  • THE BEAST!! I won't be able to give this one enough praise. The coaster opened in 1979 as the tallest, fastest, and longest wooden roller coaster in the world. I was 2 years old when it opened. I received a VHS video tape that had this coaster on it. I literally wore out that VHS tape. At 47, I finally got my first real ride. Kings Island has done an amazing job at keeping this historical roller coaster up to date and running well. The operators are wonderful. THE BEAST is a beautiful piece of art. I LOVE IT. Kings Island is a theme park that has a great balance between rides and theme. It has a great kid zone and some big-o thrill rides. It has really good food and nice entertainment. Fireworks and drone shows are present many of the nights. The main entry fountain and tower might have something you want to check out soon too. I already have plans to visit again as many times as I can. I highly recommend you gather up your family and friends and let this park impress you too. It took me way too long to get to this park for the first time. I won't let too much time pass in between visits now. Thank you, Kings Island, for this amazing ride and all the new experiences and friends I have met at this park.

Great vid. Kudos for knowing why the lift is so slow. Usually people just complain about it without realizing its an example of KI's outstanding ops.

Yea, its super cool. Instead of just stopping it...they slow it down.

IMO, I know not everyone’s, but I think this is a cool coaster. It’s like smooth skiing through the woods without the snow. Lots of tunnels and a second incline, I like 👍🏻

It’s awesome and in really good shape for its age.

When I was a kid, this was the IT coaster. I had a poster of it on my wall. It will always be a favorite for many different reasons.

I turned it off after the first 25 seconds; The camera was all over the place, and after watching hundreds of these coaster ridess, I find this this problem ruins the experience. Sorry to bitch about this but a steady hand and optical stabilzation would make a huge difference. Constructive criticism, not crankiness.

It's ok. But saying sorry for something you typed in the same message is odd. I do this for fun. I do this for me. I do this for my family and friends that cannot go with me. I do this for my future self to say...look I did that! I am not trying to get famous or make any money. It's just fun. It's also a free place to store my videos. I like all the videos that have a more realistic view. These coasters are not smooth. So, watching an old woodie with a perfectly smooth video due to image stabilization technology feels numb. Numb like... well, kinda like using a Hasselblad loaded with some film. Then going through that film and some of the other preloaded backs. Feels great! You can feel it your hand. Now...pick up a point and shoot tiny digital camera. Take all the photos you want...but the digital feels numb. I pretty much like all the youtubers pov coaster vids. They are all neat for different reasons. Thanks for the comment.

It is pretty unique. Especially for being so big. Also, it was way ahead of its time for when it was built.

BOOOORRRRING!!! It's just an Amtrak Train Ride from Mason, Ohio to Mason, Ohio. You want to ride a REAL WOODEN ROLLERCOASTER!! Just travel to Holiday World and ride The Voyage!! It Absolutely CRUSHES The Beast 7 Days a Week and, Twice on Sunday!!!🎢⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‼️ Even Shivering Timbers at Michigan's Adventure Tops The Beast.

Nah no way. The Beast is the king of woodies. And this goes WAYYY faster than a train. Unless that train is the Polar Express. Amtrak trains don't even compare to the Beast bud. Amtrak can go between 90 and 165 miles per hour. That's faster than Falcon's Flight if it ever opens. Voyage is great too, but goshdarn it! give it Timberliners and take out the mid-course trims and it'll be my favorite again. Also put another hundred feet on the Voyage. That thing should seriously be a wooden hypercoaster; it looks like one. While we're at it, let's put another hundred feet on Steel Eel at SeaWorld San Antonio too

You must consider the age of this coaster. Without its success these other coasters would not exist. #oldcoasterrespect Also, cool you don’t like it as now the line is one person shorter every time you visit. 👍

IT OPENED IN 1979!! The Voyage opened in 2006. The fact that you are comparing two coasters that have a 27-year age difference says a lot about the elder.

The Beast started the coaster wars and was designed by math formulas on the back of a menu, The Voyage is a good ride designed by computers.

Haters gonna hate. I like that it’s not perfect and gives a real perspective from a real rider having a good time. Why comment at all? Nice records on your channel. Great songs!👍

I do this just for the fun of it. I do it for me and if anyone else enjoys it, that is great. My apologies I was not considering your specific needs while I was having a great day.
