oohh damn

I want praise your parent, they have brought you up with such a positive out look on life. You are like kaya toast to starving viewers.
THANK YOU FOR LOVING SINGAPORE MIKE! THANK YOU for not going to the tourist traps, and instead introduced all those food that we locals love! Also THANK YOU for getting all the food match-making right!
Mike learns fast indeed. He lives to eat, remember?
It sounds like he asks locals for advice. More tourists should do that.
He went to Lau Pa Sat and Chomp Chomp earlier. So I guess you could say he did introduce some tourist traps. Still not too bad though.
I did LOVE singapore, what a beautiful city full of awesome people! I will be back :-)
i must find one weekend follow his breakfast itinerary
All throughout the video , im wondering how you could eat this much and still feel a little hungry. How I wish I have that superpower
But you would have to spend more money...
I don't think he ate everything alone
Ain't we all
Just be a fatass
If you slurp the eggs straight from the plate, the Singapore government automatically makes you an honorary Singaporean.
HAHAHAH IKR!
yea slurp it ! i like with a steam meat bun then kaya toasts that will be perfect oh dont forget coffee(mix)
Just how i slurp my pussies.
Klinsen Soh you're supposed to eat the egg on its own
Klinsen Soh trUe
As a singaporean, im sorry on behalf of the guy who shouted at you and told you to leave. Thats not a way a singaporean should act towards foreigners visiting singapore. So i am very very sorry mike. i hope u like it here in singapore😊✌
FIFA Syarzawan ....for all I know, that guy who shouted may not even be Singaporean as service providers in our eateries are now mostly foreign workers. Some of the service rendered can be truly atrocious.
Adeline Gan lol dont try and defend a Singaporean if you're just gonna throw a foreign worker under the bus---it ain't cute b
Our hawkers are pretty scared about being filmed due to fears that it may be sabotage by competitors or that you are working undercover for the AVA. :D Even I, as a local, was once stopped near an eatery while photographing the neighbourhood, and he asked me am I from the AVA! ;)
where is the part when he is shouted????
That was not entirely the bus driver's fault. The guy was drunk and dropped his pants. The lady on board the bus that was monitoring the people entering asked him to leave. He then stumbled off the bus and fell and the rest is history. Both parties are to blame, if you think about it.
I think to myself - it's late, I'm just gonna watch the thing, no eating... Then, not 5 minutes into the video I am munching on a bag of salted peanuts, with a chocolate bar sitting on the side just in case...
w-who are you?! how do you know me??
I watch it and think I have the munchies, what can I have? I have food allergies and there's so much I see on RUclips I want to try, but I can't. The eggs are doing nothing for me, can just about stomach them, but snotty and so runny no way.
almost 4am in singapore here
Sweet Peas n
Apollo 440 I'm also eating
That Prata establishment that chased mike away just made the biggest mistake of their life...
I live in that area (Yio Chu Kang/Jalan Kayu) and there are 4 famous prata restaurants here. Out of these 4, there's one that used to be the best (but is now the worst among the 4) and is famously proud of that fact. I have seen their employees scold customers so I imagine that's the one Mike went to. It's a good thing because these days, their prata is a small, ghee-soaked and pale version of the original.
intrinsical ayy Sg ! I live in Bedok resevoir😂
Care to reveal the name of the establishment so I can avoid this place next time I head down for prata? heh
But luckily Mike didn't let that spoil his day and ended up at Casuarina. That Prata champion in the kitchen is hilarious! I love the banana or onion prata at this place!
intrinsical do you mean Jalan Kayu Prata? i head that one was famous but the size of the prata decreased over the years and price also increase
I could watch you review food alllll day. From your facial expressions, your vivid description of what you're eating to the production is fantastic. Keep it up!
3:12 That guy in the back got us
LOL I just realize that. 😂
get this man a coat
Ah fckk he got mw
FINALLY! A video about singapore food done by a foreigner that doesn't make a local cringe :) good job!
Natural and honest description. I still don't believe this dude is hungry after a number of dishes 😱
I agree!!! Finally a video that hits all the hidden foodie gems!
He's also correct that the Lor Mee needs one hour wait(not exaggeration at all)
HE EATS SO MUCH

Hobbits' meal of the first 1/2 day:

Mike's meal of the first 1/2 day:
Breakfast - 7 AM
Second breakfast - 8 AM
Third breakfast - 9 AM
Fourth breakfast - 10 AM
Fifth breakfast - 11 AM
Lunch - Noon
This guy bring hobbits to shame.
And he's taller, too!
He's one of the tallest hobbits we've seen in Singapore. :-)
And 4th breakfast is only at 10 because he had to queue for an hour. Otherwise it would be at 9:15.
I was thinking that as he went to the 4th breakfast...lol Go Mike!
IMO Singapore has the best food in the whole world! And I have travelled a lot, lived in Europe and in America now, but originally from Malaysia. I miss Singapore so much, my family lives there! Whenever I am back there, I seriously am ready for a few kilos weight gain! But all worth it!
Tôi rất thích việc giữ vệ sinh môi trường của Singapore, nó rất tuyệt vời
I grew up in Singapore and miss the food so so much. I love Roti Prata. So so good. Favourite snack/ meal after school was Roti Prata and a small bowl of curry sauce.
Seeing how much u like our Singaporean food is so cool.
Mike, your unique combination of channels is like no one else's in the Tubesphere. Food, travel, conspiracies and world mysteries. It's like some of the dishes you eat. Seems a bit strange at first, but always worth coming back for more. 😁
Sensei noticed me! 😺
Mikey reminds me of the hobbits. " What about second breakfast?"
jrh0369 YAS A LOTR FANNN
That was 5 all in all though. Lol.
jrh0369 oh i misread it. At first i thought u said "mike reminds me of hobbits." i almost got offended there. Almost...
love your descriptions and facial expressions. glad you love singapore :)
Ever seen Mark Weins?
Trending! Gitittt🙌🏼
omg u watch him too!?
I'm a simple man. I see a video uploaded by Mike, I click.
Jamie Eveler So you smash when other RUclips's upload?
You are so incredibly fun to watch! So entertaining so open to all kinds of food and so optimistic!!! Also, your ability to eat a lot is astounding!!
Nasi lemak brought over by Nonyas? I'm pure Nonya but I dont recall my late Nonya gran cooking this dish. I have always recalled it being a Malay dish. And that potato thingie in the nasi lemak is "begedil".
I agree :)
I thought it was malay too. so confused when he said it was nonya lol
He is referring to that particular stall which named Mount Faber Nasi Lemak. It is a "Chinese" style nasi lemak. Not the original Malay style Nasi Lemak. Tsk!
Windsor Lim chinese style nasi lemak is very popular in singapore though
This was actually much more entertaining that I thought it would be.
Who ever handles you music edits/ sounteck is a beautiful amazing person. Great picks and brilliant edit
Sucks you got yelled at but plus side is you got to eat the food from the place you ended at.
yea haha blessing in disguise
Sabrina when was the yelling part?
LOL the guy in the background checking out the girls from 11:50-11:52

You must be kidding me !! Did you really ate all this in one morning !!!
You're extremely naive if you think so.
dago you're extremely naive if you don't think so
@@dagowow you're the uninformed one here. Mike is known for his appetite.
@The Stammering Dunce its a well known fact he travels with a companion most of the time thats holding his camera. And sometimes he ask a random person to hold his camera for him.
@The Stammering Dunce he mentioned it once..atleast. i have not watch all of his vids. But seen most of them. And he mentioned it once. Casually. He says something like asking strangers to film him when he is not travelling with somebody.
In Indonesia will Call it Nasi Uduk (similiar Nasi lemak from Malaysia) and another one that delicious is Nasi Kuning. You must tried ....
You can bring some Kaya spread back. It is readily available in almost any convenience store :)
InfernoBeer Sambal chilli too!
Hey Mike, your videos just kept getting better and better! I can vouch as a Singaporean that you're 100% on point when describing why/how certain dishes are so delicious unlike some other RUclipsrs who just kept moaning, nodding away and fail to communicate to the viewers. You are the real deal!
I enjoy your narrative with each dish! Also...You seem to be very kind, I like that quality in people.
It all looks so good! I love that everyone is an "auntie", "uncle" or "grandma" in the Asian culture. Keep up the good work of eatin'
I love how Mike is doing Singaporean food right. As a Singaporean, I'm very happy for him ✌🏻
Found Strictly Dumpling for the food, subscribed for the personality! Love the videos Mikeyy! Love from the UK!
Thanks for subscribing!
Peranakans (male: Baba, female: Nyonya) (土生华人) are the descendants of Chinese Fujian migrants in the Malaysian region who have mixed with the local Malay population. They identify as Chinese and still hold on strongly to their Chinese roots in terms of culture.
They're not a special indigenous race that brought foods over. They're Chinese people that applied Chinese cooking techniques on local southeast Asian ingredients.
Edit: In any case, Nasi Lemak is a food of native Malay ethnic origin. That's a further error there. The Peranakans may have their unique take on it (such as the Nasi Lemak was linked to Nyonya in this video), but its historical origins should lie with the Malay ethnicity.
BTW, big fan. Keep these videos coming please. :)
Carrot cake isn't radish that's been cooked till it's mushy and soft. It's basically shredded radish made into a steamed cake with added flour. The radish is just for flavour.
I really respect the heritage Peranakans have in SEA, however nasi lemak was not invented by them. Sure, there are many dishes the Peranakans made popular throughout SEA, nasi lemak just isn't one of them. That's a dish born out of the Malays and SEA, whatever cultures that might be ✌🏼
Nasi Lemak is definitely a Malay food. They are clever to cook rice with coconut milk and the Chilli sambal is perfect marriage to it. Definitely not Peranakan, folks.
@Fadzlina Majid @Adeline Gan thanks for the corrections. I merely followed up on his Nyonya link without thought. A quick google search has shown that you are likely to be right. Original post has been edited.
Khinwee Pang thank you so much for clarifying!! Appreciate it a lot. And yes, nasi lemak is a Malay dish :)
Prata for breakfast, Is a must for me 😂
Muhammad Haziq same bro
When i was younger, we used to put pandan on steamed rice and it makes it more fragrant.
Anyway, the best mee goreng is in kovan :) im also obsessed with the curred tofu in serangoon
Love it breadfast in. Singapore I,v eat there and coffee to go with the. Beautiful food thank you for sharing very good healthy food .

Yep, that's Singapore.
timebernerz that’s a little racist
@@desynk5798 nah it the truth tho
@@desynk5798 How is this racist? Singapore is constantly improving it's infrastructure. That's a defination of a world class city.
Amen brother
Travis Lim bruh how?
I love how accurate you were with all these! Especially with how you ate each item and how nasi lemak has a few basic items, everything else can be customised to how you'll like it! Lor mee is something most people forget about so thank you for featuring it! Glad to know you've enjoy our local food as much as we do!
@Strictly Dumpling Mike your videos were my survival guide when visiting Singapore! THANK YOU
3:10 what the hell was explaining the sir in the back? lol
Mike I'm telling you you should try Arabic/Lebanese cuisin after This trip in Singapore!!!
VaHagn Gt He will be dining at the Aloha Snack bar Soon!
I woke the whole house up laughing. Made my day!
Is your comment edited because Lebanese auto-corrected to lesbian
VaHagn Gt I am a Mexican Chicagoan and all I ever wish to be is middle eastern! 😢 next life?
lebanese food is the og
I never liked Lor Mee until I ate the one at Old Airport Road. Usual for me is $6 bowl with cut chilli but without vinegar. I can find a few Prata places where I wouldn't mind eating but none for Lor Mee. It's that good and unique.
Mickel Tee ...their selling point is using real fresh fried fish chunks and the slurry gravy is nicely balanced with spices and soy sauce. I have been eating their Lor Mee since 25 years ago and $2 can get me a substantial bowl with plenty of fish meat. To think now you have to pay up to $6.
Adeline Gan no argument there :) yes they increased over the years. 2 years ago a $5 bowl for breakfast could last me till dinner. Same portion increased $1 since then. The ladies - their memory power la. Take advance orders and never get them wrong 👍
Mickel Tee what the..any place selling lor mee is usually $4
DevilluTionisT gri Yes they start from $4....
Mikey you can eat!🤤🤤 I wanna eat too but here I am munching on veggies stick 😞😖 wish we had smellivision.
Thank you for including the addresses of your amazing food stops. It really helps with planning! So far I have your spots in Singapore. Jakarta, Dubai, London and Lisbon on my list starting in January. Oh and Disney in November 😂
Mikey you managed to try ALL my favourite breakfasts! I'm a Singaporean studying abroad that's missing local food now more than ever 😂😭
Frankly though, Old Airport road is sufficient because they have so many stores!
Go get some chwee kueh!!!!!!!!!!!!
the best ones r from tiong bahru!! x
I spent a couple weeks in Singapore when I was younger. Loved the place and the people. I hope one day I can revisit it. Thanks for the nostalgia :D
I never knew anyone who can tell a story about nasi lemak like this guy. I guess it isn't just some nasi lemak, for him it's like an orchestra.
Yay! Casuarina curry! Very delicious prata I must say :) I enjoyed eating there as well
lor mee... oh god im on a diet
cream kookie Jin would eat it
cream kookie You cannot eat kookie together with a cup of Tae and inside it is Some suga cube xD (Only Bts stand knows)
cream kookie what is lor me?
Golden Maknea Abs all during tae time
Haha you missed one awesome combination: Prata add curry + SUGAR. Party in the mouth. - Singaporean here
Jeremy Chan
Right!if I saw him I would have told him that too.
Now u make me crave for some...
Nowadays, virtually never saw anyone eating prata topped with sugar.
Jeremy Chan no wonder once in a blue moon I am given sugar with my prata.
I even add sambal + sugar on prata then dip in curry. awesomeness!
Michelle Tham yes I was served sambal at times with my prata
Nasi Lemak is a Malay dish and means 'Coconut Rice'. Malays are native to Singapore and Malaysia. Malay food is wonderful. Singapore is truly a food paradise.
Uh what, malays were in singapore even before stamford raffles (we ain't native m9 lmao)
please don't forget us Bruneians when talking about Malays
I love to watch your youtube channel because it makes me feels like i am watching AFC or Nat Geo People on my phone. Hihihi.... Hello from Indonesia!!!
I'm watching you devour these delicacies, and I'm over here eating a peanut butter sandwich 😩😭FML!
your breakfast is more than my two days meals 😂
Thank you for sharing these amazing foods with the world dude, you rock!
The best thing for breakfast, at least back in 2006, was the roti prata that was hand made everyday in the hawker stall across from Farrer Road. Every Saturday we used to go get some and wait in the line, watching that man flipping the eggs into roti. Yesssssss!
You can really eat. My goodness. So much for breakfast but I enjoy watching you eat. Makes me hungry.
Such awesome videos 👍 keep it up
Hey mike, the Essence of nasi lemak is actually the rice and sambal.
Don't forget the anchovies.
I only eat the peanuts and sambal.
MrPopcorn .-. Your poop must be peanutty and your sphincter must have melted a while ago.
leo ll dude what is ur problem 😂😂😂
for me, nasi lemak is all about the egg, the cucumber and the sambal. runny yolk and good sambal, one of the best thing on earth, then dip the cucumber in that sambal, one of the best salad.
I've been told by people who have visited most of Asia,
Singapore is the cleanest city in Asia, ✅
Clean, Awesome and Innovative place it is
Almost too clean.....
Yup! It possibly is! Actually their government has strict rules against littering and some heavy fines, and the citizens themselves care about not littering too
Coming from a Singaporean here, I would say that Japan is MUCH cleaner. Singapore is getting dirtier nowadays.
Misty Violet, Republican. Yeah.. if you get caught littering they literally whip you.
I'm a Singaporean who's overseas and your video is making me so hungry and homesick! :)
As a Singaporean, I FULLY RECOMMEND EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO ESPECIALLY THE LOR MEE! The hour long wait is DEFFO worth the wait!
Love from Singapore! If possible you should totally take the short trip into Malaysia as well, their food is just as incredible!
Fals3Agent. That is well said...both countries got their own good food👍👍
Roti is pronounced like "row tee"
Nope. It's "raw tee".
No. Lor di.
^ you're either old or you have brain damage
I agree it's row tee or low ti with the R you'll have to roll your tongue. So it's not what ever you was saying.
โรตี if you spell it in English , it'll always be wrong.
YAAAASSS FINALLY A MALAY FOOD! (Nasi lemak) 😍😍😍 You should try it at an authentic Malay stall next time!!!
Nadz A. Yeah I second that! Adam Road market!
Ohh yes!! Delicious nasi lemak 😋
Ever tried chinese nasi lemak. The rice is just plain rice. Maybe the shop stingy on the coconut milk or maybe into healthy living. But honestly nasi lemak is not nasi lemak without the 'santan' (coconut milk).
my first ever video i have seen from this guy and the thing that i like most about him is that he has such a good additude
There is the ikan bilis , roasted peanuts, fried egg, chicken wing and the fragrant coconut rice with an otha
What about the cucumber!
There are cucumber here
Anyone here from Singapore?
Incognito Pi? Meh
Me
👋🇸🇬
Hi
Me
He makes me feel happy that i live in singapore to enjoy all these food.
And I apologize for the person who shouted at you to leave
Nasi Lemak literally translates to Rice Fat :) Glad you enjoyed Singapore breakfast! My favourite is carrot cake, try it next time!
best food is food in the military
I was heading to bed & then I started watching this. I couldn't handle under cooked eggs. Everything else looks excellent!
Nasi Lemak is also great with a side of Rendang Daging or Rendang Ayam.
While all that food looks delicious.... How do you eat all that???? 😂
Kim Mozingo his colon uses a laser to break down food.
He's like Yuka Kinoshita
leo ll 😂
Over breakfast, tea break, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper
Stomach worms makes people skinny. In some Asian cities, over half of people have stomach worms
From certain angles you look just like a young Jackie Chan
Marshal Monsanto he's cast as a young inspector lee for rush hour 4
-,' RED ',- are you for real or jk?
Marshal Monsanto no. Im jk. Haha
-,' RED ',- I honestly couldn't tell lol
Marshal Monsanto that's what I was thinking 😂

Dude.. I'm watching this 1.39am in the morning Singapore time.. and dude!!! U just make me hungry again!
Huge respect on mikey eating in public and not caring about people staring and looking at him weirdly 😅
would you like that potato pancake (perkedel) recipe??
Omg Mike, u didn't have kopi for breakfast? Especially at Ya Kun? Oh the horror!
Towkeeyoh, Mikey doesn't like coffee.
well he had teh-c which is good too
teh-c ping ...
15:23 topless cowboy incoming
Mike, this was an another awesome food vlog!
Thank you so much !
You made me wanna go there and re-do everything you did!
I don't know why but I LIKE YOU ! YOU'RE A GREAT PRESENTER !
I enjoyed this episode so much. You are simply amazing, Mike!
Mike you have to try black carrot cake with chili, it works really well with the sweetness! Maybe then you'll like black carrot cake more than white :D
Yes, with lots and lots of chili (always have to remind hawkers to put in lots of lots of chili for my food).
you hit the singaporean trending tab, good job! normally i dont get attracted to this type of content but its nice to see content covering local things in general where the presenter / host isnt paid and doesn't make me want to cringe straight past my skull and into the next room :)
1. Kaya toast and half boil egg
2. Nasi lamak and otah
3. Roti prata and tissue prata
4. Lu mian
Personally i prefer 2 as lunch and 3 as desert as they are kinda oily and heavy for breakfast
But people do eat them as breakfast.
Mikey Chan that's why ya kun kaya toast is my no 1 place i always go to for breakfast or lunch it is so yummy and cheap & it keeps me full for good .
