They remove Wonder Woman's belt to make her helpless and lock her in a jail cell in a ghost town. Wonder Woman breaks out of the cell with some help from her new friends. Clip is from the season one episode "The Bushwackers".

Gail Gadot is great, but Lynda Carter is the perfect Wonder Woman,
Always
Gail does not make a Wonder Women. No matter how much they tried to force her on us.
They cast a Mediterranean woman with actual military experience. Can't fault that.
These characters are forever so must be re cast many times. Susan Eisenberg voice acting is also strongly associated with WW.
@@crhu319 You do understand everyone in their country has to join the Military. Does not mean anything. Fought and Trained with a lot of Military Men. Did not give them any type of edge what so ever. Means nothing. Unless your a Seal or some Special Forces. She was just a Grunt. Plus this is the Movies. You do not need to know how to fight at all. It all make believe. You just need to look the part and able to have basic acting skills.
Stop that lying 🤥😒
This was one of my favorite episodes growing up! I'm convinced this is where my love of horses comes from too...
That's nice! 😀
No one can replace Lynda Carter as Wonder woman
I luvvv the way WW feels her waist still in disbelief the 2:11 the magic belt is gone.
The thing is- SHE (Lynda Carter) believed in this character and made her 3-dimensional. THATS an actress. She could've taken the easy route and played her comic book/campy style, but Lynda chose to show Diana/WW's vulnerabilities, foibles and strengths. Kudos to her.
Lynda Carter... 3 dimensional... Yes... yes she is.. AND yes she is phenomenal :-) Loved when she appeared in Sky High as a nod to her WW years
Roy Rogers on Wonder woman is great guest star
Anyone worth their salt would know, that the belt only gives her super strength, but she is an amazon in her own right, and pretty much a bad arse warrior, I doubt those two flunkies would be close to a match with or without her belt lol
It had to be humbling to have the magic belt removed again. At least in Fausta WW was passed out and in Judgement, she was fighting off a room full of Nazis. Here it's just a couple heels and one of them manages to sneak up behind her and yank it off while she is being distracted by the other. Diana should have been required by the Queen to return to Paradise Island to undergo remedial Amazon training.
The way I recall it, on the show she had her strength and powers while she was on Paradise Island but needed the belt to maintain her powers whenever she wasn’t on the island.
Lynda Carter is always going to be the *Gold Standard* for Wonder Woman!
Absolutely! Even though the series may seem a bit campy by today's standards, Lynda's strong performance and beauty holds up over time.
@@WonderWomanTVHD Not just that, but her approachability was also a strong factor too. She always gave the impression that if you were to meet her on the street, you'd have no trouble speaking to her.
@@WonderWomanTVHD had not seen wonder woman twirling by air yet
100 percent. Her costume is better than Gal's too, even though I like Gal's.
@@celebwrestling
The current version of Wonder Woman, with Gal Gadot, has plenty of Wonder Woman followers on why did DC Comics pick her as Wonder Woman if her version is full of crap?
Fact about this episode: Roy Rodgers thought the original wonder Woman custom was inappropriate to wear around the kids in this episode, so they had her dress in the red blouse and white pants- which still worked. Note; she did wear the custom at the end around them for the final scene. Lynda Carter truly brought this comic book character to life. Fond memories of this show growing up; especially the first season set in WWII👍❤!
Correct, there was a long list of demands by Roy Rogers. The network was anxious to accept his terms, as he was in semi-retirement at the time.
@@WonderWomanTVHD
I don't understand something. Maybe you can help me out on it.
John wrote: ". . .Note: she did wear the custom at the end. . .".
My question is: Who is she???
@@SOCORROSILVA-in7px Roy Rodgers thought that the WW custom Lynda Carter wore on the show was inappropriate to be worn through out that particular episode, because of the children who were featured in it. Thus, she wore the red blouse and white pants (which by the way was similar to Cathy Lee Crosby's version of WW in the 1974 tv movie but instead of the white pants she wore a white skirt w/a red blouse). But at the end of that Roy Rodgers (WW) episode, Lynda Carter wore the red, white and blue bikini costume around the featured children as her character was saying goodbye to all of them.
Season 1 WW was much nicer than season 2&3 version.
My favorite is Lynda Carter 4ever
She still will be the best wonder woman
Awesome! So beautiful and courageous!
Here was a strong female character without being annoyingly woke.
She comes off as kinda a pushover here lol
Loved Wonder Woman's Western Outfit in this Episode. A Friend of mine Customized a Doll to look like her. I still have it to this day.
Lynda Carter is the perfect woman period
Like the incredible Hulk TV series, they made Wonder Woman more vulnerable to give the enemies a chance to fight against her
The show always was inconsistent in showing Wonder Womans powers, especially in personal fights during the first season. She can bend steel and stop trucks with her bare hands, but she struggles in this scene when the man grabs her? The other man did eventually take off her magic "belt of strength" but before that she should have been able to toss them around like nothing with her superhuman strength. There are multiple other times during the first season that she gets into a hand-to-hand fight with her adversaries especially "normal" women and it always seems like the fight is a struggle for her.
@@brendankelly2653 I wholeheartedly agree that Lynda's beauty and sex appeal is what kept the show running for as long as it did and makes it easy to overlook the plot holes and inconsistences. It seemed like the writers were writing for a Saturday morning kids show rather than a superhero drama.
That’s because this version of Wonder Woman is just eye candy for the audience.
No more than a sex object.
She’s only here to be looked at.
To be a living bondage fetish.
She has no real fighting power.
Lynda’s beauty and sex appeal is ONLY reason people even ACKNOWLEDGE this portrayal of WW!
It’s the only thing that really kept the show going.
Cus sexy female lead = big bucks
Wonder Woman has a very looooong history of bondage.
And this is why…
Because she makes it look hot!
Cus let’s face it, everyone loves a hot damsel in distress.
And who’s hotter than Woman?
I was always amazed at how easily in the first season that bad guys could take off Wonder Woman's "power" belt. You would think that a "belt" would be more securely fastened but there were several instances in the first season that men took the belt off of her with just a simple tug. They must have had a different set of writers for the second and third season because they never had anyone trying to take off her belt after the first season.
I agree. When I wear a belt with jeans or dress pants, it's always securely looped through all the 'belt loops' found in most men's pants. So there's no way anybody could easily rip my belt off me.
That is a great question, you'd think something so important to her be would secured with more than just a little strip of Velcro. In seasons 2 and 3 the belt was a little more discreet, it didn't have the big flap in the back that any heel could just yank and remove.
@@ronjohnson3129 It appears that in the first season, her "magic:" belt was an actual accessory in her costume attached with a simple Velcro attachment and was totally separate from the bustier style top. When they revamped the costume for the 2nd and 3rd season, the belt was an actual part of the top "bustier" part of the costume, and you can see the lines of the belt directly flow into the eagle design across her chest while in the first season it did not.
Wonder Woman is beautiful
That was always so stupid that her strength came from her belt 🤣
But She don't need a magic belt.
She is a goddess
No. She wasn't ever a goddess. Wonder Woman was an Amazonian and had super strength and agility. She was given special gifts, like her sword, lasso and shield from the gods. It wasn't until later that DC writers threw in that goddess bullshit to make her more like Thor (was is supposed to be a god), but Marvel lowered his standings and made him more a strong man with a hammer.
@@mikewazowski350 is in figurative way!
Thank God they changed this thing about her magic belt, cause anyone could just snatch her belt and
Do what they want with her, very humiliation to her and her character
Good to have a weakness otherwise the character is OP
@@JohnGoetzGaming So do you think the new Wonder Woman is OP?
@@daveofsteel4949
Yes absolutely. Although the new movie they found another way to take away her powers. It made for a great fight scene in the Whitehouse (one of the few good scenes in that movie)
@@JohnGoetzGaming Haven't seen it yet
@@JohnGoetzGaming In the 1940s comics if her bracelets were chained together she would lose her powers.
Her jaw lines and shoulders increases when she is riding! Amazing 😮
The last thing a bad guy would even think of doing to Wonder Woman is taking off her belt. It's a fair game to anybody (men/women) once the belt comes off, even Wonder Woman.
Lynda Carter was a great Wonder Woman
I love Wonder Woman. She is my favorite superhero 🦸♀️ horses 🐎 are my favorite animal
I'm surprised they didn't give her this pantsuit costume in the comics in the 1940s, that bathing suit was pretty risqué back then.
I think the pants should have been Blue with stars, like her shorts
@@leroykevin Yes and they would not have been prone to get dirty (like white pants) from all that horseback riding.
Lynda Carter is simply FABULOUS & so beautiful 😻 so classy the original WW okay 👍🏼
I love wonder woman 🥰.
At 1:54 it's her double being dragged through the jail doorway. Short Legs are the giveaway.
lol yes and they didnt eve bother helping poor diana
0.26 stunt woman on horseback.
Outstanding.
It's a good thing that Charlie and his young, western, multi-racial posse showed up when they did! Well done lads.
The Diversity Junior Rangers.
She wore her regular Wonder Woman costume at the first part of this episode. She had to wear this red/white outfit at Roy Rogers insistence because he didn't think it was right for her to be dressed so skimpy in front of the kids. Come on Roy, what's more patriotic than that costume?
As she was to ride a horse, I think it made sense, as she would have gotten dirty. Not sure white pants were the best choice.
It's not the Olympics 🤣😂👻😂
You don't want WW to chafe her thighs when she's riding.
I loved this show when I was a kid. But I still find it funny the kids mouths dropped open when she put the belt on and pulled the bars apart. The kids literally put the belt on the tree trunk to make it stronger and bash the door down so they knew it was behind her strength (in the show, we all know she doesn’t need it in the comics)
Gorgeous woman. Love her

WONDER WOOMAANN !!!!
The editing made it look at first like she noped right out of there when she saw the snake. It was another 8 seconds or so before you I realized she was chasing the boy on a runaway horse. Also that looks like the same bridge from the pilot episode of Deep Space 9.
2:46 when the boys realize what they are looking for in a girl.
Lynda Carter is Awesome in this one.
WW was supposed to be much stronger with her belt, however, even without she was an amazon and according to Episode 1, the best one. Not just any other woman.
I know the plot was asking for it, but it is a retcon then…
The belt retains her Amazon powers when she's away from Paradise Island. Without it she isn't any stronger than a normal human. On the island she has the powers without the belt.

And the comics is it is her mother that has the magic girdle that gives the Amazon their strength
Gee whiz, I never even noticed the belt...
the 70s hulk was far more impressive in strength. he would just went thru the wall

Roy Rogers in a "Wonder Woman" episode? Wow. I guess I just was not old enough to appreciate Roy as a guest star when I saw this episode as a preteen. Does anyone remember if Roy sang in the episode? Serenading Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman would have been a priceless TV moment.
He did not sing in this episode. Roy Rogers was in semi retirement at the time. The show felt lucky to have him as a guest and met several of his requests for this episode concerning the children. One of those requests was a less sexy Wonder Woman outfit.
Too bad Trigger didn't make it into the Episode.
I alwys love wonder woman .
Unfortunately she could be easily defeated once they took her magic belt off.
She should learn some kungfu
Great to see Roy Rogers!!!
Roy Rogers Starred in Over a Hundred Westerns and he even had his own TV Series.
The cops knew about the magic belt because WW told the children and one of them told the cops.
Roy Rogers them bad guy’s better look out with WW there’s no stopping them
Es hermosa
Continuity is not absolute in superhero fiction. Her origin in the 1940s comic book was that she was molded from clay by Hippolyta and brought to life by Zeus. In another incarnation she is the product of a union between Zeus and Hippolyta. There is no guarantee that a future movie director or comic writer won't use another origin. Remember Wonder Woman used to travel in a transparent airplane. In some recent incarnations she can fly. I think maybe the Daleks taught her that. Once you could escape them by going up or down stairs. Now they can fly.
Yes, stairs once the kryptonite to mechanical villains such as the ED-209 from the first "Robocop" film or the Daleks.
She just could not be Wonder Woman without the magic belt! Just another woman!
Lynda Carter made a sappy script znd character no doubt made to make her look like a woman version of Adam west batman instead of a good show. Her attention to detail and her own take of the character made the show a great show. 👍well done lynda.
The writing on the show was always like it was a Saturday morning kids show more than a serious superhero drama. I agree that it was Lynda's charisma, beauty and sex appeal that kept the show on for as long as it ran and made her the iconic look that everyone thinks of when they imagine Wonder Woman.
The black child grows up to be 'Neal' on YR.
Wonder Women does not have a Magic belt to give her, her powers. But guess everyone knows that but the Director. Bahahaha

@1:25 did Linda do her own stunt on the horse? that's pretty dangerous.
Imagine there's an 'easter egg' scene in this Wonder Woman were Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman who gets to drives the 'De Lorean' (Back to the future).
That's 70 Lynda Carter still looks good anybody want to go for plastic surgery

2:38 this is what modern version are lacking. in this series she a kind person not so much now
to be fair, in the snyder cut she was so kind to the children after saving them from the terrorists
Snyder Cut was an Atrocity. Wonder Woman Slices A Villain's Head Off With No Compunction Whatsoever.
That belt looks so small, would barely fit anyone.
Why cant she fight?
She could have, but getting away would have been a coin toss without her powers. Better to buy time and work out an escape strategy.
@@LadyDeirdreyes without her powers she is a regular woman and she is weaker than a man now, if she fights like this she would be defeated and even hurt, but with her magic belt on theres no man who can beat her in fair fight
I wonder if Steve Austin ever did a stint in that same jail cell?
Of course; but it was short stay as well. Old iron bars were no match for the modern bionics of 1970's television.
It's nonsense that WW is helpless without her belt.
She got boobola, which is the true source of her power.
@Timothy Mckee Lynda Carter would never have been a thing if not for the 37Ds, baby! That is the greatest strength a woman can have in all the universe.

Of course we all know the belt thing is total crap.
Yup, not canon in any Wonder Woman story.
At 1:45 you can see her horse being held by a crew member. Right of screen.
Actually, that is one of the orphan kids following Wonder Woman on another horse. Her horse runs off, but not shown on screen. If you look at the horse the kid is holding, there is a large patch of white on the face, where Wonder Woman's horse has none.
