It's so good to see how much Oscar has opened up over the season, he seemed quite shy at the start but alongside Lando he's become so much more comfortable

It wouldn't as 2016 was personal, people forget how nasty that got behind the scenes. 2021 was largely on track
@@luciferrussell6874 From what I have seen current era drivers know how to separate on track and personal relationships mostly. I don't think Max and Lewis relationship will go really ugly on a personal level if they were on same team for championship fight.

Well, yeah, it sounds weird if you think about it in the moment, but if we think about it...
McLaren and Williams are also just last names turned into iconic teams.

Ferrari, Haas, (alfa) Romeo and (aston) Martin are all also last names hahaha
Its true of so many manufacturers as well. Many are last names of founders
@@zephyr6877 Yup, other examples that get into my mind are Pagani or Lamborghini. It takes some time to get used to, but maybe in the future Piastri may really be a thing? We'll never know

Honestly I'm surprised that these two are getting along well already. When Daniel first joined it was so awkward. Hoping for a good result for them. Also I'm pretty sure you never thought you'd be interviewing the drivers a couple years back. Must be a dream come true right?

I think it was awkward with Daniel because all the fans expected them to immediately bond and be best bros but it didn’t work out that way

The #2 realistic version is very good! Hopefully you'll get a chance to have one of your designs featured in a race someday. The liveries you make are a cool and unique thing I like about your channel.

i love the idea of all these f1 youtubers, almost entirely brits, all coming up at the same time, starting to get interviews one on one with Drivers, invited to events and most importantly going in person to more and more races. at this pace in 3 years times all this jokers are gonna be attending every race in person and reporting straight from the paddocks. incredible! keep up the great content and the world will be your oyster

Loved the video! This was actually quite funny.
Out of the four options of designs you presented in the first section of the video, I liked the last one best. However, I would consider also adding the papaya to the inner layers of the front wing and maybe the top of the rear wing (the part you can see from the front) as well. I feel like that could create a pretty even balance between the papaya and the chrome.
Number 2 for the redesign and Team Piastri! Great content Tommo! Congrats on landing this one! Hopefully you get to do more down the road! Would be fun to do this with all the teammates!

Great video idea and I love the liveries. I would pick the realistic McLaren Livery, I like the original, but I think a bit more Chrome would be great.

Your realistic redesign is everything I want from a McLaren livery. The current Papaya which was the original colour combined with the chrome accents of the Vodaphone era in the deisgn of the Marlboro McLaren "v" shape.
Oscar was great in this, I can see him being one of the true paddock personalities

I'm loving these types of videos that you did in the past couple of days. I really like how Oscar really seemed to open up when talking to you instead of seeming to stick to the years of being told to stick with the script by PR individuals (I know you have to, but it gets annoying when you hear the same thing 20x over).
I really like Lando's design of his F1 team, but I'd like to probably have Lando's Team Principal and Oscar's driver line-up. Lando and Oscar seem to be the reincarnation of the Carlando bromance

The papaya front nose needed the chrome in place and the papaya side pods/wings kept. Would’ve been so much nicer

All chrome is the 1st choice. That bit of papaya on the side is the 2nd choice. Nothing can replace the all chrome with the red from the mid 2000s.

the realistic version of the car is SO GOOD, well balanced still with the papaya, I wish that could have done that without running into issues with sponsors and FIA
