I always thought it was hilarious how they depicted Wonder Woman's invisible plane by making it look like everything was made out of clear plastic! In reality if such a thing existed it would probably be a force field like the cloaking device on Star Trek where from the inside it would look like a completely normal plane interior
I never understood the point of the invisible plane if she wasn’t invisible herself while flying it. If the plane acted more like a cloaked Klingon ship it would make sense.

Where did they get the technology not only to build the plane but out of some kind of transparent material?

I love her big blue eyes! I’m going to be WW for a costume party. I was only 4 when I was watching WW every week. Every Saturday morning there is a repeat of WW on the heroes and icons channel at 10 AM. I set my DVR. I love it. So many memories come flooding back of better days and better times. I also see re runs of Sanford and Son. I watched that with my dad as a small kid. Lynda Carter still looks great. I saw her cameo in the second WW movie. Her daughter looks a lot like her. Tall long brown hair.

Back in the '30s, there was a series of pulp fiction books called "The Avenger", and later "Justice Inc." ( DC comics later bought and used the character, btw. ) One of the stories involved a plane that was completely transparent... except for the piston engine. The people on the ground described it as looking like a man pushing a barrel across the sky. lol

Reading the Golden Age comics that I had missed out on before, and it's surprising how much William Marston (and his assistant/ghost-writer Joye Hummel) were inspired by the pulps.
Yes, this show was super cheesy (even for it's day), but it was riffing golden-age comic books so it's easy to forgive. As many have said, Ms. Carter was the glue that held this show together, and it wasn't just her amazing looks, but her understanding of the character. She plays it so earnest, you can't help but feel her sincerity. Look at the way she delivers the "I wonder" (4:11) line at the end of this clip. She's great. All that said, this scene is hilarious! My favorite part is Steve's line "It's a robot!" (2:35). Makes me laugh every time. Not to mention the villain controlling it with that Atari paddle controller. I should also comment that only Lynda Carter could upstage equally gorgeous Stephanie Beacham in the same scene.
I doubt it was considered cheesy at the time. There werent many women starring action tv shows and kicking man butts before her. Writing and stories could have been much better, no question on that. But the action scenes are underrated. The stunt woman did that 3/4 meter high jump herself.

Many of the times in the comics there's a level of suspension of disbelief since it also renders the occupants invisible.
