I could buy a big RV and A big Truck if I wanted but i decided to go with a Ram 1500 4 by 4 off road package and a 21 foot Jayco 195RB for my full time RV life and I'm glad I did ...After 3 years I've saved so much money camping 99% free camping , it was hard not going big but I realized I didn't need to spend over 100k , my Ram I got in 2020 for 35,900 cash and my Jayco new I got 15,899 cash .. RV full time is as tax free as you can get but nothing is 100% tax free . I love this life and 37 states and in my 4 th years 😍 I'm looking forward to visiting the other states. FLORIDA has free boondocking at all there water management sites , can look up the information on RUclips .
I just purchased a 24 F350 Platinum and really love how you can enter and save all the trailers right in the trucks menu. The GPS works for normal and trailer towing by size and you get a PIP of the camera on the main screen for the back of your RV. You have a really nice truck love the black as my past truck was but I agree you just can't keep it shiny and I just couldn't leave the options that Ford came with. I will be putting in the 60 gallon fuel tank as I also got the short bed and think it's just to small. Great vids trying to catch up as I just found the channel!

do a hand calc of that mpg. it will definitely be lower. Its not bad, but the lie-o-meter is never accurate. Our Haloview BT7 touchscreen rear cam saved us on our recent trip. Had a blowout that the TPMS didnt pick fast enough. With the rear cam always on, it showed a puff of white smoke followed by a trail of white smoke, witnessing the blowout as it happend, I was able to immediately get the hazards on, start getting slowed down and off the highway. The only damage because of the ability to see the event occur, was to the tire itself, no damage to RV, rear tire or wheel (although we are going to replace that tire anyways), not even the wheel on the blowout tire was damaged. TPMS went off as I was slowing down and getting off the highway.
The larger fuel tank from Titan fuel tanks is worth the longer range, in my opinion. Love the truck!

We use that same style of camera and we opted for the 2 camera system. They are sooo handy. You will need to charge them before every trip if you haven’t figured that out already. The solar just isn’t quite enough plus they’re more than likely in the shadow of the RV. I “glued” a plate on the top center of the rear on mine to mount it like a factory mount camera. I put the other one facing the passenger side to check the side lane when merging right.

We use Hammer it is a trucker app that allows you to put in all of your measurements ensuring you don’t go down a wrong road. It also includes gas, parking , scales etc. best of all it’s free

8:50 Unfortunately, from my experience after visiting Very Many Cracker Barrel locations, is that too often those that do have the long spaces marked "For RV's and Busses Only" .... they are parked up with cars. Plenty of other spots open, but unaware, or entitled, or just plain rude drivers put their smaller vehicles in them.

I have MoRyde IS and I have had some issues with alignment and tire wear. I had it realigned at MoRyde August 2023. I have had some additional problems since then. I now have learned how to do it myself . It takes about an hour and is really pretty easy.
Great video!! I have the RV Life app, but we don't really utilize the navigation option. That's pretty interesting how it figures. We all travel so differently, so I am interested to see how accurate it is.
Thanks! Yes, it seems to be working fairly well and only routes on truck routes to avoid "situations" 🤣. Also, it had us exit once to avoid a bridge and then get back on the route. But, still not sold completely on it..... But you gotta use something here on the East Coast, especially in the northern part! Low bridges everywhere! Have a good one guys. 😊
Try rinseless wash on the truck. It may help with the water spot issues. You can go panel by panel

Although we have an onboard GPS in our class A, we’ve preferred our RV rated Garmin. This definitely saved us in the north east, with their lower clearance train over passes. One trip comes to mind. Apple Maps routed us through a smaller town. Pretty much in a straight line. Garmin routed us in a zig zag pattern through then town. At the last “zig”, my wife looked right and found that Garmin routed us away from going under a train track with 9’ 8” clearance. We are just under 13’ high. This would have “zippered” our rig. Garmin for the win! Safe travels.
Very informative vid, glad to see y’all headed back out on the road. We have a 35 gallon fuel tank & a long bed truck with an additional 50 gallon auxiliary tank. That has been our favorite upgrade so far, being able to travel over 1,000 miles & shop fuel is nice to save when applicable.

We use the garmin 890 gps. Not sure how your console is laid out, but the soft mount it came with fits nicely in the drivers side cup holder in our 2022 longhorn unlimited. The screen angles nicely up at the driver. Nothing on the dash with our set up. Plus we use the factory navigation screen with the maps app. I lover our Ram dually. I’m looking forward to hearing how you guys like yours.
I just ordered the backup camera. It will be very helpful with our boat trailer. We’ve managed for years without a camera but technology will make it easier. Thanks for the review.
Black Rifle is great coffee. I ordered the digital rear view camera in my 2024 Ram and it comes with a trailer camera. Easy setup and no extra screen required.

Glad you got the alignment done. It can be a challenge to find qualified trailer/RV alignment shops. Looks like you found one!
The titan 52 gal. tank is worth the expenditure which is the larger tank I purchased. Decided not long after purchasing my Mega Cab while traveling out west. When at times places to refuel can be few and far in-between. Definitely look into upgrading your tank. Only thing I have done to my 2022 Mega Cab. 18 mpg not towing 12 mpg towing. Happy travels!

If you do get the 55 gallon tank you will be so proud of your self. it's probably one of the best things I ever did on my f 350. I didn't tow any thing back when I was working and traveling but it give you the option to look up as price a long your route and see if you can save a little down the road on fuel. not that you don't still stop for bathroom break but you don't have to buy fuel. plus as long as you keep and use a vehicle you will like it.
Allignment on the RV is important. Mine is due as well. Definitely one tire wearing more than the other three. similar situation I am sure. Key is finding someone that actually knows how to correct it. Safe travels......
20:45 - I have a 1500 Ram with dial knob shifter and I can't open my door while moving (annoying safety device). Glad to see Ram didn't lock all their trucks out (currently looking at tow vehicle options).
We use RV Trip wizard pro for planning and for navigating when the route differs from Apple Maps. When the both routes agree, we prefer to use Apple Maps while traveling because of better graphics and more information on traffic.
We all make our own decisions on hooking up vs unhooking. In my experience, unhooking a fifth wheel and pulling it a couple feet forward (allowing you to auto-level) only takes a minute. Rehooking it up also takes only a minute. At least that’s what we do.

Love your channel have been following you for years❤. Im from manitoba canada and tow a tt to AZ every winter. I just installed Dexter wet bolts and Easy Flex suspension upgrade, see if it makes any difference. The worst part of my trip every year is the wind from texas to Manitoba 😂 it just never lets up. Safe travels.
We have a hard time finding Cracker Barrels that can fit our 5th wheel also. Like yall, we use Bass Pros, Cabelas and HH for our 1 night stops.
This seems to be pretty common for MorRyde axles. Please record it, don’t let them just say it’s a tire problem. It’s an align issue and this should take care of before they leave the factory.
We had about 10k miles and 10 months of full time travel, so we have no way of knowing what exactly caused it. MORRyde has the same electronic alignment equipment so I would assume they align them well at the factory. I can’t rule us out of rubbing that blind side tire on something either…. But glad it’s fixed!
i don’t think you should be held responsible for any cost. The rv manufacturer should pay for any and all cost for the alignment and new tires.
Aaron, Cris, When you are turning your rig and make a tight corner wether backing or forward the action in the 2 axles is under savage torque... It will stretch your spring bracket hangers and wear your bushings out super quick. Keep a close check on that trailer axle gap between tires. Travel safe

Traffic in South Florida has gotten so bad in the last 15 years there's so many more people than the 80s and 90s.
Not bad mileage for that size of truck. When I was trucking I always ran U.S.27 down to MIA and back up. I only paid a toll for one exit... :) It looks like June bug is doing fine traveling without the cage. :) Glad you found the problem with alignment pretty easy! Y'all be careful!

Hello. I have used RV Pro for almost 2 years now. I don't use the maps very often, but I do often compare to Google and the Hammer app. I have found with my 65 mph speed & stops, I have to add about 1 - 1.5 hours to google and subtract about an hour from RV Pro. Interesting on the fuel mileage on the Dodge. Like the camera. Doesn't your rig. have a spot prepped up there for one? Looked like there was a spot. I think on lower where you have that one is better. I have been looking at one that goes around the license plate.. but not there yet. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels.

We have the Morryde IS on our 48’ TH and are avid boondockers, but don’t go to any questionable or risky spots. We have had our IS alignment done twice in 2 years and I now travel with about 3 sets of the alignment shims, bcuz most alignment shops don’t carry them.
We had the last alignment done in last November in Jacksonville, FL at Horton Truck Service - great place and top notch service!!!
The techs that aligned the tires made a very good point and I verified this through Morryde as well with a phone call to service. He said, the close quarters/tight maneuvering with hard angles causes the tires to twist and flex which they are designed to do. However, this can lead to your toe and camber being significantly off which will cause excessive tire wear. If this goes unnoticed theres a good chance it will lead to bearing failure on that tires bearing. Basically, the same thing that happened you guys happened on our front right tire…abnormal tire wear due to the toe off a few degrees. I checked the bearing and it was scorred and pitted, so I ended replacing the OEM bearings with Timkin bearings. FYI, if you haven’t repacked your bearings yet, you are due as per Morryde’s IS preventative maintenance, bcuz you had the coach for a year now. 12K miles or year, Morryde recommends inspecting and repacking the bearings.
Heres the nugget the tech recommended to help preserve/prolong the alignment on these rigs. After a hard angle back or pull in to the final spot for the coach at the site, pull straight forward or back as far as safe and practicable to reset the twisting and flexion the tires have on them. We kinda noticed this when we first got the RV a couple of years ago after a hard angle back in. My wife told me to come look at the tires and they looked all cattywampus. All six tires looked like each one had drank a case of beer. 😂. I told my wife that I’ll pull ahead about 25 ft and then back up to where she spotted us…made all the difference in the world.
This was kinda long winded, but information I felt is critical for you guys to know and share as well.

If you’re not in a hurry to get to your destination maybe set your gps to avoid tolls?
We also have the MorRyde IS. You really have to keep an eye on your tire wear. When it gets out of alignment, it tears up tires fast. Also, not all alignment shops are the same. Even the ones on the MorRyde list. We went to a shop in Phoenix that was horrible,and expensive. We found one in San Diego that did a great job for a reasonable price.
We get 10-11 mpg when towing with the Ram HO with 4:10 gearing. Our RV is 20k lbs.
Good to know! Yes, Im definitely going to watch those tires more closely now! Good to know on your MPG also. We have the 3.73 gears and are just under 17k. We've been at that 10-11 mpg so far... but might break in as we get some milage on the truck. 👍

There is a Garmin GPS product that you can enter the height and length of your vehicle for safe navigations. I don't remember the model number but, it might save you the $60/month.

In your last video, you talked about possibly lowering the truck, as you believed the trailer was riding nose high. I saw that the alignment shop had the trailer on portable scales. Is the load spread equally between both axles or is one axle carrying more weight than the other?
Secondly, for mounting your camera. If you purchase one of the magnets typically used for magnet fishing and glue the magnet to your mount, then take a 3"X5" piece of steel and tape it in the back inside the back window of the trailer, gives a higher view and will deter theft of the camera and give you a very solid mount.
Yes, I was worried we were riding high and were over 13'6'' on height. But we've since been on 2 ferries and 2 tunnels at 13'6'' and were good. So I think we're ok on level.

Does your Ram have the Camera package? I’m guessing not if you are looking for an alternative. Ours has the 360 cameras and you can select cargo and back up the the hitch. Love your videos.

Wow.. I wish it only cost me around $100 for a fill-up.. I live in canada and have a 37-gallon tank to fill it from empty, which is $245 right now in BC.. plus our money is worth 30% less than you're guys money. The difference should help you out when you come to Canada..safe travels

I love RV Life Pro Trip Wizard and use it for all my travel planning, but have pined over the fact that it lacks Android Auto support. This has left me with Waze, which is great in a car, but totally sucks for RV use. Seeing RV Life Pro Trip Wizard Nav now has an Android Auto version coming out (now in beta?) on your channel was awesome news! I have reached out to their support team to try to get added to their beta test list.

I have a 2012 Dodge 2500 67 Cummins and a 6 and 1/2 bad. I get just about 18 mi to a gallon and almost about 9 1/2 mi to the gallon towing R 40 ft travel trailer

I ordered my Ram also with the mega cab, I was wondering how you like the fifth wheel hitch over a goose neck hitch? I love rvlife pro for all my trip planning. I also have the truckers road atlas to verify roads and heights and always a paper map. Traveling primarily in remote areas in west. For some reason in the past few months google maps has been taking me on very bad routing. There is a comment on here about Apple Maps. I am starting to use this much more. Am also trying the camera. Have tried two others and they work once or twice then stop. I hope this one will work better. Frustrated.

90 days in the Keys? You’ve been in FL more than us and we’re residents. Was your stay all TT? We use Gapmin for GPS. RV Life is great for trip planning but their GPS function sucks. We usually use a phone map as a back up.

Hey guys, have a safe trip! Regarding the rear alignment - how could the upgraded independent suspension system get so out of whack and cause that much tire wear? Wow, disappointing. Hopefully the warranty covers all your expenses. Let us know. 🙂
Hey thanks! It's really hard to know how it got knocked out of alignment. But we do have 10k miles and 10 months of full-time travel and that is the blind side tire. It's easy to rub that on a curb or a campsite patio or something. I'll have to keep an eye on the tire wear. We got a new tire coming from warranty. 👍
Wife and I are looking at the ORV 22FQS for full time. Do you remember your towing mpg back then?
We got upwards of 12-13 mpg towing the 22fqs with the power stroke.
hope your Canada journey can include Newfoundland. It is different than any other N American area. (take your jackets).
About how many miles were on the Cooper Work Series tire? and would you buy something different?
About 10k miles. I like the tires and the other 3 still show almost full thread on the "Cooper Wear Square".

We're also dealing with an alignment issue in the same wheel position for our 2022 Paradigm 385FL. How did you find the alignment shop that could handle a full sized RV? We have used RVLife for our GPS, but after our first trip purchased a Garmin RV-890. RVLife ran us down a closed road/bridge and have had multiple unexplained u-turns. Garmin has had a few as well but nowhere near the GPS issues with RVLife. Very happy with RVLife Pro for our trip planning and route verifications.

I don’t think Canada allows you to bring pepper spray in so check on that before heading across the border. If it is back in your RV, they will make you go back and get it and delay your entry.

Hello! They are 235 80 r17. I think the same size RAM has been using for a bit. I've seen people put the next size of tire on these rims at 255/80 r 17. But any larger and you need a spacer for the dullys. 👍

We did end up getting one last year. Love it! It’s up high by our rear view on the driver side. Works at most tolls across the country as well like ez pass. 👍

Yes, it works through AppleCarplay on the truck screen. Thats is RV Life on the screen when I showed it. Not sure about android auto.... But it should work with Ford Sync3 and 4.
Unfortunately not on fords sync 4.unless you buy some addon aftermarket stuff. Lucky you 👍👍
