My son was just born yesterday on august.24. It's nice the support men give each other on RUclips. Two years in now, you must have a toddler. Hope you've enjoyed every milestone that passed and yet to come brother. To all the other fathers, nothing we can't do that we can't learn on RUclips.

@@SharkyG23 my daughter ended up hating the swaddle all together. we gave her a onesie that i warmed up in the dryer and she passed out. wrapped her with a blanket when she fell asleep but she needed her hands free

Just had a baby boy 4 days ago. I was able to watch this video one time and learn the swaddle after 2 tries. Going on day 5 and he sleeps through all three hour sessions till feeding in the same swaddle. Thanks
First time dad here too, we just had our first night at home together, if there's any advice I would give to any parents to be.. Make the most of the free uniteruppted sleep because once babies here that's gone 😂
And once baby is out of that newborn stage, they dont sleep quite as soundly either 😭
My baby is high school now, but I want to tell you: don't waddle baby. It is a terrible thing to do. Imagine tie your arms together the whole night. When doctors are stupid they are really harmful, because people trust them. I know their argument, they are wrong. Don't do that to your baby.
I didn't want 2 swaddle either. But my 4.5 weeks year old will not sleep or relax without being confined. I just make sure the blanket isn't loose and up around her face and that she has enough slack to move around if she needs.

Used this to swaddle my daughter after feeding her and she immediately settled and went to sleep long enough for my wife and I to get some rest. You are so blessed to know this. The Christmas story always said the baby Jesus was wrapped in a swaddling cloth, but I never heard what that was until I typed "swaddling cloth" on the RUclips search line and found this video. If I remember right Dr Spock said let the baby cry for two hours one night then one hour the next night then I would be trained to get itself to sleep. I don't know if that ever worked. My children were born in the 1960s

Second time dad here. With my 1st born I used to position her arms to her side as recommend by the midwife. So with my now second born I adapted the same method, assuming it would work in the same manner as it proven to work first time. Didn’t work at all… So I went RUclips diving and saw the difference of the arm placement in this video… Immediate results!!! Little one is all passed. So definitely check out the difference in arm placement when swaddling. Best of luck and wishes in your parenting journey

First time i saw the nurse do this after my daughter was born, it was like a samurai skill level lmaoo. All my attempts to replicate ended in a what looked like a poorly wrapped burrito lmaoo.

Why does every swaddle video from the hospital have substantially larger blankets than what we just got provided with to use?
I've tried different methods and still my baby gets his arms out and even pushes down over his chest.
