The HOF are a joke the way they've made some great bands wait & wait & wait while they induct rappers and r&b etc. Not to mention the way they decide which members of a band should be inducted and which shouldn't. Coverdale & Hughes in for Deep Purple but Dio not included with Sabbath, Eric Carr not allowed in for Kiss, Springsteen's entire band inducted including a couple of guys that were in and out before he was famous... it's crap.
Thanks for your comment john, but it doesn't stack up. There's no consistency in the way the HOF induct, Springsteen's band being just one example (Sancious & Lopez) and I doubt there'd be too many hard rock fans that would rate Dio's work with Sabbath as less than what Coverdale & Hughes achieved with DP.
@@aflsteve9139 Are you sure? Dio has released great albums with Black Sabbath and many fans rate his work higher than Ozzy's. And I'm even worse, I'm like fans of Coverdale and Hughes - I love Born Again the most 😄.
HEY Davidroger78, I'm guessing that we're in the minority but Mark III was the definitive version of Deep Purple. WHY - as Glen Hughes said it " like it or not Blackmore is a damn funky player . . .". Burn the album is a MASTERPIECE! 🤩 The rhythm is superb. Blackmore plays the blues and the Mark III and early Rainbow standard - Mistreated performed live - is perfection.
No disrespect to other Deep Purple fans who like Coverdale, Hughes, and Bolin. This comment is my own opinion and please dont take it personal when I say there is only one true Deep Purple lineup and that is the Mark 2 lineup: Blackmore, Gillan, Glover, Paice and Lord. Deep Purple should have been inducted back in 1993 and I would have done anything to see all five of the Mark 2 jamming on stage together. I'm not the only Deep Purple fan that does not like Coverdale, Hughes, and Bolin. 🖤💜💜💜💜
@Pattaya PatPattaya Pat You make a valid point. And I respect your opinion, but I still stand by my comment about Mark 2 lineup. If you like the other lineups more power to you.💜
I think it is shocking that David and Glenn didn't get to sing, i blame fucking Gillan wanting to showcase his DP tribute band, i am appalled, I' am appalled that Ritchie wasn't there either, that man is Deep Purple along with Mr Jon Lord R.I.P. VERY dissapointing indeed
+Gary Unsworth And why the latest Deep Purple lineup is Gillan's tribute band? Gillan, Glover and Paice are the members of the most successful in every way, DP line up, MK2. Glenn Hughes has been going for years playing DP songs with various tribute and cover bands. He and Coverdale did only two DP albums (deliberately dont count Come taste the band, since it was pure disaster, as much as DP or whatever it was with Tommy Bolin), opposite Gillan, Glover and Paice, so it was ok to perform only with the latest line up. Lord sadly passed away, Blackmore disconnected himself from DP, and Steve Morse showed as very worthy replacement. Purpendicular is the most underrated DP album, yet so amazing, the latest What Now?! too. Deep Purple still exsists, and its not Gillan's DP tribute band!
+john victor Oetomo This isnt a fucking silly tribute band Steve Morse is a full member that did 5 albums with DP, more than Coverdale and Hughes. The guitar player far better that Bolin (god rest his soul), that plays very well, and compose really nice riffs and guitar solos. Morse was even praised by Blackmore. I think you either didnt hear albums such as Purpendicular, Abandon or you, sorry but must say, have bad taste since you think CTTB is the good album, which definitely has never been. The album CTTB was the reason why Lord and Paice decided to quit and disband DP, because they sounded ridiculous. This is the current lineup, and they don't do covers.
+Anno Mundi and john victor Oetomo, (probably the same user with two accounts) your parents must be really proud of you for insulting people because of their taste in music. You always claim to have other important things in life, yet you seem to have an obsession for Deep Purple just like Mark David Chapman had for John Lennon. Go to hell!
The initial suggestion from Ian Gillan, was that the current lineup of DP perform some numbers, with Glen & David joining them later for a joint version of “Smoke On The Water”. It was David & Glen who turned that idea down, although of course they were there to collect their accolades. As for Ritchie? He’s his own boss, & will only go where he wants to go
Dont agree, gillain is the only front man of purple for me its no tribute band with him!! how silly. i aknowledge david and glen fabulous in their own right and contributed but for me its gillain....

Well this is really woot and cool as a Moodies fan, it's nice to think their own musical kin
might turn the tide on that.
Glenn looks like he’s cosplaying Beetlejuice.

buena vocalizacion tiene Coverdale
Deep purple was Ian Gillian
Deep Purple MK3 is by far THE BEST lineup!
Class acts
Best band live credits
Glenn and David Bowie shared the same coke dealer
+falica77 Glenn kinda looks like Mickey Dolenz there. lol
+John Smith Haha I was thinking the same thing!!
YEP!! haha!!
+Carl IJE I don't do coke and have never lived in LA. Duh!
Blackmore was always a Pepsi guy.
I’m sorry for Tommy Bolin..Come taste the band is one of the Best Album.
Tommy Bolin - LEGEND
2 legends
Inducted to the hall of fame a little late in my opinion
15 years late
And now thumbs up for the billionth fan who will write something about mk2 was better of mk3 or viceversa
HEY Davidroger78,
I'm guessing that we're in the minority but Mark III was the definitive version of Deep Purple.
WHY - as Glen Hughes said it " like it or not Blackmore is a damn funky player . . .".
Burn the album is a MASTERPIECE! 🤩
The rhythm is superb.
Blackmore plays the blues and the Mark III and early Rainbow standard - Mistreated performed live - is perfection.
Still a cutie David Coverdale 😉
and the band Purple Cream ?
Where is Rod Evans?
Thanks David…For Tommy Bolin.
coverdale el unico 😄😍
MKll were great but MKlll were on another level
Deep Purple MK3 is by far THE BEST lineup. Period!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
HUGHES, Rob Halford and Bruce Dickenson greatest living singers
MARK !!!
Ian I think still has the Deep purple band and the name I believe so induction in does band or do they have to be broken up no longer to get huh???
Lol.. I love these two
Anybody seen Ritchie.anybody know why Ritchie did bobby loopoe
If you like the other lineups more power to you.💜
👎👎👎Mark2. Gillan👎. Blackmore + Lord 👍👍❤
Deep Purple MK3 is by far THE BEST lineup.
@@FernandoSouza-nh7tr Mark 2 had alot more hits. If you like Mark 3, good for you!
Tommy Bolin R.I.P.
+john victor Oetomo This isnt a fucking silly tribute band
Steve Morse is a full member that did 5 albums with DP, more than Coverdale and Hughes.
