Legendary Singer Bono Family: Wife, Kids, Siblings, Parents

A frontman, a musician, and one of the founders of a famous Irish rock-band U2, Paul Hewson more known as Bono, was born in Dublin, in 1960. Along with the group, he has got 22 Grammy Awards. As he is a socially conscious person, he always tries to create meaningful songs with certain context, raising awareness of different issues. Even though he is a busy person, who works a lot on his career, he still managed to build a happy family.
Bono’s mother, Iris died at a fairly young age from brain haemorrhage. At that time, Paul was only 14 so, it was very hard for him to deal with such a big loss. Because of this, he also couldn’t decide what he wanted to do the most: to live a life of a rock’n’roll musician or lead a simple way of life, believing in God as his mother did.
The father, Brendan worked at a post office all his life and after the death of a wife, was raising kids on his own. He died at 75 from cancer but will always be remembered due to a song U2 created in his honor. Brendan had a very nice voice and saw the same talent in his son.
The internationally known musician has an elder brother, Norman. The brothers share a special tight bond and are always there for each other, supporting and motivating. He works as a chef in one of the restaurants.
In spite of thousands of female fans, Bono has been happily married to one woman only, Alison Hewson since 1982 and up till present moment. They knew each other for a very long time and even after almost 4 decades of living together, they still enjoy each other’s company. According to Alison, their marriage works because they chase goals together. Of course, at some point, they had own ups and downs and Bono even wanted a divorce. However, he didn’t do that and as he claimed in one of the interviews, he is now the happiest man in the entire world.
The couple’s first kid, Jordan was welcomed to the world in 1989. She is a social activist who has founded Speakable that promotes social activism. She is also a tech-entrepreneur.
The second child, Memphis was born two years later. She worked hard to become an actress, as the parents were against her acting career and she didn’t want to use father’s connections to be promoted quickly in the show-business. She was featured in Robin Hood, Bridge of Spies, and other famous movies.
Alijah is the third kid and the first son in a family. Like his father, he created a rock’n’roll band Inhaler, where he is a frontman.
John is the youngest child, who is now a rock singer of the band Red Skulls.
