Honestly, the videos of the "ugly" trims speak a lot more to your passion, skill, and empathy that the routine ones. Not that everyone should be something like this, and those do also show your dedication. But I feel these, and follow-ups, showcase the care that you, and the farmers provide for the cattle.
Safe travels and worthwhile trims Mr Parker.

    • @dirtymoney7783

Some of it is inevitable. Cows just aren't as hardy as wild animals, because they don't have predators culling out every single one that goes lame. But yes there are big differences that can be made in husbandry, which is why Graeme endorses Easyfix products. Barns outfitted with their fixtures are safer and have significantly fewer injuries to the cows' feet and legs. But even living outdoors in a fairly natural environment was hard on this cow, just because of a particularly wet season.

Just amazes me at how come and nonchalant these cows are while you're working on their foot. It is just amazing

Today is Mothers Day here in Australia so please pass on my good wishes to your lovely wives, partners and mothers. They must be proud to have such wonderful, caring men in their lives.
My grandmother come over from Scotland as a child in the 1890's and right up to her death, she still had a touch of the brogue, and listening to you guys brings back my memories of her. She died when I was 15 in 1980 and was one tough woman! It is a dream of mine to one day visit Scotland and see where she and that part of my family came from.
Love you guys and thank you for showing it how it is, working with animals isn't sunshine and rainbows always, sometimes it's floods and drought but seeing the reality shows you are willing to show us the balance, the truth that farm work is. I spent 25 years working in the dairy industry and know just how important the treatment of the cows is, how keeping them healthy keeps them happy and makes for better products in the long run.

So glad you care about these cows and make a difference to thier lives.
It's sad in a way to hear that this farm has great aftercare; it would have been better for this poor cow if there was some preventative care....
Thanks to HGP Team for doing their amazing work for amazing cows! 💙💛💚

It is so nice seeing the cow after treatment realise what you have done for her and turns round to show you she appreciates your work. That must make you feel good at what you do. There are not many jobs that can give that sort of feeling.

Where are all the people telling us cows just need to live outside all the time to be healthy?!? Obviously this is an outlier, but so are most of the other bad trims you show us. I can tell you that I wouldn't be skipping out like that if half or my foot was rotting away though! 😅

It does look rough which is why it's so important to show these too. My great grandfather would have loved you and your compassion and understanding of animals. I'm very happy to see her walk away utilising the block so well and I loved the magic bit, gave a bit of cheer to a sad goings-on ❤
