Jade Green Tara pendant? Check? Furry purse? Dancing shoes? Knapsack? Iced Kachung? Fuzzy hair clip? Housewares? Yup. It's this weird magical place and worth the visit.

    Visited this place for the first time after your video, went on 2nd May mid afternoon, was rather quite and thankfully found the fried porridge, my wife loves it and will eat this any day! Also realise there are few Beer Counters, seems the night there will be rather happening....laid back atmosphere for beers and fried snacks. Quite a few authentic Korean restaurants there. After that went to Clementi (also after your review) but did not manage to get the curry puff (my kind of snack). Saw the Chinese speaking aunty shop but was too full to indulge in anymore food. Thank you for your videos and as like you, more please... never enough lol

    Hello again. I certainly have never heard of this place, especially with a name like "Beauty World" to be associated with food. Never expect this place to have so much variety, impressive. It is really amazing to be able to get so many different kinds of fresh noodles in hawker centers. I take noodles over rice anytime. Interesting, white and black CKT, first ever, just like black and white chai tau kueh. Whoa, never heard of fried porridge and that hawker's wok fire is insane!
    Love that chendol, my all time favorite!🤣 That curry chicken noodle looks delicious...Look at all the yummy kuehs, pastries and tarts, yes, this will be a go-to place to buy CNY goodies. Another good one Piggy Puggy...thanks for the entertainment and for all your efforts.👍😁👏

      Hello Liz 😃 how have you been? Yes.. this place was also very remote to me to me. It has a very old school shopping mall feel. I lived near Tiong Bahru area as a kid and never had any need to go that far out to bukit timah unless I needed to get to the causeway at woodlands. I loved how remote most places were most places were back then.. can still smell the farmlands.. the animal waste and burning rubbish 😂 now.. sadly it's all a controlled piece of concrete jungle. Haha.. enough of me reminiscing the past.. I hope you make a mean Chendol for friends and family over there 😋 not sure if you can get Atap Chee though..

Most of the other hawkers would use lard which is pork. So in Singapore.. certain Hawkers have a high concentration of halal stalls like in Ayer Rajah.. Adam road hawker. Geylang Serai.. Eunos.

      @@Piggypuggy It was all very "ulu". Tengah felt very remote and journeys from there to the city could take over an hour. Beautyworld was a collection of stalls covered by a huge corrugated tin roof and was anything but beautiful! Bukit Timah hill was bare of vegetation and really stood out, and the Bukit Timah road flooded regularly. There was a small village close to RAF Tengah called Bulim which has now disappeared, Most of the traffic on Chua Chu Kang Rd was funeral processions to the cemetaries or vehicles going to and from RAF Tengah, most people used pick-up taxis to get to Bukit Panjang where buses were available. Yeah.. TOP ONE was having a rest day when I was there.. wasted.. but sometimes popular stalls can be hard to capture as spaces are tight and not when they’re operating at maximum capacity 😅 as for the Bak Chor Mee.. that’s the beauty.. every hawker has some super special items that will make us hunt for it. Thanks for watching 😄

    Went there recently and ordered the Char Kway Tiao. $4, tiny portion, auntie attitude damn bad. Long wait and the taste was just average.

    the skepticism if the food is really Penang worthy at the beginning 😂😂 Can't get enough of that Char Kway Teow...so good!!!
    LOL at the comment "this guy must love campfire" out of nowhere 😂Some hawkers owner, especially the older gentlemen, they do get grumpy sometimes haha It's hot in there so it's also understandable.

      Haha.. I always had to check the authenticity whenever one calls themselves "Penang" 😄 annoying Piggypuggy..
      The old timer hawkers tend to be more reserved.. doesn't like to be disturbed.. 1min is the max you'll get from them.😅 CKT said there's nothing much to film.. what's there to film? Piggypuggy quickly made his exit 😂
      Would have wanted a plate of the wait wasn't that long.. smokey goodness

    this hawker centre has great food too bad the place is infested with pigeons. once a pigeon pooped on my backpack. it's a real turn off to have pigeons walking and flying all over the place.

    • @Piggypuggy
      @Piggypuggy  2 года назад

      Is that right? I didn't see any pigeons that day.. I only noticed that many of our govt run hawkers these days have bird nettings all around the hawker perimeters. I think it works to some extent. But not perfect either 😅

      @@Piggypuggy hmm maybe the situation is better like you said with the netting now or all the birds starved to death during covid as no dine in was allowed. it was really bad couple of years back, there was no net and the birds were all over the place
