I never post comments on youtube but I have to say those kids are amazing I've been following for quite awhile now and can't get over how well they can assist every day chores hats off to you and your family what a great homestead!
I love this channel you are so helpful I have really learned a lot about homesteading and farming, I’m definitely gonna have my own homestead one day because of you
My pigs Gloucestershire Old Spot, Tamworth and wild boar destroy the pasture. Nose rings are used but we don't want to stop natural behaviour. So we rotate fields every 7 days.
Sheep and Pigs. Goats have Devil Eyes ;) LOL. No seriously, Sheep will do the same work as a goat, but can also thrive 100% on grass, taste better and don't escape as badly.
It's not easy to harvest, but I can't justify having someone else harvest the meat I'm gonna eat. I need to feel the wait of that sacrifice on my shoulder. I just embrace the difficulty for my sake and the sake of the animals. They get great lives here and are processed quick and humanely (without stress beforehand).
🤔🤔🤔. How many times have I dreamed the perfect solution for it only turns into a NIGHTMARE. Do the other pigs do the same as the little ones? Maybe these little ones not the answer for what you’ve dreamed. It’s always something to give ya headaches but somehow it’ll get figured out. The boys are good thinkers too so with all the minds working together .....problem will be solved. Hey you’re the Rhodes family and nothing is impossible. Just look how far you’ve come 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are my inspiration and I’m only 12 I just got my own milk cow the other day and it has been great I named her Phyllis
Love how you count on and listen to Jonah (and your other kids) they will be self starting, self reliant adults. Good job mr. and mrs. Rhodes!

Awesome! Thank you!
I love how Gideon's shoes has become a personality trait
My cold hands have woken many a sleepy child up. Way better than an alarm clock!
I think they root more out behind the sheep because there is a lot less grass than where they where. You will get it figured out.
Thank you Rhodes family!👍❤️👍
Our pleasure!

Did you mechanically till before sowing that pasture? It is lush and dense!! One of the best pastures I’ve seen 😀

Would pigs and goats be best animals for clearing thick shrubbery in a 5 acre parcel?

Are they not grazing pigs? I want to buy some land for a homestead. How can I get the cheapest for my bucks?
They graze, but they also root. Maybe not as bad as other breeds but they still root.
Love the vids
You should get your dog a stretchy lead

Hello
Wrong kind of hogs!
Put rings in their noses.
Not a bad thought but then they wouldn't spread the manure either.
