I remember when mine ride was a big deal, only 4 coasters at the park! We ran 5 trains on mine ride, timing was crucial! And when it rained it took forever to dry off the slide brakes on the track. And one slow entering or exiting guest (we called them animals then) could cause a block set up that would stop trains on both lifts and the brakes right before final helix! What fun working at cp in the 70s was!
@@fearfulclan2007 no, it isn't. roller coasters are classified by the track it runs on, not the supports, which is also why SV is considered steel. you can look at RCDB if you don't believe me
Corkscrew and the Mine Train are classic family coasters. However, Wicked Twister shouldn't be taken down. I am thinking about taking an emergency trip from St. Louis to Cedar Point in the coming weeks because of this. i haven't been to CP since 04.
We went on the both the Corkscrew and Mine Ride last month. Corkscrew was SO painful to ride. All of us - kids and adults - felt like we had headaches after.
No offense taken. Honestly, I do agree that Wicked Twister should have stayed. I also think this back breaker should be demolished, with a newer, bigger, or slightly better coaster be installed on the land and surrounding swamps this mine ride is on.

I already went on it 2, maybe 3 weeks ago and it was pretty painful.
lean with it and you'll be fine.
Good morning 😃

As is the case in most wooden rollercoasters, no rolls or loops are incorporated in this ride. Just a bumpy ride. Rated E- everyone.
this is actually a steel roller coaster
@@griffinbrooks616 no it's not. It's a wooden coaster.

It's a hybrid
I hope they don't get rid of this ride.
This is the 2nd and (no offense) worst Rollercoaster i have ever been on
No offense, but instead of Wicked Twister closing forever, I wish it was this or Corkscrew instead.

I haven't ridden all of the roller coasters at Cedar Point, one of them being Wicked Twister. I went there for the first time ever a few weeks ago.

because every ride has to be 900 feet tall.

Last time I rode I had my hands up as a joke and the cart jerked and I hit my side on the cart lol, but it wasn’t that hard and I was fine
