- This weekend one of our Idaho Pasture pigs decided she was sick of staying in her pen and decided to explore our yard instead. Luckily we saw her and were able to get her rounded back up. Today we are moving both of our sows to new pens.

***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 2 new videos every week! Wednesday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

Just a little info. When I first discovered your site I wasn't too impressed, but something kept drawing me back. Now you are one of my favorite sites to follow. Thanks for all of the work you put into your video. God will surely bless you for providing them for older folk such as me for our entertainment. Thank you keep up the good work. Just an old country boy at heart.
I love these pigs. They are the cutest with their eyes and floppy ears. 🐖🐖🐖
Your pigs are so fun to watch. They make a person feel quite relaxed! Your new pens look quite welcoming for them both. Love your channel! Be safe & God bless!
Hello..Kevin & Sarah..
Oh Mildred is a naughty girl =) ; D lol. I really like the feeding stations you built, such a nice idea and so simple.
Well that's one project done, thanks for sharing......God bless
Love the sleepy time music!😍Sweet. Can't wait to see the babies & see if any have pink sweaters like Piglet!
Another great video from LTH!! I'm being selfish but I sure do wish you went back to 3 videos a week. Speaking for myself, you are SOOOOOO missed. 2 videos just doesn't give me my fill of you guys ❤️
Thank you for sharing
God bless
I know right? I could watch them everyday! Maybe if they went too 3X a week, that ad revenue from YT would help defray some of their escalating costs on the farm! Just a thought, lol!
I totally agree, 2 videos isn't enough!
@@Georgia-WRBNS couldn't agree more 😂👍❤️
Right?!
Very nice feeding places for the Pigs 🐷 good idea
I love your new microphones. When you are outside we can hear you much better. Also, when you are filming in the house. The sound is so much better with less echoing.
Your channel is a rock of sanity in the sea of turmoil around us. Thank you!
Awesome video you guys are the best RUclips channel with the best content God bless you
You two are my entertainment! Really enjoy all your podcasts. God Bless You. 😊😊
Hey! If you drill some very very small holes all the way through the pans and the deck, the water shoul run out without losing food.
Great job yay! Don't forget to add some strong fencing on the blue gates there. Those babies, when they're born, will escape even more easily than the momma did. So you might want to lower another wire at 6" from the ground for the babies. They're sneaky.
The pigs are so cute Kansas
Love the One Nation under God sweatshirt.
amen, coveting one for myself.....
Ik vind dat jullie een hele leuke boerderij hebben. En jij mijnheer hebt een heel leuke vrouw
If there are any old not used buildings see if you can recycle the lumber from the building that is good enough to reuse
I like the feeding stations keeps the food clean, try drilling a small 1/4 hole at the bottom on the side it will let the water out and keep the feed in another great show
Great job guys!
That is one chill pig!🐖🐽
Love it!
Oh my goodness that was fun watching. I can just see the dogs going crazy..lol You guys work hard, but live the dream. Husband and wife working together is the best. I love love love pigs. Hugs guys you are my all time favorite, and I generally share your videos because they are so well made and informative.
Your feeding station design is absolutely brilliant!! One of the things I absolutely hated about keeping our pigs was the constant mess with their food buckets ending up in their wallow or half their feed being wasted because it gets lost in the mud.
I wish I could sleep like dear Mildred!❤
Thanks for sharing great job, they look very happy. Love the t-shirt.
That ear blowing in the wind during nap time 😴😂 too cute!!! ❤️ Kristy, your neighbor, in WP😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You two are such an inspiration and work so we'll together. I love the projects done on camera instead of just telling us what you already did. It makes me want to do some projects too. Thank you all!
How did I miss the announcement of Mildred's pregnancy? Congratulations! Can't wait to see piglets.
When you put the automatic waterer on the feeding station, please show that too...I am needing to build something for pigs too, and that will be a help. THX for your video.
Also what do you do for water for the pigs when it's freezing? Our pigs keep dumping out and tearing up their rubber water pans. Since we have to haul water to their area, it would be nice if their water lasted longer than a few minutes and hauling water to them several times a day is exhausting.
I love your channel keep up the good work
Loving the weather you've got, great for projects.
Happy new year!
God bless you!
Good job Kevin and Sarah. Love your insight.
We love your pig videos and cant wait to get them here at our homestead!
Love he video, he pigs are s pig and nice and the fence looks good
We had an escape artist sow when I was a kid. Nothing we did seemed to keep her in. Greta was a master at escaping! I believe she eventually went to freezer camp as my dad was fed up lol.
Very cool. We just got 2 gilts and a barrow
Thank you, thank you Georgia
Can’t wait for them to have their babies!❤️
Great job. Pens looks very nice for your piggy's. Blessings....
I love the sweatshirt!!
Thanks for naming the sows after my grandmother’s. Mildred and Myrtle 😁😁😁😁
Nice job 👍🏻🙏🙏🙏
Love this... wondering pigs 🐖 always have fun 🙃...absolutely love the pig feeders... our IPP just had 2 piglets and 2 extra placentas... Momma took the babies out for a stroll the following day, riggt through the fence that my son forgot to put the clips on🙃😉 they enjoyed their field trip, and of course they all went back in so easily... praying for y'all and the birthing soon.
Blessings
People underestimate how smart pigs really are! Once a pig has found a way out of its pen, she will not rest until she finds another escape area. Don't be surprised if she will need to be electric fence trained again. I hate admitting how many times our one old sow out smarted me in my younger days! Worse yet she would lead 4 or 5 of her pen mates out as well! Best of luck lol!
Good to see you.
You've gotta love the beagle notification.... Our Mollie(beagle) will let us know if one of the cats got out and will heard them back into the house.... the girls pins look pretty cool.
GOOD MORNING KEVIN AND SARAH AND FAMILY 😊
Hello! Hope you and your family have a Safe and Healthy, Happy Year. One thing I was thinking about the rubber feeding dish. If that is just for dry food only, you could drill a couple holes in the sides of the dish at different
heights so the bowl can drain itself. Just a suggestion to make it easier for you
You all do such nice videos.
Be careful on these feeding stations... newborn piglets may get underneath which could become deadly.
Since you screwed the feed bowl down, I would suggest getting an additional feed bowl and place it in the screwed down one. This would make clean-up easier.
That Is a great idea!
But it would defeat the purpose of screwing the bowl in place!
@@Jomama02 How does one really clean one that is screwed down- Not very well. Let the screwed down hold the other in place, then it is easy to clean.
The pigs would just knock it out of the other one and that would defeat the purpose. No real reason to clean the bowl anyway.
I was also wondering if the pigs could cut their snouts on the screw heads, rutting around inside the pans for food? A liner pan would solve that.
Wow!
This is to funny. It happens. Its nice that the dogs are like that..
How many deer you get this year?
Start looking into a few dexter cows.
They are small and have that chill temperament like the pigs but their nitch is better tasting beef and most folks and babies that cant have typical cows milk can drink Dexter's milk.
On the milk you need to be sure your Dexter has been tested to produce A2/A2 milk.
Bandit would eat on that pan lol I use stainless steel
🌻Living Traditions 🌻 always enjoy your videos 🌟Listening from Mass USA🌟Hello everyone on UTube
What brand of post driver do you have? I couldn't find the first video you used it on.
Hope you put something on those gates cause the bottom is just an invitation to the babies to wander...
Great video as always! Love learning from y’all!!! What are the mics that y’all use for shooting, best sound ever!?
Hello, can you buy soil now for spring planting? If so, how would you store it and care for it until then? Will it get ruined at all or deteriorate? TIA
I think Mildred just wanted your company. She is quite content as long as you are in the pen with her.
O,O,😲😲😲a runaway 😲😲but didn't go far 🤗 🌹 Godbless 👼 ,also the animals 🐔🐓🦃🐷🐰🐑🐏🐄 from Bklyn NY 1/6/21 Feliz Dia De Reyes (the three kings 🤴🐫🤴🐫🤴 🐫day)💃🇵🇷 We celebrate this day in P.R. instead of Christmas the 25th -this day is only for JESUS 👶. Godbless 👼
What is the little black clip on thing you are both wearing it’s hard to see what it is? Anyone know?
Will you do a pig birthing video?
She doesn't want to be fenced in....😉
ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE ANY IPPS FOR SALE
Beagles are so cute. But their variety of obnoxious noises drives me crazy. How do you keep them so quiet. They yelp 24/7!
Ours are actually pretty quiet. I guess we just got lucky!
It never feels like they're talking to a camera haha I always imagine we're just having a chat over the back fence.
Its good to see yall are doing well. Happy New Year.
Hi from Mesa, Az. Lumber is a little pricey here too. Love watching your projects. I love to work with my husband on projects around our home. Good job on the pens. Our motto is “shop from home first” before we spend at a store.
Thank you for acknowledging the frozen upper Midwest! It irks me when I watch videos and 40° days are talked about like it's the worst weather ever. That's like spring here in MN!!!
Congratulations, I just saw where Jason Crocker gave you a shout out to you because of the Nomad Internet device you recommended. 👍
Yes, thank you for recommending the Nomad Internet system. I will be investing in that myself. I will go through your link so you get credit towards free internet.
Thanks so much for your videos. I so enjoy watching your teamwork and problem solving. It is especially inspiring to witness your gratefulness to God for your blessings. It has been inspiring to be able to see your life during this pandemic. Thank you for sharing your recipes, ideas and faith with us. May God continue to bless your entire family.
Kevin you're a blessed to a working wife right by your side stay blessed you two
I love they can work so well together ❤ I have been with my husband for 32 years and we do ok but my husband has always been in a boss position at his job and it overflows onto working together. Lol
What a blessing that is they have.
Hubbs and I cant work together at all. We've been together 8 years and if theres a project its safer for us to go do two totally different things. We don't get along well while working at all. He doesn't want to work on projects and I get really heated and too bossy.
Thankfully my husband and I work well together on home projects because he has all the construction knowledge and I have all the patience lol.
Hi there I'm back I'm one of your new subscribers as Jason sent us over which I said on my last visit to you and again I just want to say thank you so so much for helping Jason that was so kind of you all my love Anita from the UK
Oh my god what lovely pigs you got how lovely they certainly do what you want them to do do very cool from Anita
Great work guys. Things are looking great. Can't wait for the babies to get here. Love learning how to homestead from you guys. Stay blessed and safe. Much love from Utah.
LOVE THE SHIRT , Sarah !! :)
I’m wondering why you didn’t install the feeders inside the barn where they would stay dry 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤓😁
I’d expect it’s because pigs are messy eaters as well as space issues
Love u two ! We don’t live on farm but love learning so much of u and how hard it is to do what u do ! Thanks sharing! ☺️🥰🥂
Oh lord, that T post driver is to DIE FOR!!!!
YES! I was just wondering if they had a link for it
I ran over to show my daughter. It is on my wish list now.
Lol! When you played that lullaby tune, in my head I legit sang, “go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep little Myrtle.”
I love watching you two. You work like a well oiled machine. Such harmony and timing.. the way Sara keeps an eye on Kevin is like watching a love story.....She follows all your needs! Your an awesome couple for younger homesteaders to follow.
When I watch these guys I feel like I'm watching my wife and I! Only thing is wife is a little more feisty! But after 18 years she's still amazing!
I love your positive attitude and beautiful smiles!!
The Crocker's gave u some love on the internet service you are using
Mildred and Charlie must have had a fight....she said, I'm going home to mother!!!!! Lol
Myrtle was down for the count. 😂
When you start talking, and said my name. How she know I am here. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wish I could sleep that soundly at night. Every little noise wakes me up. I guess it takes a lot of energy to grow those little piglets😉 Their farrowing pens and feeding stations look great. I also love your one nation under God shirt, Sarah! God bless!
Love you guys!! love the interaction between you too, the teamwork and the entire production... I hope your channel continues to explode! You're helping a lot of people! Thank you!
Thank you Kevin & Sarah. Top video :) God Bless you all in Love. ( shared to f/b )
Mildred is so funee. I guess she has a need to get x-tra excerises in, running around the front yard was the best place. I had some Chow puppies who did the same thing, but was soon as we started after them the went a running. And we had huge fields around us so that was that. The catch was on. Mildred is such a sweet sweet girl. Guess her hormones are getting to her. Good luck. How is Hope & Hudson and all the children on the Homestead??? And mama and pop doing. & The girls. Good luck 🤞 to you both and GOD BLESS. 🙏
Drill a 1/2 “ hole with butterfly bit in the pig pan to keep water out of pan ?
I thought about that but then the water is running out onto the wood, maybe easier to cover the pan with something when it’s raining.
@@lechatbotte. Water is going to get on the wood anyway, same way it would get into the pan when it rains.
Do the same with the wood troughs to let the water drain out as it rains in. Maybe put a very slight slant to the platform to help with the draining.
Hi Kevin and Sarah, I am so excited for baby piglets lol
Jenenda 🍅🍅🍅
My husband and I recently moved to the ozarks as well, coming from the Iowa/illinois area. I'm still not sure what to do with all these nice days while they're getting snow and ice back home!
Do some winter sowing!
Hi, beautiful family! She's a bright pig, a master of escape.
You Two are the cutest... and work so well with each other 👨👩💛
Good morning you guys. I noticed there wasn't any fencing on the gates. Is that another project before the little piglets come? Best wishes and Happy New Year. 😄
Kevin and Sarah talked about adding panels to the gates (eventually) when they installed them.
I was wondering the same. I'm sure they have thought of that, I hope! 🤣
good natural hogs hope they have some good size litters for you all.
Could you tell me where you bought your new clip-on mics or put the info in your amazon link??? Thank you. They work great for us hard of hearing people!
I love watching them, so adorable
I like the way you think things out when you have a building project. You keep it neat and tidy.
Pigs keep getting out on all the RUclips channels! Something is in the air. 🤣
Or water 💦😆👍
She was just mozzying along! I just love her
