If gust revive the mana khemia series it would be so marvelous
at least they acknowledge their existence over the years and there has been mentionings about reviving it but the question is when and how. I take a remake of the first game, especially if they keep both OSTs around in case they wanna arrange or produce new music for it cuz I think the original tracks are still holding up quite well!

Damn, I wish they would have carried on with the Mana Khemia games. They were so good and this track was epic asf.
If it had a bit more of a fanbase maybe they would've made Mana Khemia 3
Especially the first one was so good but was underrated
Sadly Japan players prefer the cute and girly Atelier games. Nothing against them but, pretty boring for me .

@@Invi--- yup , i tried every Atelier from the PS3 era , and all of them feel the same, that feeling of adventure and epicness from these games (both mana khemia) are gone.
But again, japan players love them, it's kinda cultural i suppose.
I think the issue was that Atelier stood out as a series with it's comfyness and less darker moments etc and when Mana Khemia came out it felt too "RPG" in a sense for the fans which is why the sales suffered for the sequel more then the first game. I think what also didn't help was the name change that made people think it was something original and different when Japan has already issues with stuff standing out too much.
Either way, the producer behind the series expressed intererst in bringing it back but it won't be happening too soon from what I got in the interview from some months ago. I do pray they keep the game intact, even when some japanese fans see it as a black sheep of the franchise!

I may as well add to the list and mention both Kings from Project Wingman and Bury the Light (specifically the acapella version).
Truth is, it sucks to die. I'd cry too if I was about to die and kill all my friends with me. Plus, Vayne feels like it needs to happen, which makes it even worse for him. Before you call a character a crybaby, you need to put yourself into the character's shoes. I'd way rather have a "crybaby" than an emotionless character.

and time management
Even time management doesn't really matter in mysterious series actually. Atelier nowdays focused on synthesis system and it's kinda fun, but too sad the story is too bland. Dusk series have more serious plot compared to Arland and Mysterious, tho.
the point of the atelier series is about item creation and developing atelier(think harvest moon n rune factory). Ironically it is atelier iris and mana khemia series who are the black sheeps of the series. Although outside of japan people prefer the iris and MK series, these series performed poorly in sales inside of japan. So it is highly unlikely that gust will make the atelier games in a more traditional and serious jrpg style especially with the arland series being their best seller.
They haven't been able to make a good serious game in decades. Every time they try to deviate from their brainless boilerplate 33/40 Famitsu score formula of jailbait otakuservice girls being cutesy for 30 hours, they screw it up. Ar Tonelico Qoga, Azure Nights, Blue Reflection, Ar Nosurge - all of them have been bad-to-mediocre.
Don't get me wrong I love the Atelier games(their art team has always knocked it out of the park), but I also recognize that as the company is right now, there's no point in them trying because they're already doing as well at making games as they ever will without hiring some new talent to really turn the ship around.
This was one of the few times where I had to stop attacking so that I heard the BGM.
I've been played this game like 5 or more times and I love both story and the ost,,,lol
is it just me or the song at the beginning is like castlevania sotn back when we played richard in the first time,,,,,it's not like I comparing them but it's ost sure rocks XD
This theme is incredible. It starts off with that generic overused epic orchestral intro complete with pipe organ...
And then does a 180 and goes into a full on epic rock/metal ballad.

This is still one of the best final-boss battle themes that I've ever heard, and this one wasn't even the best song from the game, goes to "Nefertiti" from the Isolde boss battle.
i love this game sooo muuuuch My childhood ! the Epic soundtrack , i relate so much with vayne.. im that chill boring main character that is just lowkey but i get unwanted attention and people are somehow drawn to me , but i wouldnt call it popular , i just found a group of unique genuine friends and its at a school setting aswell , id call this " Persona " game , but i think its more beautiful than persona in its own unique way , you literally battle Your Female teacher with a badass theme and a badass summon aswell , you battle literal students , Seniors THEY ALSO HELD SCHOOL BATTLE TOURNAMENTS ! HOW HYPE CAN THAT BE ?! and im a sucker for games that have mysterious Origin towards their main character that are only unique to them , hmm maybe thats Cliche but it gives so much depth and Hype towards the players . gaaah the Alchemy the constant Messing around with Flay ( i have a similar friend in school that has his exact demeanor aswell ) ill miss you Mana khemia and the soundtrack you've managed to instill to us up until this day , i thank Gust for creating this masterpiece though it is Fleeting but it was sweet to the ears aswell as the Heart , and Most of all i thank our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for making all of this possible by giving us Brains and the Senses required to fully fathom and enjoy the game . Legend status right here.. i actually consider this game included to the " Golden Age of JRPG's " era along with xeno gears and breath of fire 3 & 4 .

The story was predominantly dumb, with the depth of a shallow puddle, and only occasional moments of nice action with a pinch of barely meaningful character development...
But the battle gameplay, and especially the music that went with it were god tier.
Especially with Haruka Shimozuki singing this piece of beauty. It made all the time I spent suffering the sheer stupidity of the characters, the tiring school days mechanic, the pacing that crawled like sticky tar on a flat floor, the mind-numbing grinding... it made all worth it to listen to this piece of beauty. Toshinori Hiramatsu's guitar and Ken Nakagawa's compositions made it possible for me to not quit.
I think Roxis and Anna were pretty good characters but yeah the battle system and music is what carries the game

the story can be nonexistential around the 80% of the game, but the tag based gameplay and that ost carried the entire game, plus i enjoyed flay and nikki sharing the only neuron they had

Normal battles aren't too useful besides collecting AP. The purpose of the Final Dungeon is so that you can grind more materials, collect your Infinity+1 equipment, and fight cameo characters from other games.

Roxis best ability is chrono drive and judgement which is weird cuz chrono drive is light fall from the sky while judgement is a spinning explosion attack... maybe Gust messed them up O.o:

Vayne's skill Over Realm. If you use Over Realm again as your second command you can pretty much keep Vayne's turn going for as long as you can keep his SP up.
@weirdloser42 yup. i discovered it too. You have to install the game to hear the english voices in battle (sucks that i noticed that until i was near the final battle...oh well XD)

I'm not really into Japanese vocal boss themes but this is an exception. Truly magnificent! The game itself is quite good especially the battle system, too bad Vayne is such a wimp of personality

i was really glad that gust left this song untouched in the psp version. I really hated that there weren't battle voices and the ones in events were only available in english so i was fearing they butchered this one too

@@LonelyKids93 u say that when Metroid Dread and Klonoa's revival proof that there is room for such. I do fear that becuase of the low sales of the OG Mana Khemia titles and their unpopularity inside of japan (despite being liked quite some outside of japan in the given circles) that this chance is slim(mer) but maybe Gust realized that there is an audience for this, and that not necessarly, if given the proper spotlight, that the series can be appreciated and bought by new fans!
And maybe after we get some modern ports or remasters of those titles that we have a Mana Khemia 3. Or an anime/OVA about it. All depends on the fans after all!

Haven't played Mana Khemia (no psp), but I was introduced to this song by a friend. The part at 00:40 has become a personal Go To piece of epicness in what boss battles can be.
I know some people may not agree with me, but I would like, alot, if the song just didn't have the lyrics, though the voice is beautiful and melds well with the music. I just feel that this song has potential to be the BEST song to play when your enemy, in whatever magical/fantasy story, is FUCKED.
