Nice Video, i really like your Reviews on those older Models. I like buying older, well made cameras (or electronics in general) as well, rahter than buying modern but cheaply made ones for the same price. Yesterday i gave my Father the Samsung Wb 100 i got him a while ago and tomorrow we are going to test it out a little bit. The first pictures i took looked pretty decent i think, but i dont know much about photography at all tbh. And i like how easy it is to handle, since its literally just point and shoot and the menu is super tiny. My Father is pretty old, so the camera had to be really, really easy to use. The screen attached to the camera is pretty shitty, espcially in bright light. But for the price i got it for (60 Euros) its pretty decent i think. I saw other offers for that camera online, being even as low as 30 Euros.

Brighton pier looks so much calmer than how I remembered! I went there the summer after lockdown and it was so so packed, I assumed that’s how it was all the time lol

A very nice camera, the problems is the jpegs which are HORRIBLE, you need to shoot raw with, but then you get VERY nice images in daylight. For me one of the issues is the extremely low megapixel count.. With a bit of cropping youre quickly down to 5-6 megapixel which is not that fun if you are going to print A4 size and upwards. I would rather recommend the J3 or the J4 instead, which have 14mp and 18mp sensors. Same issue with the jpegs on those sadly, so its raw only on those as well.

I paid £350 from an airport for one of these when they came out 😂 or 😢 ❤❤ £20 is more my kind of price! 3 successful semi pro photos in around 100 shots (with the cannon) and 30 successful out of 300 with an iPhone 15 pro. Technology…. You done the canon proud and it’s still half decent today. That zoom is still good compared to a lot of zoom lenses. New subscriber ❤

I think I will get a VI or VII for the extra zoom. Crazy prices for an old camera, but nothing else on the market and with the noise reduction AI the shadow noise can be dealt with easily these days.

Used to love my G9. I'd put the time lapse feature to use from time to time back in the day as it was convenient with the auto rendering. Was great for outdoors but it was always terrible in low light situations such as just about anything indoors. I'd convert most of the indoor shots to B & W to make the shots look like some old black and white film version. Great camera though and others really liked it too. Friend of mine bought a G10 and my sister picked up the G11.

Great photos Stephen the zoom is very impressive.

I love mine. I got a V1 for $10 at goodwill, came with 2 lenses. The viewfinder sensor was dirty, making the screen inoperable. After cleaning it the camera worked perfectly. I have a couple videos on my channel shooting with it. Thanks for your overview of the camera!
