In the oven now! My husbands B D and he hates too sweet or gooey sugary frosting kind of cakes. His favorite is pound cake plus he loves sour cream. I’m sure it will be a hit.

170 g sugar for 240 g flour is not a lot. Normally pound cake has equal amounts. When you reduce sugar too much it changes the cake. It makes the cake less moist and tender. The only change this recipe needed was salt addition, as every cake should have salt. Salt will also balance the sweetness.
Thank you for your reply. I have diabetes, that is why I reduced the sugar! I wanted to try this cake but I could not have it with the original amount of sugar. If it tastes even better with 240 g of sugar I will have to make it again! I just have to eat less... and that will be a challenge because it is delicious! I love your recipes!

thanks for the recipe! the cake turned out beautiful :) baked mine in a 15cm round pan for approximately 45 minutes, has a beautiful colour and tastes great! I put 65g of truvia baking mix instead of sugar and it's amazing :)
Preheat oven to 350°F 1/2 cup of butter Beat till light and fluffy 3/4 cup of sugar Beat for 4 minutes 2 eggs Add in one at a time beating for 2-3 minutes 8/10 cup of sour cream (so use 1/2 cup, then add in 5 tablespoons)(you can also just add in 3/4 or 1 full cup)(I used yogurt) Add in and beat for 2-3 minutes 1 cup of flour for light cupcakes 2 cups of flour for original cupcakes 2 level teaspoons of baking powder Sift in and mix with spatula or use a spoon or you can mix on medium speed. So I just made the recipe but in cupcake tins. So 30-35 mins for the cupcakes. Also I had jumbo muffin tins and an old oven
