The Olympus 40-150, although cheap, is pretty terrific. Lots of primes to play with: the 12, 14, 15, 17, 20, 25, 45 & 85. 20mm is a little slow to autofocus (but not much) and looks wonderful. 25 f1.4 is also superb.
Nice man! I just got one of these as well and I really love it. You should try out option 2 for the grainy film art filter, I think it's really underrated. Nice video.
I've had the E-PL7 since 2014. It is my carry. To keep it small its lenses are the Lumix PZ14-42 and the PZ45-175. The VF4 EVF is probably an essential accessory, as is the little flash that should come with the camera. No it cannot do everything. I have newer, bigger and better MFT for that, but within its capabilities it is quite capable of matching image quality with say, PEN-F and G9. And it is perfectly capable of producing good jpeg, you're not forced to shoot raw. It only has 3-axis IBIS but that is perfectly capable of steadying smaller lenses. Hence the can of tonic water size PZ45-175 as it is not adept with anything much bigger and heavier. It's a small camera, it likes small lenses. It is quite sophisticated, all the necessary functions are in there, you just have to poke a button to bring them up to alter parameters.
The EVF is something I wish I had managed to buy while I owned the camera! It was the only thing, in opinion, that the camera was really missing! Thanks for the great comment!
I just received an epl7 today in the mail together with a vf-3, 14-42 ii r lens, the flash, small tripod, extra battery and a olympus bag for around 150$. I feel like I made a good deal. Seems like an awesome camera even though I havent had chance to test it properly yet. Only downside is you cant use the evf and flash at the same time. The antiglare screenprotector sounds interesting, gotta check that out😊
That sounds awesome, that's a great deal! I really wish I had got the EVF, couldn't find one anywhere and it was the only thing the camera was missing in my opinion! I'd definitely get the anti glare protector, it's so cheap but makes a great difference 😊 enjoy the camera and thanks for watching!
@@stephenfphotography thanks for making the video! Yes I really like having a viewfinder. What do you think of the camera now that you been shooting with for a while?
I actually sold it recently, just needed to cut my camera collection down a little bit and get some money to upgrade my main camera 😂 I really enjoyed shooting with it though it, in the time I owned it 👍🏼
I recently bought a EPL7 to carry as an everyday shooter. (Used from MPB in mint condition and less than 100 shutter actuations) I have several other m4/3 bodies and they haven’t been out of the house since the purchase. I have bought a used evf though which cost more than the camera! I was struggling with the screen with reflections in bright light. Paired with the Olympus 17mm f1.8 it’s a cracking street setup.
Yeah I love it! I haven't got an EVF yet but I did get an anti glare screen protector which has made a massive difference! I'm looking to get a wider lens and a much longer lens soon!
Your RAW photos are looking much better than the edited ones.
great video - looking forward for more with the Olympus Pen E-PL7
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this, I just started following you. Lovely photographs and the video looked good.
Thank you ☺️

Yeah I need to invest a few more lenses for this!

Thanks man! I'll have to give it a try!
Hi I’m also going to start photography do you recommend me this camera or Fuji xe2
Hey! There are pros to both cameras but I would choose the Fuji Xe2, it has a bigger sensor, a viewfinder and some great lens choices!

Have a Pen f and a Ep 5. Difficult to justify the EP 7.
Note, EPL7 and EP7 are different
