Amazing ;) I just ordered my very first and very very cheap violin and checking out all sorts of videos while waiting for it to ship :D This seems like a nice page to learn stuff from.. keep up the good work! subbed!
Will do. Glad you like it. Join my forum too for plenty of tips, friends and motivation. fiddlerman.com/forum
I'm ahead of you :D already did that right after my first comment hehe :D On the other hand.. my violin has arrived.. aaaand you get what you pay for right? :) Sometimes slightly less.. So it has plastic tuning pegs which don't fit / slip no matter how hard I try to push in or rewind the strings against the box :P Slightly unhappy..
Darn :( Can you return it? We have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee here at Fiddlershop.com
Yea so I heard :) Unfortunately this was ordered from a music store here in Europe and I could probably return it, though I might just keep it to practice around with... The hair on the bow is also made of plastic so rosin doesn't stick very well. :P Managed to get it to produce some sound and butchered twinkle twinkle on it haha... But it kinda makes me sad that they sell these. I mean I can 'manage' since even though this is the first time I pick up a violin.. I play guitars.. ukuleles.. piano.. so that helps, but I can imagine a complete beginner trying to figure out where to put his fingers on an instrument that constantly under-tunes itself.. and it's painful :D
Anyway.. the violin is a Stagg VN4-4 (that's their brutally simple code for it..) and it cost like 90$ with a promotion (otherwise it's 115-ish) which makes it a joke and a mere toy compared to the 109 dollar violin that you made a video about..
As long as you can use it right? :) Good luck!!!
Love it! Is that a MJZ Guarneri or Strad version?
I believe it was a Guarneri pattern. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
I'm very appreciated for this scores . Could you add a 2nd violinist part in the PDF , please ?
Both parts are there. Look a bit lower to where I wrote "DUET from Week #25"
Glad you appreciate it. :)
bravo
Thanks
Can you do a Grateful Dead tune at some point? Huge Dead Head!!
Which tune in particular would you like to hear?
Cool
Thank you!
Fiddlerman, what fittings are on that 925? It seems a bit redder than boxwood? Thanks!
They are redder. They are made of Rosewood.

This song reminds me of my grandfather. I sung this to my son every night so he could sleep, and still do when he is sick! It would be nice to play it to him instead. No matter how difficult I'll work endlessly until it's heard in full glory!
Ps. Thanks for everything you Do! I'll pay you whatever you think it's worth to teach me this song (for your inconvenience, I know you are a busy man).
