Commissioner Sewell gave one of the best eulogies Ive seen in a long time. There was emotion and personality behind he eulogy. I have a feeling that she's going to be great for the NYPD.
I will admit it, she is the right leader for this time. This was her officer she lost and she is doing what she can as Commissioner. Now it's on Bragg, either he makes assualt of police a crime, or he steps down. Make your choice DA Bragg.

In NY the mayor is a Democrat. Of the 51 city council seats 46 are held by Democrats. The AG is a Democrat. The DA is a Democrat. The Police Commissioner is appointed by the mayor. The issues NYC is having are the fault of the Democratic Party. The most recent Republican mayor of New York City served from 1994-2001.

He's gonna be better then the last administration." Then I chime in a say, HE'S A DEMOCRAT and the operative word is WAS a Cop, now he's a politician and a democrat at that. He's not going to have the back of the cops, he's not going to change anything because thus far he still hasn't given the right police powers back to the cops, he hasn't fought tooth and nail to protect his supposed brother's and sister's in blue. He's done the opposite. The first day in office he criticized the NYPD because it took them too long to respond to a fight on the subway platform. Adams tried giving his brother a $210,000/yr as head of his (Adams) mayoral detail. Yet the "conflict of interest" board felt that was in appropriate when the NYPD Mayoral detail is responsible for the Mayor's protective detail. So, bernard (adam's brother) will be diretor of the external mayoral support detail and has taken that job for $1/year. If you ask me it seems a little suspicious taking a $209,000/yr pay cut. Mayor Giuliani was NYC's GREATEST AND BEST MAYOR IN HISTORY. NYS and NYC needs to wake up and turn the city and state red.
One other thing. The PC may have been appointed by the Mayor, but she runs the NYPD not the mayor. Bernard Kerik was appointed by Giuliani and Kerik ended up having A LOT of state, city and federal felonies. He even did time in a federal prison. Howard Saffir and Ray Kelly were terrible Commissioners. Then look at Commissioner Bratton and James O'Neill who both resigned because of the Mayor's tactics and his trying to dictate how the NYPD is supposed to be ran. Commissioner Bratton is and was the BEST POLICE COMMISSIONERS NYPD HAS EVER HAD.
