    Good morning to all 😊
    Indeed at first sight of the title.. it has definitely stirred some emotions. I was referencing from the internet where you would see this estate is commonly stigmatized with the term. My goal here is to show all of you what I saw here.. and there was nothing but the OPPOSITE.. the hawkers we RICH at HEART.. warm. Kind and caring towards the elderly residents. I thereby thank you for your attention and support for this estate with your kind hearts. 🥰
    This channel is to promote the lives of our dear hawkers who have dedicated their lives to making SINGAPORE a truly gastronomical country to live in. Its aim is to preserve what's left because I was truly disappointed about us earning the INTERNATIONAL HERITAGE AWARD and yet many of them are quietly fading away day by day. I want to encapsulate this sunset moment for many so that our future generations might remember.
    I wish you all to
    Live well and Enjoy food 😊🥰

      Hello. In this case, it would be kind of u if u amend and give a title that this video deserves. Thank u.

      No doubt i know the aunties n uncles there are great folks since i live there. But even if the internet labels this neighbourhood as such, there's no need for u to follow blindly. This is very disrespecful to all residents living there including the aunties and uncles at the food centre.
      As a youtuber and a social media influencer, there should be better thought to how u present your videos to everyone n this means the whole package from the content, how you film it, the title and captions etc.
      It would be much appreciated if you make revisions to your video title regardless.

    • @dextertan4870

      Stop ur pretending.. guess u must be very happy when u saw more comments on the video… “stop” pretending… what is unacceptable is that you took the video of them pretending like a “food blogger” and helping them to promote.. yet u put purposely put the such a disrespectful title … shame on u

      Class act Piggy. Being able to step back and respond constructively to criticism while still standing your ground says a lot about your character.

    • @eloralitxii8807
      @eloralitxii8807 2 года назад

      One can eat like a pig, but one should not act like a pig.
      And one is a real class act when one knows their mistakes and have the courage to make amends and not hide behind the keyboard. Name calling the under privileged is not something that we should advocate or rejoices in it.. So if Piggy keeps his ground and standby the title, yes, it tells me his true character. Someone that do not know how to respect others.
      Of course Piggy can choose to keep the title, I will simply avoid and block this channel.

    Thanks for sharing your videos. But I don't think Poorest Estate Hawker, is a fair way to describe the hawker centre and its estate. The place is clean and comfortable. Poorest suggests otherwise and I am sure the residents will not appreciate it.

      Most of the flats around vicinity are rental units.

    • @markjones2781
      @markjones2781 2 года назад +6

      TH,
      There are many places in the world where the people are relatively poor (as in low assets and income) but, nevertheless, most live out dignified, rewarding and positive lives. Most of the residents of Jalan Kukoh seem to fit this bill. In contrast, many of the 'homeless' people of places like the US and the UK have relatively high incomes, but through all sorts of reasons -- drug addiction, mental health, simply being degenerates -- live out appalling lives that are nasty, mean, brutish and short.
      Poor doesn't necessarily mean bad. It is much more complex than that.
      As for Piggy's video, what a fantastic insight into the lives of Singapore's less privileged!

      @@markjones2781 I couldn't agree more with your most level headed analysis. Seems like there's alot of fragile ego people here or those with an altered sense of righteousness. Fact is just to qualify to be able to rent subsidized "rental" flat is $1500 for combined income of all household members. Poor means poor, just accept it. But does not mean bad. I know a lot of happy poor people who are very kind and gracious and shockingly more generous and open to helping others compared to the "rich" ones. The kind people will offer some help or empathize. The muddled headed and those with elevated self worth will feel insulted.

    Next, I have been to this hawker center for years since I’m a kid.. The kway stall, I would like to give a negative rating to them. No matter how early you go, they will always be “sold out”. A matter of fact, due to rental is much cheaper than renting a factory. Authourity should look into this. Definition of hawker and central kitchen is different. They are house in a hawker center but preparing food for pre order and pick up between 5am-7am. Rest of the time, preparing food for the next day. Aint this a central kitchen setting?

    30:07 he was saying 薄利多销! it means earning by selling more with small profit only, cos a lot of old folks might not be able to pay for it if the price is set too high, thanks @Piggypuggy for the video!

      😅 thanks for helping me out.. I understoof him saying he's keeping prices low for the elderly to afford having his soup.. so I guessed he's saying he's keeping the margin low. Thanks Don!

    I didn't know that the poorest estate is so near the Singapore River! Was expecting houses near to extreme ends of Singapore.

      @melvinch Год назад

      Just across the road next to Singapore River lived the rich people. The stark contrast is very apparent when you see a main road dividing the affluent and the underprivileged.

    poorest as in no money poor or structure/cleanliness poor? from the price of food I wouldn't say poorest. still normal usual hawker price

    Hello , we would appreciate if you could edit your title for this clip - just because the hawker centre is situated at this area , you 敢敢named this as the poorest estate hawker centre ?? Pretty insensitive ….
    Btw, what is your standard of “ poorest “ huh??

    Haiya for those ppl labelling this area 'poor', some people just prefer staying at rental flat for a reason they have. Not because they're poor. Maybe they are low income but most of the time the people I meet from rental houses are more friendlier kinder and warmer at heart hehe. Base on personal experience and also currently staying at rental housing for the mean time. Not nice for people to label them that way. Thank you for sharing with us this video 👍 really enjoy your videos.

      Holders remains indecisive if this is a continuous uptrend and wether btc would hit it's all time high in mid march as predicted by analysts or if this little uptrend is a trick to a new fallout in bitcoin prices. More the less, now is the perfect time to start trading your coins. I’m not bothered because I’ve made over 16 btc
