    So basically Stroll doesn't know what's the fastest way to drive an F1 car in his 7th season

      He’s been a waste of a seat since 2020. Has done nothing significant since that pole lap in turkey that year. Lawrence Stroll’s ownership of Racing Point/Aston Martin is the only reason why he had chance after 2018 lol any other pay driver would’ve been kicked out a long time ago.

    Not only has he a bad habit of braking to late but i can also imagine that the tyres get more heated up because of increased load on the front of the car while turning in.
    This would also explain why he can't keep a tight line trough the high speed corners and has to step off the gas by quite a lot later in sector 3.

    • @quentinhirschfeld9382
      @quentinhirschfeld9382 8 месяцев назад

      The problem isn't that he brakes late, the problem is that his range of inputs are completely out of touch with how the car is reacting.
      Carlos Sainz is also a late braker, but he has found a groove Lance is unable too.

    That's incredible that he brakes later than Alonso in every single corner, every single session, every single race!
    However he continues to make this mistake throughout the season
    I can't understand how is that possible on this level

      It could be that Stroll is running more downforce on his car allowing him to brake later. Perez usually out brakes Verstappen for the same reason

      Pérez brakes later because because his only goal when he enters a corner is to open the angle as much as he can and make sure the rear of the car is stable (a bit like Sainz), Verstappen on the other hand is a pro-active driver, his corner is much shorter and his range of inputs are always in perfect touch to how the car is reacting.

    What I find perplexing more than anything, is that with his father sinking all he has into the team and it's personnel, he hasn't had coaching to get him to adjust his style. Or maybe he has and he just has a bad attitude like what we saw on Saturday.

    • @SkodaYetiFan
      @SkodaYetiFan 8 месяцев назад

      Lawrence Stroll’s investment in Aston surely has to be more than just making sure his son is in F1. If providing lance with a F1 seat was his only objective he would’ve taken the easier route of paying an already existing team to give him a seat rather than buying a broke team and building them back up. That’s something I highly admire and respect.

    • @shig.bitz.3205
      @shig.bitz.3205 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@SkodaYetiFan Yeah definitely agree with you there. I'm just confused as to why he's not improving. If basic things like braking too late and not maximising corner exit speeds is what's holding Stroll back, I find it hard to believe that people like his race engineer aren't picking up on this and coaching him on it. Perhaps even Alonso's brake balance advice to Stroll earlier this season alludes to the fact this has been something Stroll has consistently struggled with. I can't pass judgement for sure, but the few insights we have paint a damning picture for Stroll.

      @@shig.bitz.3205 I guess that’s more to do with arrogance and a lack of talent unfortunately. He will definitely have a team of performance engineers and driving coaches giving him advice, putting that advice into practice is up to him.
