Singapore in June 2019 and stayed at a hotel on Balastier Road for 25 nights. Had evening meals mainly at the Whampoa Food centre most evenings. Cannot recognise most of the stalls in the video. My favourite stall at the time was the one selling offals set in gelatine. Thank you for providing a lovely clear video.
There’s 2 food centres at Whampoa actually.. this mainly operates in the morning while the other serves more of the lunch to evening crowds. Could it be you visited the other one on the right? 😄 that ones bigger with a Center aisle
Great! I' m becoming hungry now!
Hey Uli! Nice to have you in the house 👋
Woow
Hello Harry 👋
I like the hand made noodles, the business was damn good!!!🍜😋👍
Nice guy.. very respectful and caring.. man man lai..
All look delicious! Btw, that drink at 12:52, I thought at first those were sliced beef on the top… 😜😂🤣
😹 sliced beef 🥩 soda 🥤
Haha I realised you very like to film fried fritters stall
I miss this place. Many good stuff.. Also nearby in Block 90 also many good stuff.
Yeah...I think 90 has more lunch to dinner stalls
Should try the kway chap. Very traditional
自家製麵條🍝,看起來很美味。
哦,是的……我喜欢这些手工面条 😋
@ Piggypuggy......oops, no great weekend for us here as we're in a snap lockdown until Tuesday...ugh!
So many great eats at Whampoa Food Centre. For my Fish Soup Fix, I usually head to Hong Lim Complex Food Centre......fish fillet with bitter gourd soup 😋👍
Ahh, that was a special cool drink, indeed....lucky you, bro and courtesy from drink stall owner. 😎
"545" always remind me of his daughter's stall @ Tekka Food Centre.....awesome prawn noodles 👌👍🤩
And that "singlet" was also my ah kong's favourite.....cool and comfortable, thanks to Pagoda 👍
Take care while moving amidst crowded places, bro & stay safe.
Hahaha.. Pagoda brand.. whicks away the sweat! And yes.. that bitter gourd fish soup. I just went by last week. Still popular as ever. I think I also have to stop for a while.. SG lately just got incredibly jialat.. better monitor first 😞
@@Piggypuggy
Yes bro, better to be safe than sorry. The Virus has become highly transmissible. Stay blessed and 😎 huh.......
A great video with so many good variety stalls in this hawker center. Thanks for showing a healthy vegetarian stall, it is always nice to hear that they are popular and doing well. Kudos to those who eat vegetarian! Freshly made noodles at a hawker stall is almost unheard of. Wonder how much it cost to invest in that heavy duty noodle machine. Impressive noodles! Used to eat those big fish ball noodles when I was a teenager, always one of my favorites. Proud of you Puggy for preserving these pioneer hawkers before they retire. It is really hard work and they deserve our respect and appreciation. Good for you. 👍👏😁
I was mesmerised by that giant pasta machine 😄 such beautiful looking noodles churning out from it. Many time after I’ve done the filming and editing and watching my own videos.. I feel like goin back there to relax and have a bowl myself 😂
Best Lu Mian In Town is a die die must try! Beach Road Fish Head Bee Hoon 美芝路鱼头米粉 also worthy queuing!🤤
I actually am a very lazy bugger.. never queue for food unless someone else offers 😂 now.. maybe I’ll line up laa..
Looks very tasty - Greetings from Denmark 🙏
Hej Hej! Mange Tak 😃
Super duper missing Singapore 😢😢😢
Hi frm indonesia 🙋
Really hope the pandemic will over soon . So i can travelling again to SG.
Yes.. hope it’s over soon 😊
Yes, I' m too
Stay safe guys. Take care and may God always bless us 🙏🙏🙏
@@elsfng3617 Be carful. Watch covidtruths co uk
Did you guys got vacined already?
Look like all the hawker centres are back to normal now!! I still can’t get over how the food in Singapore is so cheap 👍🏻. Considering that SG is pretty much a metropolitan city!
We just had another lockdown.. hope the government will provide as much assistance to Hawkers who are making ends meet
@@Piggypuggy yes it must have been so tough for all the small vendors. Things have gone from bad to worst 😢
Support hawker food! 💪🏼
Sweet 😎
Morning! Piggypuggy 😀
Mat Noh Chicken Rice is famous at Whampoa. The crispy chicken and the sambal hmmm! Marvelous 😋👍
But now they're closed for 1month .
Yesss.. why ah? 😕 1mth?
@@Piggypuggy his wife is sick and doctor advice must have a good rest ..Mat Noh is related to my hubby
@@mahanimasjuki2048 Hopes she gets well soon! Take care.
hello Piggypuggy, my Mum just found out about your youtube channel, and she is totally addicted to it, she love your steady hands (as in not shaky and the camera move too fast), camera-works and the high res videos, not to mention the contents are great too, especially when you tell us what food are they making and the price, well done and keep up with the great work.
She is also wondering how come you have not uploaded a video for a long time? is it because of covid and everything is shut?
Hello.. thanks for your kind words 😊 I try to avoid as much camera shake in post production as I couldn’t watch my own previous videos 😂 and yes.. if you’re residing in SG.. we’re in rather bad situation since last weeks outbreak. I’m also doing my part to curb the spread since the community cases have risen sharply. Maybe I’ll do a walk around next week.. and if possible.. a shorter focus on the stalls available. As for the last few days.. situation seems bleak. I also felt bad filming when there’s hardly any customers and need to be sensitive.. given the situation. Thank you for supporting this little channel 😋
@@Piggypuggy my Mum and I believe your channel will gets big, we have been liking every single one of your video. We are actually from Australia, and we hope you and your family take care over there.
I miss my annual trips to Australia 🇦🇺 and Japan 🇯🇵 do keep safe too and may we get to visit each other again. Thanks always for your support 🥰
Omg i work nearby😁
Aren't you a lucky gal then! Great lunch for you every work day 😂
Thanks to you, I am feeling good and healing, Please keep up the good video
If you have time, please visit Singapore as well~🌼🌼🌼
Have a nice day & Keep Connected^^😀😀😀
Thanks 😊 you Korean living in Singapore?
All the food stalls at Hawker look delicious. Especially the fried fish. I prefer boneless. 😀
Sad that Pandemic has caused a lot of small business closing down. Hopefully the Hawker stall owner will survive the lockdown.
I also laid low for almost 2 weeks now.. the 2nd wave of lockdown with no dine in will surely cause some less popular stalls to fold and call it quits. But government has plans to start treating cases as norm.. even allow travel come September.. 😁✌🏼
@@Piggypuggy Stay safe my friend!
We were in our 3rd lockdown not too long ago. It started to open up slowly last month. And now shops are opening and we are allowed to dine indoor with limited capacity.
Have a lovely meal there! Hopefully alfresco by the sea or lake 😊😊😊
@@Piggypuggy Thanks!
油条很universal,但是配油条的汤类真的是各地都有自己的特色
更重要的是..我总是要求新鲜油炸的。鲜脆可口 😬
Hii do you remember if Boss Jeffreys drink stall was in the afternoon or morning market? And whats the name ?
Morning market.. block 92. Can’t rem the name. But the video has it.
Looks delicious 👍
Yeah.. one popular hawker centre this is
ahaha! i opened this video n my hubs who's lying next to me immediately went "wooooooh!!! yuh char kway!" hahaha he loves it too! well done lah. Your channel is really on steroids, so happy for u piggypugz! woah ive never seen that black sauce being laid on the noodles before... . that orange peel drink is so interesting ive never seen that before!
Uii.. learn to make him mini yu char kway laa.. film it 🤩
@@Piggypuggy eee dont want. Deep Frying stuff at home is really not my jam!! thats why life must happen near hawken centres otherwise will be v sad.
😂 jiak jiu hor.. Mai Keh Kiang.. 😋 stay safe! And happy ventures ahead 😎
Can someone tell me this hawker food centre is it near to Whampoa Mrt stn?
Umm.. Singapore has no Whampoa MRT. Hong Kong has a Whampoa MTR. Nearest station would be Boon Keng MRT
Nearest MRT station to the Whampoa hawker centre should be Novena actually.
@@richmondang1591 oh thank you 😊 I forgot about Novena
Eh, I realise you upload quite a few of your videos during night time, very bad leh, cause people to drool at night.. Hahaha..
By the way, what's the sweet sour drink called? Looked appetizing to have during the meal.
KF Seetoh calls it Orange Peel sour plum drink.. i think it's those salted orange peel.. it's alot leh.. one cup plus he tops it up with another 2 cups of ice water.. no wonder i couldn't get my usual kopi peng. but it's damn nice and refreshing.. just $1.50 (post at night so you'll be hungry to cheong tomorrow morning mah.. 😝 )
@@Piggypuggy I like this kind of drinks. very nice combination with heaty food or zhi char. Hawker and coffee shops are probably my options for now, cause still waiting for 2nd jab, so have to watch your videos for ideas what to eat when dine out.
@@jasminechia85 me too! And I just found it so amusing.. first time I see hawker stall drinks can top up 🤪 reminds me of some kinda bar where alcohol is topped up as you drink
Hey this market and hawker centre is now closed cos of positive Covid-19 cases isn’t? And with so many hawker centres affected I guess there will be no hawker centre food tour video from you 😌
Absolutely right.. I’m also staying Low coz the number of cases been hovering around 180 per day.. anywhere is a potential cluster now.. so trying my best to lower the numbers by staying home. It was lucky I didn’t film Hong Lim the other day..
@@Piggypuggy yes true its better that way. Do you need to go for mandatory test? Cos you visited 5 days ago right? Hope all is well with you 🙏🏽
Yeah.. monitoring myself just to be responsible. But if I’ve been close to any confirmed cases.. the government will call as the trace together app would have been triggered
@@Piggypuggy Yea.. I read on news all those affected will receive SMS to go for mandatory testing and its legal. Take care! Hope to see your food tour video real soon!
Chong Pang market at AMK there also entirely closed. Where you residing now? Are you still in SG? Stay safe friend 😊
Hello
Hi Hi 👋🏼
Too bad, you did not capture the long lived curry rice, fish ball noodles (long queues and continued by 2nd generation), mee Siam, steam fry bee hoon and deep fried carrots cakes. All operating in the morning.
😅 gotta go at 7am next time
in Urdu Makan meaning House. What is Makan meaning in Malay/Chinese?
Malay means eat 😋
有发现你很少拍马来食物跟印度食物的影片,是因为你不喜欢吃吗?
I loovveee Nasi Briyani.. 🤤
fish head bee hoon no more... prawn me no prawns.. hokkien mee with meat only... limited seafood for now.
😖😣😅
wah the oil is so black.....dont think I gonna to buy from the stall.
Hahaha... no commercial outfit is going to have very clean looking oil "ALL THE TIME" If you saw clean oil its probably just changed. Come back 1 hour later and look at it. Can't change oil every hour. Best fry it yourself, sure no black oil.
/
Go back to 2 paxs dining....sian.
What to do.. i can't believe which Einstein allowed an army of overstayed hostess to stay and even for those special activities to operate
@@Piggypuggy Yeah.... Pity the hawkers. The UnESCO Hawkers award is useless.
@@gotmyonu1027 I think some of the elderly ones already retired coz of Covid. Their kids already grown up.. they’re just doin this coz they don’t know what else to do at home. But the last year caused them to lose money until buay tahan.. so better to just sit at home

The youtiao is only 70cents! Most other markets selling 80cents!
Serangoon Gardens $1.00 😅
