    While it's good that Tyree's been improving this season, gotta give props to coach Rob Leonard since he's made lemonade out of lemons this entire season with how many injuries have affected the Dline.

      Truth. The Hawaiian homie, chaisson, butler, Tyree have all shown a lot of growth. I hope we can give koonce and chaisson similar 1-2 year deals to earn a big contract later. One of those two has to play out while maybe Tyree does

    Tyree reminds me of the early years of Armstead and Buckner (both my brother and best friend are Niners fans so I've watched a lot of Niner games), both were first round picks that started their careers pretty slow, or were at least almost considered busts for a while and then they finally clicked and both of them have been beast for a few years now. Not every 1st round pick is a complete stud their first year or two in the NFL, some take a while....

    Tyree, like Clelin needs to be in the right system to flourish. His game will be hit or miss until he dedicates himself to some new moves he can be confident in - he is flashing and I expect him to reach his peak next year

  • @KennyP99941
    @KennyP99941 20 дней назад

    Good to see Tyree playing well. Fans really need to lower expectations in the first two years on draft picks. Meaning most players are not stepping on the field day 1 and become superstars and when they don't they are labeled busts. Players like Key and Cle were label busts, they are still in the league collecting checks and playing better for other organizations than they did here. Key for example in the 4 years since he left this organization started 27 games for 3 organization and recorded 23 sacks. He had 3 sacks in three year for the Raiders. Cle has started 27 games in 2 seasons for 2 playoff teams and started for a Super Bowl team with the 3rd ranked defense in the league. But couldn't start for a 6 win Raiders team. They will never be all-pro caliber players but they start games in this league. It takes time, sometimes years for players to get it. Wilson was coming off a serious injury last year and it was a redshirt year. Wilson has a couple of things you can't size and strength. His football IQ needs to get better but that will happen with time. I think next years of season will be a telling point of his trajectory. If he can mix in a couple of pass rush moves, we may have something.

    • @alphaomega354
      @alphaomega354 19 дней назад

      Cle was an elite run stopper when we released him. I liked him a lot. We’re still struggling to replace him (in terms of run stop)

    • @KennyP99941
      @KennyP99941 19 дней назад

      @@alphaomega354 The issue with Cle is that we drafted him at #4. He was never going to be Bosa and thats what the Raiders expected and wanted. The Raiders need draft pick to be stars on day one. CLe will have 10 year career and be a solid player, but never make a pro bowl. That isn't good enough for Raider fans. Id he was drafted in the 3rd round, fans would have been happy but he wasn't.

    I wouldn't say Clelin was a "really really good" run defender. I'd say he was solid. Remember when he would get confused and caught up between blocks when they'd run directly at him? He was better in situations, where maybe he could chase down a lateral run or some such. Tyree is improving from more reps sure, but what's missing is I don't see much improvement in hand technique, which is the only way to get to the next level. Once up he was always quick and he's always been strong. He needs a real DL coach and pass rushing coach, who can patiently teach him and make him do push ups when he goes back to brute strength.

      He's trying to show that Tyree is slowly improving, still a far cry form being a good defensive end with double digit sacks in a season, but he's not completely worthless either.
      Tyree got his faults when you compare him to Chaisson who was also a first round pick for DE. I do agree with SanjiT wherein Tyree may never be able to pull off the same techniques that Chaisson can do with that speedy double handed swipe to an OT during the pass rush because Tyree doesn't have that level of agility and speed, but incremental improvements in him not going for a straight line bull rush and diversifying his techniques will help his production.

    • @grayjusa
      @grayjusa 20 дней назад +1

      Those are hard tackles to make. Elite players like Maxx make those. Way I see it Tyree is that close to making that tackle for a loss. He just needs to get a little better at his game to get there. With more experience we should expect him too. He did a great job with reacting to the play, beat the block and was there for any cut back. Funneled the play to our lbs.

    I always want to say positive things about this kid, but he is consistently the slowest person of the line that I have ever seen. I honestly believe he is too long to be in a 3 or 4 point stance and should start his rush standing. 80+% of the time, every single lineman on both sides of the ball have taken a full step before he even moves. He is strong, but has the body control of a newborn calf and it is clear as day every single time a qb side steps him and he can't control his body.
    I was a huge fan and thought drafting him was the right move (Carter was too risky imo) but he just has not transitioned to the NFL.

    7th overall. Will never make a pro bowl. Cle 2.0. BUST!!!!
    BOWERS is what a first round pick should be. Blows up the record books his first yr. Future HoF. Greatest player in history at his position. If Tyree was Brock, he would have had 23 sacks his rookie yr.
    Tyree should be cut. Snowden, Koonce, Chaison, Crosby. They are all light yrs better.

    Raiders should not trade up , pick up QB in later rounds. Pls take a look at Tommy Mellott, fast, mobile, winnner,and going for national championship.

    I dont find it a suprise that this guy is finding success when teams are in tank mode😂 if he doesnt put that work in this off season i just dont see it. We have other players at that position better than him like koonce. Koonce missed the season due to an injury but would be a huge mistake to let him go, in hopes that tyree steps up to take his place. Koonce is a better player and tape shows it. The charger game to end the season is a test for tyree but win or loose chargers make playoffs so dont be suprised if there starters get benched.
