I went to Houston in 2001, I was walking with my River Plate T shirt near a highway, someone honked at me, River Plate fans are everywhere
I bought a Boca jersey in 1999 as I get a jersey from everywhere I visit in the world. Lost it in a house fire in 2004, but in 2010 my cousin married a guy from Buenos Aires and at the wedding (in Michigan) I told the groom’s friend that I lost my jersey. A few months later I got the exact jersey, with same Quilmes sponsor from 1999 in the mail.
I’ll forever love Boca and their supporters.

I dont understand why they dont give these games on TV in Europe. To be honest, El Classico is nothing compared to this. The passion they have is insane!
This is the one game every football fan should witness, it is without doubts the best derby in the world, i cannot describe it , i was lucky to see one and i wont ever forget it, it start a week before and it builds up insanely until the night before where they all go to church( i shit you not) praying for not loosing...they tolerate a draw but NOT DEFEAT, they drink like fish the eve of the game than carry on until its time to go, than the media film the FANS , i went to river plate home ground and the noise was just too much for my ears , boca fans must have been 35 000 and river 45 000 , los tablons( they are river plate ultras) started jumping like mad and you start to think: shit what happens if they score? It is scary yes i must be honest it was fear, 36 minutes river score and i flew 20 rows down without touching the ground, total madness and this jumping that never stop where do they get the energy? When it ends you feel like you landed on the moon, boca lost 2-1 so my friends were proud to have introduced me to THE DERBY! DONT MISS THIS IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE ONE, GO GO GO, YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IT!

@@dylanroper1406 Depends on the importance of the game, if it's a friendly it's rather easy to get a ticket, though they will be probably sold out in 5-6 hours. If we're talking about a league match, then it'll probably be harder if you are not a member of any of the two clubs.

As a neutral fan ( the club I support is Lanús) I believe that boca river it’s the most important derby of Argentina but the most passional and “spicy” or dangerous (sadly) its Rosario’s derby Newells- Rosario Central.
Similar to racing and independiente stadium distance it’s the situation in La plata’s derby. Gimnasia and Estudiantes have their stadiums separate 400/500 meters from each other.

if you come on to buenos aires, the City sightseeing bus just takes you to boca juniors's stadium, its completely ruled out a visit to the river plate stadium, the largest in Argentina, where a world cup was lifted.

I'm from mar del plata 😍😍. Espero te haya gustado la ciudad y te cuento que en mar del plata se da uno de los clasicos mas peligrosos (alvarado vs aldosivi) esta alvaradon en 3era division y aldosivi en 1era division pero la ciudad se separa en esos 2 equipos y al estar en categorias diferentes no se enfrentan mucho, no hacen amistosos solo por miedo de que haya disturbios. Hace 21 años no se juega. Aguante alvarado 🔵🔵
