Awesome detailed review. I have owned the X3s for almost 6 months. I love the new X4s colorways and based on your reviews I am quite tempted to upgrading to the x4s. I came from the Metcon 8s. I couldn't walk around with those without having heel discomfort, even when used solely for Gym.I found that with the Nanos I have been able to do short cardio sessions as well as squating and deadlifs at the same time I can wear them to go out casually to the store or run errands without discomfort. The versatility of the Nanos has definitely captured me. I will upgrade soon😅. Those 2 colorways look amazing. I like to look good at the gym. Thanks for the Video cheers
Ayy, you're welcome! Honestly, I wouldn't rush if the Nano X3s are still going strong. More colorways will drop and sales will eventually come for these!
I've been enjoying my X4's so far this past week, which have been a huge improvement over the No Bull trainers I've been wearing the last year. My squats/cleans feel much more stable. Also thankful to have a shoe that I can use for runs during the WODs. The No Bulls were just painful for any short runs. For sizing, I had to order a half size up for my wide feet - so just a FYI. Had to deal with returning my first pair after trying to order true to size. Otherwise, happy with my purchase.
Stoked you've been enjoying them! And these do fit odd regarding snugness, right? It's funny because their length is virtually similar to the X3s. I feel like wider feet should just play it safe out of the gate and go up a half-size.
IMO...I'd search around for X2s on sale and get another pair. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Then when you can't find X2s anymore, cross that bridge as it comes!

Thanks Jake; I took your recommendation and bought the Nano x2 which worked well for my 2E width feet. If the X4 is getting narrower I might just stock up the last discounted x2s (50 USD) in my local outlet.
I am so glad you said that the white colorway felt snugger. I got the "panda" color white / black and i got a 9 because thats what i got for nano x3. they did feel snug on the top of the foot, but not necessarily the toe box.

Currently in Nano X2s which I love for their versatility and durability, but after 1.5 years they’re showing some wear and I was thinking of upgrading. I did feel they’re a smidge wide/slip on the heel (not enough to size up, but enough that I don’t always feel 100% locked down while lifting). By the sounds of your review, I think I might like the X4 fit even better 🤞

Due to having long femurs and poor-ish ankle mobility I'm wanting to try raised heel squat shoes for powerlifting. Im broke as heck rn though so do you have a recomendation for under 110 usd? Adidas powerlifts seem like the obvious choice but I have mid to wide feet and you said they fit narrow, and also will the eva compress under 400-ish lbs (my squat)? thank you
Hey Jake, love your reviews!! Do you think you could spare a pair of RAD One's that you could cut in half?! Would love to see that!! Just got my first pair, i really enjoy them but definetly a heavier shoe conpared to my metcons and nanos!
Last year I purchased nano x2 at 50% at the end of february. This year there's hardly any X3 available at all, and certainly not at 50%. Do you think there is still a X3 shipment coming in to Europe or has the X3 just sold better than the X2 and they're now sold out?
Great question - and tough to say. I do know the X3 has been one of the highest selling Nanos if not the best. I’m also wondering if they maybe had less made to avoid a huge overflow of inv this yesr
Hey dude, great reviews! After watching several of your videos I think I've decided on the x4s but I do all my workouts outside, in the Scottish weather (Cross training). Do you think the durability of these will suffice, especially short runs on a muddy track/burpees in mud etc. Or do you have any other recommendations?
Hey Jake. Great video. Very informative. Quick question for you: I wear customized orthodics for my shoes because my feet overpronate. I have medium width feet but am worried about the shoes not being the best fit since you mentioned it doesn't work for those with flat feet. Can I wear my customized orthodics with the Nano X4 and be comfortable? Also, some people mention that I should size up. I normally wear size 12 in Brooks, Nike, and Reebok (weightlifter). Will customized orthodics work with Nano X4 for me? Would really appreciate any insight from you and/or the community. Thank you!
I'd give them a try and go through Reebok if you do. They're usually pretty good with returns in the event you need to exchange them. Also, in your case since you'll be using your own orthotic going to a 12.5 could be a safe call to give you a little more room!
Sorry, but just one more question: So I wear orthodics with Brooks and Nike with both shoes sized 12. You're saying go with size 12.5 for Nano X4, or should I go with size 12 using orthodics? Sorry for so many questions... But you're the man!@@thatfitfriend
They might charge more for the extra cost in that translucent looking multi-color outsole. How would you compare these to Adidas Dropset 2 Trainers? I'm contemplating between them right now and would like to know what you feel are the differences between the two.

Thanks for the review, Jake! I'm new to the channel, so I appreciate the in-depth review and comparisons. Question, I have 2E feet with low arches, and bought the Nano X2 in 10.5 (D width, no 2E was manufactured) in January 2023. I do CrossFit (nothing heavy at the moment as I started a few months ago) and some dance classes in them (and one 5k a year lol), so they suit my needs. The X2 was sold as a men's shoe, and I was told if you have wide feet, then this would be fine, turns out that was correct. The X4, however, is marketed as a unisex shoe, and you and others mention both a narrower toe box and a shorter length. For an upgrade, would you recommend the Nano X4 in size 11 in this case - would they fit about the same as my current 10.5 X2?
@@thatfitfriend thanks for the quick response! I like the Nanos and thought sticking with them would be good, but they're the first I've owned, so I am absolutely open to other recs!

Eh, you don’t want your toe box wicked snug. Want enough room to spread toes but not so much to where you’re sliding around. I’d go X3, it’s fits a bit wider
Out of the box my white and gum X4s were quite snug in the toe box and on the first workout I felt some pain after one hour on the outside of one foot. Wondering if I should give it a few more sessions to break in? My X2s in comparison fit super well out of the box. Any thoughts?
@@thatfitfriend will do. I also plan on trying all the different brands at The Games this year. Not sure what will cost more…Games tickets for 5 days or my shoe/ Apparel charges.
I need a shoe for Padel Tennis with a wide toe box and some shock absortion. Could the Reebok Nano 2.0 work for Padel Tennis? Or what could you recommend?
Ehhh, the cuts in the forefoot with the exposed can be problematic. I'd look into something like the Reign 6 or Born Primitive Savage 1 (feels similar to Nano 2 and I've used them for A LOT of pickleball)!
This was my favorite gym shoe. Sadly they messed you up the x3. I got the same size but the toebox was like an additional inch longer. I dont know how a multi million dollar company messes up a product that badly. Hopefully they corrected it this year.
The most similar fitting shoe I've ever tried is the APL TechLoom Tracer, but I wouldn't recommend them unless you can find them for a steep deal. Other than that, the Mizuno TS 01 is kinndddd of similar.
Altra Solstice XT 2, Topo Athletic ST 5, and Born Primitive Savage 1 can be good options. They should give you enough width to not aggravate what's going on!

The X4, however, is marketed as a unisex shoe, and you and others mention both a narrower toe box and a shorter length. For an upgrade, would you recommend the Nano X4 in size 11 in this case - would they fit about the same as my current 10.5 X2?
11 would be the move if you want to stick with the Nano shoe line.
Open to other models?
Thank you for checking out the channel!
@@thatfitfriend thanks for the quick response! I like the Nanos and thought sticking with them would be good, but they're the first I've owned, so I am absolutely open to other recs!
@@thatfitfriend Tried the X4s in size 11, quite narrow and a smidge longer than expected. Will return, thanks for your help, though! Looking forward to more reviews on your channel!
I felt like x4 is quite snug on toebox but i havent owned any crossfit shoes before. Do u recommend tht for crossfit the toe box should be snug??
If i have an option would u rec x3 or x4 more? Thank you❤️
Eh, you don’t want your toe box wicked snug. Want enough room to spread toes but not so much to where you’re sliding around.
I’d go X3, it’s fits a bit wider
@ thank you❤️
Out of the box my white and gum X4s were quite snug in the toe box and on the first workout I felt some pain after one hour on the outside of one foot. Wondering if I should give it a few more sessions to break in? My X2s in comparison fit super well out of the box. Any thoughts?
They def run narrower than the X2, hot take, I’d return them and grab a pair of X2’s on sale from Amazon etc.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
So what shoe would you recommend for people with flat wide feet? Was looking into buying this, but now I don't know what to get.
Born Primitive Savage 1! Have a review on them!
@@thatfitfriend Thanks! I'll give it a watch
Hopefully the arch breaks in after several workouts. My only real complaint up to this point with the x4
It should a bit depending how much you’re feeling it - keep me posted
@@thatfitfriend The Nano 2.0 is a bit long, is it the same with Born Primi? Half size down?
How are these compared to the Goruck Ballistic Trainers?
Performance wise, Nano X4 is more versatile.
Stability wise, both are comparable.
Fit wise, GORUCK has a more spacious upper and less aggressive arch.
what's your reccomendation for training shoes for flat feet people?
Born Primitive Savage 1 or VIKTOS Core Gym! Have reviews on them :)
These shoes are also good for those who have flat feet., right?
@@hychri ehhh, hit or miss. The arch can be off putting in these for some. I’d pass on em if you need more width/don’t like arch.
Jake. For crossfit, nano x4 or dropset 3?
Dropset 3
Thanks a Lot 😊

do you think Lakai shoes is good for crossfit?
Depends on the model, honestly. Can be okay - but they wouldn't by my first pick if that's a main ask
This was my favorite gym shoe. Sadly they messed you up the x3. I got the same size but the toebox was like an additional inch longer. I dont know how a multi million dollar company messes up a product that badly. Hopefully they corrected it this year.
I think you'll find the Nano X4 to fit more true in that context!
@@thatfitfriend Thats what I’m hoping! I will give it another shot soon
@@blaisebanko3487 keep me posted!
it’s very heavy shoes for doing speed work.
Any shoes out there similar to Metcon 4?
The most similar fitting shoe I've ever tried is the APL TechLoom Tracer, but I wouldn't recommend them unless you can find them for a steep deal.
Other than that, the Mizuno TS 01 is kinndddd of similar.
do you have any recommendation for people with bunions?
Altra Solstice XT 2, Topo Athletic ST 5, and Born Primitive Savage 1 can be good options. They should give you enough width to not aggravate what's going on!
@@thatfitfriend Thaaanks!!
@@lestarrri lmk what you go with/if you need further help!
Can u do feel grounds
I have some old Feelgrounds reviews on the channel!
They look cool but way too expensive
Industry norm becoming $150 is rough
Thats the norm. But if you want cheap $70 shoes that wont last and be uncomfortable, go for it. You get what you pay for.
@@blaisebanko3487 buy once, cry once. Learned this the hard way especially with truck mods
Some things are worth the extra money, 150$ for gym shoes aren't one of them
@@Marco-cl9pb to each their own, homie! We all have the stuff we’re willing to spend more on. I feel you
You can expect to pay less because Reebok sales…😂
Big facts, I sleuth for the coupons 😂 it’s never the colorways I want they work for; tho
:)
Which would you recommend for HIIT and some lifting. X4 or the new Dropset 3
Nyimak bang..
