I am guilty. I have not washed my car in 3 weeks. Typically, I do it once a week. The weather here in Las Vegas has been unforgiving the last weeks. Great Video!
We're all guilty of that sometimes :-). I'm looking at another week like that here, nothing last day before a week of rain hits again. Thanks for watching!
There is a video or two that addressed this I think but it's not a bad idea to very lightly wipe it across the panel after spraying to get a little more even coat. It's definitely not required and it works just fine without it, but I find it helps a little. The other thing is DON'T USE TOO MUCH! Not only is this stuff expensive, using too much will actually work against you and you'll see hazing and rainbows. It's designed to be lightly misted over a panel.
You gotta start from the roof and move down when applying. This will help the coverage due to the flow of water and product. This was actually recommended by Gyeon as well.
First of all: I really like your beautiful Mustang, very VERY VERY beautiful!! This product seems to be a good choice for people (like me) that don’t have time to take the best care of our cars. My dear friend: do you believe that this product could be a topper for Fusso Coat? And another thing: there is a line of products from Cerakote (Headlamp restorer and Trim restorer) that seems to be the very best in the market. I’ve done the Headlamp restorer in my Mercedes, and the results are truly amazing, BUT nobody has tested in the “Dmitry’s way” (UVA and UVB protection, etc.), can I ask you to test those products? Thank you my dear Dmitry👍👍👍
Thanks so much for the kind words Joaquín, always great to hear from you. I hope you're doing well my friend! This product is definitely great for a quick spritz when you don't have a lot of time to take care of your car. I think it could possibly work on top of Fusso Coat, typically all these silica spray type of products appear to play well with other sealants. I would give it a shot and see how it reacts when you wash it off. If it doesn't leave any negative effects (i.e. streaking or similar) on one panel, then it should be fine. I am definitely interested in Cerakote products. I hope to test those soon as they're something people ask about a lot. I do have a new UV test which I'll be showing very soon, like maybe today if I can finish the video ;). Hope to hear from you again soon!
I'm a big fan of Gyeon Wet Coat, but I've been looking for even better alternatives. My current favourite method is to apply a ceramic snow foam, and then apply Turtle Wax Ceramic Wet Wax during the drying phase for additional protection. However, I've recently bought a really highly-rated ceramic shampoo that I am looking forward to trying and then potentially just using the Turtle Wax as a spray and wipe product when drying for added protection.
Great video, Gyeon wetcoat is one of the better products in this category. I’ve tried tons of them from CarPro , Mckees , DP hydro , and others. Gyeon though seems to always be my go to in this category. Thanks for the content and it usually lasts a couple months for me in my environment.
Thanks for watching! I was pretty impressed with the Gyeon as well. Im still going to do my usual battery of tests, but the application ease is off the charts. I am curious about the other products you mentioned, definitely saving them for my ever growing list :).
I have used gyeon wet coat in the past, overall a good product. Recently I tried labocosmetica beneficia which is a similar type of product. More durable than gyeon and it is cheaper because it is dilutable 1:1. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Labocosmetica products are manufactured in Italy.
I've been using this types of product and applying them like it's a ceramic coating, with an applicator and the necessary prep work. Cant say for sure that it performs any better or worse but it's just something I like doing other than spraying everywhere and wiping off. Or in this case, spraying off. ty
That's really interesting, but I bet it would work well now that I think about it. I'll have to try that out for myself too. Thanks for the insight and for watching!
@@DmitrysGarage well i tried it today on my Tesla glass. I first did it dry and it was a son of a bitch to get off. Then i spritzed some distilled water on the glass prior to adding the coating and it came off much easier. Havent had a chance to see how water reacts to it yet but I'll let you know if it was worth the effort or not.
It would be great if Gyeon sent you a bottle of Pure so you could test it with your gloss meter. Supposed to be a thick one coat only formula with amazing candy gloss. I'm thinking of getting a bottle and then top the Pure with the CQuartz SiC I have to add some crazy slickness.
Looking forward to the durability test! I'm thinking about using Gyeon Pure EVO or Mohs EVO for my first ceramic coating! Carpro dquartz looks nice as it's abrasion resistant, but only available to shops right now!
@@DmitrysGarage I think diamond body 36 by the rag company is comparable. Carpro put out a video running dquartz through an automatic car wash to show abrasion resistance!
Does it have a UV Protection? I’m considering to add this to my Maintenance Wash packages, however one of my main priority for my sealants are the uv protextion since Philippines is a tropical country. I would appreciate if you can recommend a sealant that is easy to apply, with uv protection, last for sbout 1-3 months, and it would be better if it has no curing time. Thank you!
You need to rinse pretty quickly, I don't think you'd want to cover the whole truck first. The chemistry is likely similar to the waxes they use in wash tunnels, you need it on and rinsed as you go.
That's too bad, haven't found that issue on mine though I do have some black surfaces too. I'll give it a shot in some other tests. One thing I found is that you have to use very little of the product as it seems to be pretty concentrated.
@@DmitrysGarage im curious to your other tests. Because the thing works, just i dont wanna allways do an extra clean after to remove the spots it leaves. And yes, it looks super concentrated. :o
I can't wait for the full battery of tests! You have the best testing methods on RUclips.

Works best if rinsed from bottom to top and top to bottom. That way you spread it better and rinse free.
Great tip! Definitely want to make sure it spreads well and rinses off.
You just start top to bottom. No benefit starting from bottom to top first. You might as well do 2 coats from top to bottom.
@@Quadrupledubswrong
@@lazyjacket there's no science behind starting from the bottom up. Even gyeon says don't do it. Lol

Huge fan of products like this. Been using Gyeon WetCoat for about 18 months.
I'm definitely becoming a fan too, unbelievably easy for a quick seal when you're short on time or if someone doesn't really want a full coat/wax.

try rinsing from bottom up, sound counter intuitive but that ensure the product covers all surfaces instead of flying of the panel

I don't like it on the windscreen, but everywhere else it's good. I'm really impressed with it on the alloys and it lasts.
@lalalal8111 It smears when the wipers are used, the windscreen never seems crystal clear.
@lalalal8111 if you spray it on the roof, when you pressure wash it to rinse off Wet Coat runs onto the windscreen.
